Don't let the pool and the small basketball court deceive you - Crossing Place isn't that nice. Expect to get gouged if you're looking for housing during the summer, when new students are typically looking. Crossing Place is also built right next to a low-income neighborhood, which could possibly contain all the problems low-income neighborhoods sometimes contain.

The staff are decent, sometimes. At a minimum, expect to lose your air conditioning at least once a year, and your internet connection at least once a month.

One nice perk is that internet, cable TV (and HBO), and water are paid for.

A few years ago, Crossing Place built fences along the golf course built behind it, which was a shame, since the path was a nice jog in the evening. The exercise room is busy during the evening, but relatively empty during the day. The pool gets cleaned often enough, but for your own health stay out of the hot tub, as it's not cleaned nearly often enough for the things I've witnessed in it.

If you're bent on living on Riverside, Crossing Place is an option. Don't disregard options on Oltorf, which often have the same (or better) busline coverage for cheaper, and nicer surroundings.
