The Yabba Pot

The times I've gone, the service has been decent and prompt. The cashier even threw in an extra dish because they were out of the dish I'd orginially wanted. Seating is tight and limited, but it's still a comfy place and the food is good. The menu is some what limited and they do run out of food quickly. But all in all, you'll enjoy the food and it's the best vegan restaurant I've been to in B-more so far. Check them out on their open mic poetry nights.

I dont know if anyone here has noticed, but the Yabba Pot has moved over to St Paul St for over a year and a half. You should check out the renovated space and the fast new buffet line.

I ate three vegan chocolate chip cookies and I'm so so sick to my stomach. I vomited them up and still feel bleah. I'm glad I threw away my Yabba burrito. There were too many spices on it. Prepare your stomach before trying this type of food.

What attracted me to this place was the name. It is very unique. Unfortunately, that is all that attracted me about this place. As a vegetarian, sometimes my restaurant choices are limited, depending on what part of Baltimore I am in. This restaurant had a menu that served a lot of vegan food, so I thought it would mean I would have a lot of choice in what I could eat. Every time, I asked the waitress for one of the items on the menu, she told me they were out of it or weren't making it that night. Frustrated, I finally told her to bring me whatever she recommended, as long as it was vegetarian. The dish was ok, but since it wasn't what I wanted from the menu, I wasn't very happy. If I ever come here again, I will probably call ahead to make sure they are serving what I want that night.

The Yabba Pot has great food, but don't go if you don't want to spend a lot of time waiting. Both times I have gone, I have waited almost half an hour for food that did not need to be cooked, and was already prepared in a cooler case I could see. In addition, there were quite a few things at both visits that they were out of. Unfortunately, instead of telling us, the waitress kept bringing us food that was different than what we ordered. As an example, my husband ordered a burrito that was to come with beans inside. When he bit into it, he found barbecue tofu instead. The waitress never said a word about it until we asked her if we had ordered the right thing. Her response was, "yeah, but we're out of beans." No sorry, no I should have let you know, nothing.
