Broadway, and its many theaters are a must-see for many tourists visiting New York, and this theater, I am happy to say, is definitely a worthwhile place to visit. "All Shook Up" was playing when I visited, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The theater, located in the ground floor of the Double Tree hotel right in the heart of the Times Square neighborhood, was grand, and harked to a bygone era. Yes, even though the outside was all neon and glitz, this place was still grand, with mouldings all around and countless chandeliers. The chairs were comfy, and I felt like I got my money's worth. Let me tell you: I've seen some nice venues, and this still ranks among the best I've been to. There were real ushers to show you to your seats, and the production was wonderful. There was an orchestra playing underneath the stage! It's really amazing to find out that this place holds like 1700 people. It feels quite intimate, but not too crowded.
The Palace Theater even had a bar and gift counter on the first floor, selling memorabilia from the show. Those areas were pricey though. Still, I can't wait to come back!
I got my tickets from the nearby tkts booth for $50 a person, which I think was a good $19 less per person than the theater's box office was charging. So you may want to check tkts out!

Aida is a joy to watch from beginning to end. I was totally captivated every moment. Quite often I was moved to tears! The musical score is beautiful. I cannot recommend Aida highly enough. I can't wait to see it again!
