I have gone to this practice for 15 years, and now halfway through my first pregnancy I am running to get out. The staff is rude, no one shares information, and they'll do anything to make a buck. They screwed up my appointments, so I've had to go every 2 weeks through my first and second trimester for no reason. There have been several appointments where I've literally gone in to pee in a cup, have the doctor spend 5 minutes with me and act inconvienenced with the few simple questions I have, and then been sent on my merry way. My favorite was when I received a $150 bill for an out-of-network doctor reading my sonogram, even though the sonogram was performed in THEIR office which is in-network! I spent over 2 hours on the phone between their horrible billing department and my insurance, and I'm still not sure it's settled.

If they are this out of sync, uncooperative, and unfriendly during normal practice, I can only imagine what it would be like in labor in the middle of the night with complications. Running to find another practice (although I'll need to be $1/page for my records to leave!)

I was a patient here and some of the doctors are phenomenal and the women that do blood work are great. The staff and communication is TERRIBLE and so unhelpful. I went in for an annual and then had to go back because it the doctor did not write my exam as an annual. Then when I went back Dr Lobosco prescribed the WRONG medication which is a severe issue for me because I have epilepsy. Also all nurses and doctors REFUSED to call my neurologist to get permission to re-prescribe the birth control. Then on top of it I got sent the generic of my birth control AND the regular birth control, so double the copay. If you choose to go here, speak up and make the nurses and doctors understand what you want/need.

I am pregnant with my first child and I went to this office because they seemed professional and a trustworthy clinic, i was a little hesitant that i had to see a different doctor everytime and i wasn't comfortable with it, nonetheless, i went along with it and went in for my first appointment. I went in and they did an ultrasound and they told me that they don't see the yolk sac yet and that they should be seeing it at this time (they said i was 6 weeks pregnant), so they asked me to come back in a week for another ultrasound to determine if there had been any growth and if they can see the sac. So i went back the next time and they told me that there is absolutley no growth, and that they don't see a heartbeat or a baby. I was devastated when they told me that I had a miscarriage and they need to schedule me for a DNC procedure. They never bothered to take a urine sample, blood tests, or measure my HCG level. When i tried to ask the doctor why i could've had a miscarriage, she dismissed it like it was nothing and that it was very common and i can always "try again". I told them i'll think about the DNC procedure and i'll let them know. The staff and nurses kept calling me almost daily to come back and schedule the DNC procedure and i kept telling them that i'm still waiting and didn't make the decision yet whether i want to go for it or wait to miscary naturally. However, they were very persistent and kept calling. Finally, i decided to go for a second opinion and they did another ultrasound and they saw a heartbeat, i went back to the second doctor for a follow up ultra sound the next week and they confirmed my pregnancy was fine and that i was 7 weeks pregnant and everything seems okay.

I called Brusnwick Hills again and told them that i went for a second opinion and they saw the heartbeat and finally they stopped calling. I am very frustrated at them that they were willing to get rid of a baby without giving it much though just because they thought that i was further along than i really was. They kept ignoring me when i kept telling them that my cycle is irregular and i don't ovulate every 28 days and they dismissed this like it was nothing.

I do not recommend this place to anyone, i felt that they were just dealing with me as a machine or robot not an actual person, they weren't wiling to inform me about anything and when i asked about more information, the doctor simply printed an article from online and gave it to me to read at home.

2 weeks after giving birth to my daughter I moved to NJ. I did my post natal follow up here and it all seemed great. They following year I discovered I was pregnant and things were looking good until I miscarried. I needed to have a DNC. All seemed well until I came home and picked up my now 1 year old daughter. I literally felt something fall inside of me and had a wierd pressure down there. I also had complications of missed material and ended up at St. Peters. St. Peters couldn't do anything because I had already passed a huge piece of tissue. So I went back to the office to see my NP and she waived it off like it was nothing (the whole thing even my experiencing the heavy pressure and wierd feelings when I went #1 and #2. I called back made another appointment and asked her if she thinks I might have a uterine or other type of prolapse. She told me that a 30 year old woman can NOT have a prolapse. (ladies this is not true you can have one younger than that if you have had a baby) Clearly this NP new NOTHING about Prolapse issues in woman. I went to see the Urologist in the same building and sure enough, I had bladder and rectal prolapse. Something very commen in women who have had multiple pregnancies and any other "trauma" (pregnancy is considered trauma) to the uterus.

ON top of all this the office staff is HORRIBLE and I was overcharged multiple times and as stated in other reviews I had to fight and threaten with the state to get my money back

This is without a doubt the most dishonest practice that I have ever encountered. They recently ran tests on my wife without her permission and are now charging us $7,000. We did not approve of it and even said that we would not like it done. They lied about why they were drawing my wife's blood also. Amazing. Do not go there. You will be sorry if you do.

Also, during my 20th week of pregnancy, I asked when my next ultrasound would be and was told by the staff that it gets scheduled for week 38. During week 38, I was merely interviewed by the doctor about how I felt about my pregnancy and size of the baby and that a mother's intuition about the baby's size is usually the best guage regardless of what technology is used to determine baby's size. I didn't realize that this interview would substitute for an ultrasound...My appointment was at the end of the day so it leaves me wondering if the doctor was just eager to close the office at the end of the day. (I had to do evening appointments b/c I lived far and had to be home b4 my kids got home.) On my way out to the front desk while passing the ultrasound area, I asked if I was having an ultrasound done and was told "no" I was done for the day. On my next appointment, this time with Dr. Fischer, I asked why I hadn't been given an ultrasound on my 38th wk and she looked at me like I had 3 heads and said "what for???" making me think that my question was completely ridiculous...Also, when she listened to my child's heartbeat, I thought it sounded like a skip within the first second or 2. She merely repositioned her stethoscope and listened for an aditional 15 seconds. Is 15 seconds really enough time to get a picture of a child's health? Especially if it didn't sound right initially?
On week 37, my blood pressure shot up to a high of 170/ when they took my vitals before being seen by my doctor but went down after the appointment. It was dismissed as a fluke, but in retrospect and taken w/ the all the other signs I mentioned to the various doctors, ie..less movement and softer sounding heartbeat and intuitive feeling that I wanted baby delivered early, could have been indicators the baby was in distress.
During week 36, I had asked Dr. Fischer if I could get my pregnancy induced and she said they don't normally do this and said we'll talk about it when it's closer to my due date. I guess I used the wrong terminology because what I really was hoping for was to schedule a planned delivery via c-section. In a better Dr.-patient relationship, she might have taken that opportunity to explain to me that what I probably was trying to ask for was a scheduled c-section and not an induction which is used to speed up delivery rather than completely dismissing the conversation for a later time altogether.
Had I had the same doctor throughout my pregnancy, she might have noticed a history of changes that could have rung a bell that something was not right.
I could not believe that for my entire pregnancy, the most monitoring I received was my inital ultrasound and one more at 20 weeks of pregnancy despite my advanced maternal age.
My pregnancy ended on week 40, my due date of May 18, 2010 when I found out that my son's heart had stopped beating and he was delivered stillborn the next day. I cry as I write this because this is the first time I have opened up about this to others. but I feel that it is my duty to Brandon and to other parents out there to speak up about "being your unborn child's advocate and speak up and persist when you feel that the care for your unborn child is not adequate".
I was told by the doctors at the practice that there was no way to prevent the chord from wrapping around his neck and leg but I feel that at least with better screening, and better management of care, it might have been detected before it became fatal. 3D ultrasounds show even the tiniest details (fingers, toes), why couldn't they have seen the chord around his neck and leg? Why??? Because they didn't even bother to do a screening!!! and because all the possible warning signs went unnoticed by individual doctors who had no idea about the big picture of my pregnancy. My pregnancy was poorly managed by this practice... I could have pressed for litigation, but that is not my intent..I only want that this not to happen to another child and if this technology is out there for 3D screening, I believe it should be made available. The cost out- of pocket is so insignificant so I do not understand why this practice did not offer or even recommend this as part of prenatal care???
Because of this, and until these practices are changed, I do not recommend this office at all for prenatal care despite my prior care with them. They are not vigilant in their care. Your child deserves only the best care. My world ended that day and the only thing I can do is not let it happen to anyone else. I feel bad because there are doctors in the practice that are wonderful like Dr. Salley and Dr. Johnson, but I don't believe that my pregnancy was well managed and the cost of my precious child's life was too heavy of a price to pay. Brandon would be one year old today.

My third child, Brandon was strong and vital...when I sat down and leaned back,he would kick me hard and let me know he was there. I was so thrilled to be having a new little person to enjoy. In fact, I stayed home alot during the harsh winter and just enjoyed being pregnant with him and feeling him move around. I was in heaven and felt so blessed to be having another child 10 years after our first one.. He would have a loving father, a big sister, Abby, who loved him and a very proud 6- year old brother, Joshua, to look out for him and train him to be fun and mischeivous just like him. He would be the whole family's little baby and we were all going to spoil him forever. I imagined the days when I could have all 3 of my children in my lap together. He was my long awaited baby and I was so overjoyed being pregnant with him. I had many good days just being.
I came to Brunswick Hills Obgyn for my pregnancy with Brandon & expectd everything to be smooth sailing since I was in very good health despite my age-early 40s. I had my first 2 children with this practice and I received great care then. This time around was different. They had expanded their office and with it, had also expanded their staff. I was told to try to see a different doctor with each appointment so I could meet everyone in case that was
my doctor for delivery. I followed their recommendation and regret it with all my heart. In retrospect, how could they get familiar with my pregnancy and notice any changes that could indicate my baby's distress in the womb when there is a different doctor each time?
There was no chance to develop a relationship with the doctor like you would with your child's pediatrician who is familiar with your child and can recognize changes from one appointment to the next.
When your child is in the womb, you are the only advocate for your child so if you notice changes or have concerns, it's important that your doctor has a history of your pregnancy. How is this possible if your conversation is with a different doctor each visit?
To be cont'd...

I've read so many fab reviews elsewhere, I'm glad I found this particular site! First, as many of you have said, the office staff is awful. There are too many young girls working the desk. They all jump on you asking hownthey can help, but can never answer any questions aside for checking you in (if that). I say this because I was inadvertently OVERCHARGED on more than one occasion. Folks, check your copays before going there. If they make a mistake, claiming they are a specialist even though your card lists OB GYN, you may be overcharged as I was. Instead of verifying this, the idiot charged me. It took 8 weeks and 3 phone calls for a refund.

Now, onto the nurses and other staff...one nurse in particular is the most arrogant person in the industry. I later found out from the dr I saw that the nurse had never confirmed with her my question when she had told me she verifies w the doctor. That is a problem. Had I had a complication, she'd be at fault for lying. She, and the front desk also blab your business rather loudly. No professionalism. I also had a hard time getting questions answered when I called the office. I cannot tell you how many people I was passed off to. I tend to think someone decided to have a late lunch and return my call at their leisure, meanwhile while I am curled over in dire pain. I say this because I've observed the girls passing around donuts and gossiping throughout the day.

Sadly, I don't think the doctors care or are aware of this. It's unfortunate, because I've had good experiences with the doctors. It's until I get to the exam room that I have an awful experience.

My wife has been going to this group since she was 17. Now at 32 she is having her first baby (Due next month) I have been w/ her here for other procedures over the years and they seemed very professional (Dr. Lobosco is her gyn and he is marvelous) Problems all started when she got pregnant. Her gyno doesn't deliver babies any more so the rest of the group saw her. Every visit we get quick in and out sessions. They tell us nothing unless we ask. We are first time parents and dont have a clue as to what to ask. We had a complication early on that almost cost us to lose our son and They did 1 ultra sound and we waited till 4 weeks for the next one, when many of our friends w/ complications were getting them weekly. I feel that the drs do not communicate to one another. They don't offer 3d ultra sounds, again when all of our friends (we are friends w/ 6 other pregnant couples) have them. And when you hear about the service others are getting and compare, it just doesn't!
St. Peter's hospital is one of the best in the state and they are affiliated, so next month when my son comes, I'm sure I'll have great things to say about them, but as for this group, I would say go for your Gyno Visits, but having a baby here I would STRONGLY recommend choosing elsewhere!

I cannot recommend a more professional and knowledgeable group of professionals. Dr. Fisher is extraordinarily attentive, easy to talk to about sensitive issues and her treatment literally saved my life. She was always encouraging and well versed in my options. When Dr. Fisher was not available subsequent to my surgery, Dr. Labasco has helped me. He is the guru on maintaining a healthy ph. The staff who receive you are professional, the facility is immaculate and the ultrasound techs are great too. I highly recommend Brunswick Hills. While it is difficult to get an initial appointment (as it is at most OBGYN's in NJ), I have never had a problem getting an appointment following my initial appointment. I have been a patient there for six years and if I move, I will travel there to continue being a patient there. They are simply that good.

This is the worst place ever. It is impossible to get an appointment unless you book 6 months in advance. Then they mix up the appointment they gave you. They also are not open on weekends, and CHARGE you $1 per page to transfer your records. I moved out of state and they will not release my information to my doctor unless I pay.

I was very nervous going for my colpo appointment in the first place, and when I got there the staff was very unfriendly. Not even a hello. I ended up seeing a nurse practitioner who laughed when I said I was here for a colpo, because I needed to make an appointment for it. (which my doctor had, which is why I was there in the first place). So she gave me a brochure and told me to come back in 3 weeks and schedule the colpo. I left and paid my 40$ co-pay...for no reason, just to schedule the same appointment again. I didn't feel comfortable there at all. Yes, the office is pretty and new, but it's the people that matter, and I didn't receive any care that was worth returning to. They treat you like you are just part of a process. I wouldn't recommend this office at all.

I just saw Dr. Cernadas on a friend's recommendation. She squeezed me in when i called yesterday with a problem, and i'm not even a regular patient. Everyone I met there was friendly & helpful . The Dr. was very nice & professional & informative. I'm grateful for her sensitivity & friendliness. ( not a shred of usual dr. condescension) I will become a patient & will happily recommend this Dr. to my family and friends. Thanks so much for the peace of mind & speedy assistance. sue

This is the worst group I have ever seen. They are around 5-6 doctors and I was seen by all of them during my pregnancy. There is no coordination between them. I was suppose to have a c-section and I was chasing them to get a date instead of them giving me a date.. Also one night I was admitted to St. Peters as I had some contractions.. None of the doctors made a visit. Neither I received any calls from their office on how I was doing. Very careless and unprofessional attitude. I stopped going there from that day onwards...

Please don't go there. You would definitely find better doctors and better human beings..

First of all if you are visiting the place for your pregnancy and expect them to take you through a smooth sailing delivery, drop the idea...Nurses & Front desk staff are absolutely RUDE, they shut the door on my face when i said i have already taken a test and do not wish to retake it. they do not care ...

Their nurse practitioners are absolutely fabulous- if you can last long enough to see them. The secretaries and desk staff are the most incompetent, horribly rude, and completely incapable of running the place. They are impossible to get a hold of by phone, and if you have any procedures done, you can never get your results. I have put up with this place for three years now and have finally given up hope. I keep going back because I love their nurses and doctors so much, they have been so good to me. But literally every single other aspect of this practice is so incredibly mismanaged and poorly run, I am shocked. I have even had people ask me if I felt the same way when sitting in their waiting room! Once an aide escorted me to a room, had me get undressed and sit on the table, and then forgot to tell the doctor to come and see me. After 45 minutes I got redressed and went back out to see what was going on. After a ton of apologies, I went back to the room, where I then waited another 45 minutes! I eventually gave up and just walked out. I will never step another foot into that place.

I had an over all good experience with Brunswick Hills. Doctor Cherot, Karanikolas, Cernadas and Salley are exceptionally caring and helpful. Doctor Cherot delivered my baby and she was a total angel. I couldn't ask for a better birth experience. They take blood and do ultrasounds in the office. They are very good about scheduling, there is hardly ever a wait. The one issue I had with them was speaking to someone over the phone. I wanted my results from a blood test and was promised call backs that never happened. I also wanted to order an IUD and got the run around from the staff. Again, lots of phone calls that were never answered.** Doctor Johnson and Solomon had a bit of an attitude, I would not see either of them again. **

Terrible experience. Some the staff are rude. If you have an emergency question to a nurse, receptionist will still transfer you to a voice mail. They keep you under stress by not responding to you the same day and they do not seem to care much that you have pregnancy with complications - they will get to you when they get to you!
As for doctors, some of them are nice and caring, but for example Dr. Karanikolas always has expression on his face like he would like to be somewhere else, not at work. As soon as he walks out of the exam room, he forgets what he just promised you to do.
Also, keep in mind, if you decide to go somewhere else, the office will charge $1 per copy of each page of your medical records. My friend had to pay more than $50!
You feel like you are just an insignificant number. I give one star to this place only because it's clean.

Every person in the office is a minority. They're always in a rush and there's always a wait. If your appointment is at 5 don't expect to be seen until 5:45. The staff is rude and you can't speak to someone right away if you have a concern they have to call you back. I would never go back there.

I am so happy I found these docs. I went to my prior gyn and was told I had a problem and to schedule an ultrasound with radiology group. I called Brunswick Hills instead. They saw me the same day and had ultrasound in the office. The staff was pleasant, the office was beautiful and clean. The doctor was pleasant and comforting. I was very happy with my experience and will go no where else!

I've been seeing the midwives and Dr's here for years, they are caring proffessional and courteous. I have waited a bit for an appointment but that is because they are so popular and great!!!! The midwives stayed with me for 12 hours in the hospital out of the 27 hours of labor!! Because of their patience I avoided a c-section and I was confident through the whole delivery!!! I work at a hair salon and anytime you mention their name five women will speak up and profess their love as well!!! It is a great place!

I recommend this place for emergency appointments only since if you have a problem i.e. yeast infection, they will schedule an appointment that same day to see you. This is the ONLY pro.

Now Cons: -No Saturdays.
- Ridiculously long wait. I once waited 3 hours for a midwife to see me, (I had one of those emergency appointments), and no one apologized for the unreasonable wait, their only explanation was midwives have less rooms to work out of.

My friend??s horror story: My friend was told that they could not hear her baby??s heartbeat and wanted to schedule her for the D&C ( to terminate the pregnancy) the very next day, but she went to a another practice for a second opinion who told her to wait for 2 weeks to see if the baby will grow and if they will hear the heartbeat then.. and they DID ? She had a beautiful baby girl.

My advice, go to any other obgyn, they can??t be worse than EB hills.

A busy group of obstetrician/gynecologists. There are six doctors, nurse practioners and midwives on staff. Certain doctors are very popular, and you have to call four months in advance for an appointment. Laboratory and ultrasound on site. They don't take Medicare. The doctors I have seen are very good. especially Dr. Cernadas, who is a woman. She is very caring and listens to your problems. Parking lot is small, so sometimes parking is difficult. Offices are clean. TVs in waiting room. I like that if additional tests are ordered, you can get them done right thre, such a s bloodwork or ultrasounds.
