I was referred to this site by Workforce1 Bond St, Brooklyn. Left several v-messages, no reply. Then decided to ask the receptionist to take the message for me. Still no reply. You need an appointment for this location and no one

I am a NYS licensed teacher and a certified interior decorator. Finding myself out of work, I spend a lot of time in the Library, where I was approached by a very nice gentleman who told me about Workforce 1. Why not? I have people skills

Workforce one in Jamaica, Queens, and Brooklyn is just a waste of time. They have a computer there where you can apply online with say Home Depot. You can do this in the comfort of your home and don't even have to go to Workforce 1. They

I agree with the users that this is a complete waste of time. I had a bad experience at the workforce 1 in Staten Island. All of them are a bunch of lazy, unprofessional, miserable people. Its in their daily demeanor, in how they address

This place does not help you find anything. I am a college grad but I understand that times is hard so I'm willing to put that aside for the sake of a pay check. This place doesn't even make that simple. They just give you a piece of paper to go and fill out an application online. There are no potential employers at these events, its just a waste of time for something you can do at home. I have been to all the centers and they are all the same. False hope is all they provide.

Pros: none

Cons: no help and very unorganized

Totally agree with the first bad review of this place.
Waste of time going through the process. It's like going through cattle farm. You can't ask anyone or any career advisers questions cause no one is available or no one return your call. It goes by their time which can take a month or more. I understand we are in a recession and more people are entering the place but either change the way their run or add/change more effective employees.

Pros: training, uses of the computer

Cons: appointment, bad commuication, brush off

Now a days its really hard to get a job, but this workforce can get it for you in less than a week, it dosent matter if you start off at minimum wage, you can get promoted, and its so much easier to just get a job here instead of keep searching and having no money...if you really need a job you will come here. You can come here to get a job so you can atleast have something in your pocket, and just keep searching, no one is going to force you to stay with the career they provide you...this place helped me alot.

I went here and they make you sit through a boring and tedious orientation where they tell you they have many employers who come there looking to hire you. Most of the jobs they have available are minimum wage and hardly pertains to people with a college degree and looking to earn something worth their experience/credentials. They say they will set you up with an interview with your account executive (someone who will help you in your search, a professional) but I have waited three weeks and everytime I call to make an appointment - no one is available! They give you a whole bunch of useless handouts that's a waste of paper and ink if you don't plan on being a securityguard or a home health aide. If you give this place a try...be warned that this place is not a slice of heaven.

Pros: Computer Training/Career Training

Cons: Empty promises, low wage jobs, and terrible assignments.
