I enjoyed driving through the park, which consists of a beautiful scenic route of hills and valleys with a large body of water situated near the middle of it. This trip was in the winter, even though the weather was very mild. I saw animals not seen before such as spotted hyenas and gray wolves, however, rhinos, lions and tigers were not seen. Various types of hoofed animals, some roaming freely, as well as ducks, geese, emus and ostriches. Great for animal lovers and those that like the outdoors, but be prepared to pay upwards of $30 dollars or more depending on how many people you are traveling with.

This site has improved over the years and provides a great experience of seeing many wild animals in outdoor habitats. While not entirely native for many of these creatures (I don't think there are many black jack oaks in the Serengeti), the setting is beautiful. You can tour by car or safari van and there is a small walk through zoo available. I thought it was a bit pricey, but there is something for all ages and the youngsters thought it great fun.

On our recent trip to OK, we stopped at the Arbuckle Wilderness Park. It is a 7 mile park where you drive through and feed the animals from you car. During the drive, you will see Ostrich, Giraffes, Yaks, Deer, Camels, Rhinos, Cows, Tigers and Lions. It is well worth the drive there. The admission was a little high but after you complete your drive through the park, you will think it was worth it especially if you have children.

Arbuckle wilderness advertises itself as Oklahoma's premier exotic animal theme park. My friends and i visited this attraction on our way to Turner falls. We did the drive-thru safari where for a fee (14.99 for adults and 12.99 for kids) you can drive through the park and view animals like the ostriches, giraffes, deer moving around freely in their natural environment. You can purchase animal feed and stop and feed the animals. It was fun experience for the kids and the adults enjoyed it too.
