.

I worked for Persimmon for 8 entire days, during which time I was whispered about, spied on and talked about my entire shift. The gal who was training me yelled at me and told me not to follow her to the various employees offices, even though we were distributing mail and it was my job to learn where everyone was. I got to work 10 min. early each day and waited for the front door to be unlocked with a smile on my face. I repeated instructions back to my trainer so I could make sure I had them correct, and bought new professional attire and dressed well each day, with hair and make up perfectly done, as they did. However, my trainer made it clear my clothes were gaudy and not "classy" (her words). She interrupted me while speaking and asking her questions, and ran and tattled on me every hour to the owner/manager (about what, exactly, I don't know). I was never given any feedback or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I never was told what was wrong, just that it was a "personality thing". So, I came out of it with my self-esteem badly shook up. The worst part? The gal training me was a member of my own church!!! She was quitting to get married and start a writing career, so I wasn't a threat to her job in any way. She was at least 12 years yonger than I and thought she was "all that and a bag of chips" while I was a pile of crumbs. It was a bad experience and in my opinion, not a realty company I would ever use.

We bought a new house from a builder over a year ago, and Persimmon were the agents representing the builder. Since we didn't come with a realtor ourselves, they also became the buyer's agents. The run-up to the closing was okay. The realtor would keep on top of things, and was a good liaision between us and the builder. However when we did the pre-closing walk-through, we found several glaringingly obvious items which the realtor should have spotted. Also, after the close, we did not hear from the realtor again. No follow-up whatsoever.

PROS: Good service prior to closing.
CONS: No follow-up after closing.
