We enjoy eating outdoors in the summer and early fall. This is another very nice medium priced restaurant . We liked their menu and they had a very nice patio area for outdoor eating with a great atmosphere.

.

I have been to Carleton Grange many many times over the last two years and have seen a gradual decline in service and quality.

* Menu prices are ridiculously out of line with the quality of the food. I love their fish fry but $12.95? I've never been to a fish fry that wasn't all-you-can-eat that is so expensive. A pint of tap beer is nearly $6. I couldn't believe the jump in prices from my last visit.

* Recent horrible service:
8/22/08 four of us decided to visit the restaurant for fish fry. The line to be seated was chaotic and disorganized with the staff visibly irritated with each other. We were eventually seated in the "library" area at a pair of tables. One of the tables was on the verge of collapsing; the table top tilted drastically from side to side and spun around on its base ~ I'm not exaggerating at all! We decided to fit all four of us at the small table which was connected to the end of our larger table. At this point the host came over and told us "I can't have you sitting here. This table is reserved." We explained that we had been seated at both tables and had moved to the smaller of the two because the larger table was on the verge of collapse. "You'll have to move," he told us and then made no attempt to suggest an alternative. At this point we decided to leave.

We will not be returning and it is not the first negative experience I have heard of at Carleton Grange. Save your money and your time.

Excellent English style fish fry; Great service; large selection of English beers on tap; daily specials, outside dining and lots of tvs for sports, especially soccer. Great during soccer games/tourneys like World Cup!
