We have been shopping at Cooper's for over 20 years. Upon the death of the owner everything changed. The new oweners got in a family battle amongst themselves. One inherited the business and other the very cool old barns and store building. Well, when one person required a monthly rent payment from the other, a huge battle broke out. To spite the building owner they then moved the business way out into to boonies. They do offer a huge selection of exotic items but they have largely run off the old drive up and purchase now customers, Sort of sad if you ask me. Any MBA will tell you that if you move a very old business more than a mile or two you will lose most of your existing customers,
They often do not answer their telephone during business hours. They no longer allow drive up business. You must phone and phone until someone answers. Then you place your order in advance.
Nowadays they are often out of common items.
We still shop there even though it is now much more difficult.

I have been going to William Cooper Feed Store for 30+ years. Today I went for my last time. I have averaged spending 2K per year, but today a man identified as the new manager, a preacher, web host, and retired military man made me aware that I was not a "big enough account". I was working with his son, when he rudely interrupted, told his son to write heavier on the ticket and told him that he should not sell me that much product as big customers were coming later. I informed him I was a "big" customer standing 6"5 and 290 lbs. :-). Since William died and his niece is not there, I see them going belly up soon. They had NO product to speak of in either warehouse. So with that said, God rest in peace William, I know your not happy with this kind of customer service.

I have gone to Cooper?s Feed and Seed store for the past year to purchase seed and other items. Going into this store is like going into an old time country store with the atmosphere and overall environment. They have a wide variety of seed and gardening tools, and I have found pet items that I couldn?t find in other areas. Their prices are good and the service is excellent.

PROS: Great Seed Store and More
CONS: None

Located in an old wood floor barn just off the center of Lawrenceville, Cooper Feed & Seed has been suppling wholesale and retail feed for horses, pigs, cows, etc. as well as carrying a full range of trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials. They have a huge store with harware, garden tools, tillers, mowers and the like. They are one of the largest supppliers of all types of bird seed and carry a very large selection of bird feeders. The have a section of nick nacks that are horse, cow, bird, and pig oriented. In the winter season they carry fresh greens for wreaths or garlands. In the summer you can get any vegetable plant imaginable here. It truly is an old fashion farm located in a busy little city.

PROS: Great parking, great prices, great selection
CONS:
