Enjoyed a nice fried shrimp appetizer that is wrapped instead of tempura batter, it was unique. The luncheon menu is great and the food is so light and tasty. I would love to go back since it's been a while.

I recently got to go to this restaurant. I have been wanting to go for awhile. It was worth the wait!! Everything is clean. The service is great. The chicken mango curry is so good!

The food is always fresh and flavorful, and they're very willing to adjust the spices to taste. There's a full bar and they pour generously (but responsibly!) The servers are attentive and there are plenty of nice touches: linen napkins, fresh flowers, and candle lights. Good desserts, too, especially the ginger ice cream.

They are always busy and take out is available. I love their tofu triangles, apple salad, fresh rolls, and anything with lemon grass. Located across from the Tannery in Nbpt, a great place to people watch on Water street

This is NOT Burger King and you CAN'T have it your way. If you want basic Thai food, and don't have to modify it AT ALL, and can live with the occasional "oops" even in the standard service, then by all means go here. You will probably be seated anywhere you want; since the place was empty at 1PM lunchtime on Wednesday, we should have gotten a clue. We 6 were seated and ordered our lunch. I was easy - Golden Bags and Crab Rangoon. Not bad, but nothing special. The diner next to me asked for NO peppers on her plate. She got them cooked in with her meal. The diner in front of her ordered a chicken plate, and was served the beef version. (He doesn't eat red meat). His wife ordered the seaweed salad without "regular" lettuce, and got a tiny plate of seaweed on a romaine leaf. Almost enough to satisfy her small appetite. The diner next to her, and admittedly a "nervous new food taster" decided to try the peanut chicken. She ordered it without the curry. It came with the chicken cooked in curry spices and put her off (again) trying new foods, since when we sent it back, the chef had a fit and said it didn't have curry. They returned the plate unfixed, and the diner ate the white rice and gave the rest to her brother who said it was weird but edible. Since he ordered the sweet and sour chicken and shrimp and it came with 2 pieces of shrimp and 3 of chicken, he was still hungry.
Most of us had just water, but one diner ordered a Sprite. When I called the waiter over for the 3rd time, I asked about the Sprite and mentioned that there seemed to be a bit of a problem getting our orders correctly. Our waiter said he wasn't the cook, and not to complain to HIM (!). I asked to whom I should speak since I couldn't go in to speak to the cook, and I wasn't annoyed with him, but that the cook needed to get the food orders right. I suggested that maybe we should speak to the manager, and he said he WAS the manager! This astounded us!
We were charged full price for all the meals.

Pros: Good location in downtown Newburyport

Cons: Service, Attention to needs of diners, terrible attitude by Waiter/Manager.
