Great Dr from many perspectives
Not only does Dr. Braun really care about her patients and offers world class patient care, she is also great to work with too. She and her entire family are truly experts in their field who love what they do and put their patient's well being first and foremost. Consider yourself lucky to be seen by one of these outstanding physicians. Once you get that initial appt. and become an established patient there is no doubt you will be taken care of.

great doctor, great experience
I found this site while looking for Dr. Braun's phone number to make an appointment, and I wanted to post a positive review after reading all the others...
I've been seeing Dr. Braun for the past 2 years for a number of different reasons: mole removals, "spot checks," rashes, acne, etc. I have been very impressed with her and her office staff. After the first long wait to get my new patient appointment, I have always been able to get appointments quickly. Once at the office I have never waited more than 5 mins to get seen. Dr. Braun always takes the time to explain my conditions in plain english (not clinical speak), and always asks if i have any other questions before she leaves me. I recommend her to any one who listens!

Cold welcome by staff at reception desk
As a new patient I was not impressed. Although I received no reminder, I came to my first appointment on time and was greeted by an empty chair at the reception desk, a few minutes later the
receptionist took her seat and what looked like a private call on her cell phone. I filled up the appropriate new patient forms which took no longer than 5 minutes, and then observed 6 patients called in to see the Doctor before me when 5 of them actually arrived after me.
I felt, I was wasting my time until I was shown in to see the youngest doctor of the team, Marisa Braun, who luckily made a good impression: she was friendly and efficient, and so was her medical assistant. It's a pity that the administrative staff isn't trained well.

Fewer appointments and RXes would be better
This is a family-owned business. Alicia was nice and diagnosed me, but I wasted a lot of money on prescriptions that did not work, when we knew the one prescription that did work. Why bother with other RXes?

Alicia Braun and Medication
Dr. Alicia Braun prescribed my son an antibacterial antibiotic called ADOXA. He was on it for six months as instructed. On returning for a followup, I expressed concern at what I had read on the internet about the build up of liver toxicity with this medication. I was told not to worry. Another six months went by, the acne did not really clear up and on having a blood test, my son was showing very high toxicity in the liver.
Do not take Adoxa for this long!

Okay doctor, bad office policies
I went to see the doctor about a bump in my hand which she diagnosed as a mucus cyst and was able to get rid of. So, from a service, perspective, she was fine.
However, her office staff was SO snotty with me. I had been asked to show up 15 minutes early. I showed up 5 minutes early with PLENTY of time to fill out my paper work. I was done with it before my scheduled appointment time. But they told me I was actually LATE, and had to be 'worked in'. It happened right away, but if it had not, I could have sat there many hours despite the fact that technically, I was there and ready at my appointment time.
I will not see her again.
PROS:
CONS: Bad office policies

bed bugless
Will not go to visit Dr. Braun again. I felt like I was on an assembly line. Did not like her bedside manner one bit! She did not give me the time of day when I was trying to explain my theory on my hives, rash or whatever it is. Dr. Braun told me I was suffering from bed bug bites and that was that. I tried to explain that it did not make sense, because I had the rash in other areas of the country and did not bring them with me and I was not being bitten since the weather got colder, but she did not seem to care to listen and try to help me find another solution. Too busy!
Come to find out after I spent lots of $ trying to rid my house of bed bugs that I did not have bed bugs at all. The exterminator said I was having an allergic reaction when I showed him the photos of my rash. He went out in my yard and said it was poison sumac. My exterminator, not Dr. Braun!!!

Alicia Braun ok, Staff is lacking.
Dr. Alicia Braun always had a pleasant bedside manner during my yearly appointments for skin cancer screening. She answered any questions and we always discussed new options in skin care and protection.
However, not being able to see her for a yearly appt, I was scheduled with Dr. Martin Braun (I believe her father). I received a reminder call re: my appt (which was nice) the night previous at which time I said I would do my best to arrive 15 minutes early but I had to twist arms at work to get out of a mandatory meeting in order to make the appt and was going to leave work at the last possible moment. I did this and arrived exactly 15 minutes early and was immediately told that Dr. Braun was running at least one hour late and I can reschedule or wait. No apology, no nothing. The staff there is rude, acting like you are an inconvenience and not their means of paycheck. I asked why I was not called, and she stated there was no warning. An hour wait will certainly have a warning. A doctor knows when he is behind. Had she offered more politeness and maybe even a sympathetic expressions, I would have waited. But as rush hour was closing in and my car was parked at a restricted location, an hour wait was too long and my frustration was up. I cancelled and am deciding if I will go back. As an hourly employee, I lost money due to Dr. Braun and still was not seen. I work at a vet office and the animals we see receive more respect and courtesy than I rec'd at Dr. Braun's.

Great Doctor - Staff, NO good
Alicia is a wonderful doctor, however, it is very hard to get an appt. Do not think that her staff even cares if you get in or not. I think you could have skin cancer and they would get you in sometime in the next 6 months.
Alicia is very helpful and kind. A wonderful doctor to see.

Alicia is great - staff is not
I have seen Alicia for many years and she is a wonderful doctor with a great bedside manner. With that said, over the past couple of years I have noticed her staff is not-friendly and somewhat disorganized. Also, their office hours are a bit ridiculous, i believe they close the phones for two hours for lunch and then end the day at 4.30pm. I continue to see her but, a change in office staff and office hours would make this a five star doctor's office!
PROS: Alicia is great
CONS: The staff are un-friendly and not helpful
