There were dozens of local websites where I could have posted this review. However, I chose insiderpages.com because I felt that I might have bragging rights to the definite insider story by users of this category.

See, I'm one of those people who researches important issues to death. I was also born destined to have bad teeth... meaning that everyone in my immediate family is either born with a bad bite or sooner or later develops bad teeth.

My own bad teeth began giving me real trouble around my 30th birthday. To say that I was self-conscious about it would be an epic understatement. So, when I finally admited that I needed cosmetic dental surgery, I just had to find one of the best dentists out there; Didn't I?

To make a long story short, I enlisted the help of my similarly-motivated siblings and cousins to do my research. As a way of a survey, I settled on asking a simple question: "Who's your family dentist?" to a variety of health care providers.

As expected, many names came out, including some dentists who have good reviews in insiderpages and elsewhere. However, a particular dentist was mentioned most often.

My clincher came when I heard "Oh, you??d probably need to see Dr Lopez, the Queen of Restorative Dentistry!"; Who??s that? I asked, and the reply was "she??s a doctor who specializes not only in mainstream family dentistry, but also in the more intricate aspects of cosmetic restorations".

But it came with a warning" "The catch is that it's hard to get in to see her, but it's well worth it! Her patients really trust her, and she treats everybody like they are family".

Yet, I??m so glad I resisted the temptation of going to a less busy doctor. Right away, I felt that I was in the right hands. She was very deliberate from the first time I saw her. I never felt rushed, and she never pushed anything on me. Instead, she carefully described all my treatment options, and then gave me her recommendations while explaining the reasons.

I would agree that she has a busy practice. Still, whenever I needed to be seen right away, I found that being a little flexible, and leaving Dr Lopez a personal message (and my cell) would usually do the trick. The reason is that her office is really good at re-assigning relased appointements as they become available, but they do that on a first-confirmed-first-served basis.

Once I decided on a particular treatment plan, Dr Lopez coordinated a long battery of specialist??s procedures (ortho, perio, endo) before doing any actual work herself. Eventually, I ended up getting an "almost full makeover". When it was finally done, I almost cried of joy and relief. Now my smile is beautiful, my teeth are healthy, and I absolutely love her.

But beyond being a gifted dentist, her human touch and bed side manners are simply extraordinary. It makes me wonder, why can't all dentists, or all doctors for that matter, be more like her?

Before I wrote this review, I asked Dr Lopez if her practice was still open to new patients. She said: "Yes, it is! In fact, from the start my practice has always depended entirely on referrals". Her answer made perfect sense, after all that's how I found her ;-)

This gave me the most compelling reason ever to recommend Dr. Lopez, namely that her busy practice is totally based on the excellent quality of her relationship with existing patients and colleagues.

I have been Dr. Lopez's patient for several years. I've had regular check-ups and a crown done in her clinic and never had any problems. Dr. Lopez is skillful and caring. Her assistant and staff are knowledgable and courteous. Overall, the environment is not intimidating at all. The only issue is that you might have to wait to get an appointment. However, I generally call her if I need to see her in a hurry so I've never had to wait more than a day. Overall, my experience has been relatively painless at her clinic.

PROS: Best bedside manners & Painless treatments
CONS: waiting list
