Big doings at Historic Sylvan Beach Amusement Park. New purchaser pouring a fortune into a major multi -year restoration and expansion program which started in the spring of 07. Very retro flavor a real Coney Island/ Wild Wood boardwalk feeling lots of neon, great victorian and art deco architecture, very colorful. Beautiful sand beach, inspirational sunsets, great food and night life. A very family oriented park. Fun for all ages and we highly recommend it. Near Syracuse N.Y. Just off I 90 or I 81. on beautiful Oneida Lake.

Another of my daughter's favorite. We have made this a yearly trip. They have several rides for the smaller kids. We haven't gone into the larger rides too much, so I can't comment on them. They have a huge carousel and tons of games. It feels like an old fashion amusement park. We usally go when we can pay one price and ride unlimited rides. The kids can earn tickets playing the games and then buy small toys w/ them. The beach is small enough to enjoy wiht out losing the kids. The bathrooms were even kept very clean, except for sand.

Possessing an old fashioned feel and flavor but with a well maintained exterior, Sylvan Beach Amusement Park is a local treasure for families! Offering a wide selection of both more commonly found as well as unique rides (Laffland, the Bomber, to name 2) and an extensive Kiddieland, it's a fun way to spend a day. Included in the park are several small arcades, assorted snack booths and a full restaurant, delicious homemade ice cream at Yesterday's Royal and a nearby beach. There are a variety of price specials, on Wednesday and Friday nights in particular and service is friendly and helpful!
