This course is great for its location....if you live in Mission Viejo. The fairways are like roughs elsewhere and the roughs are like a forest. Course is in desperate need of upkeep. The holes are also very narrow which is bad news if you have even a slight slice. Not bad for the money if you don't mind walking it. A cart will cost you $10 per person. Sneak your own beers/water in since the food/bevearage station between the front/back 9 will set you back a pretty penny.

Ive played courses from Long Island to to all over Florida ,California and most of all the courses in Hawaii,(lived there for 10 years ) and this course may not be ready for ESPN , but for the old mighty dollar it's not all that bad.... short but fun !!

Course condition
by Anonymous
The tee boxes are in very poor condition, grass is very long. The course is also in need of maintenance. Traps are flooded or very wet. Practice putting green very good condition.

I am, by no means, an expert in golf. As a beginner, I found this golf course to be moderately large, although most people would disagree. The golf course can be challenging and you will need a driver for this course -- whereas, beginner courses have maybe one or two holes where a driver is necessary. You can rent a golf cart to drive around the course if you feel lazy. There is someone on the course selling food and beverages so if you forget to eat or bring water with you, you can always buy some there but don't expect anything to be cheap.
PROS: Fun, Not too big / Not too Small
CONS: Houses and shrubs on the hillside can be bad for those with terrible aim
