Sahara East is one of the first hookah bars I started going to in NYC, and will always have a fond place in my heart. I've made great memories there with many friends. Friday and Saturday nights get crowded, so get there early or late, and be prepared to wait for a little while. Better to go on an "off" night during the week. The middle eastern food is delicious, I love the falaffel and hummos. The staff may seem rushed, but probably only because the place is busy.
Tax and tip are included in the bill, so pay attention when splitting up a bill.
Beer and wine are on the menu.
There is a 2 drink minimum.

Sahara East is one of the best hookah places i've been to in NYC. all the waiters are very friendly and will be glad to do anything to make your experience a memorable one. The hookahs are of great quality and the food is tasty. A couple things to keep in mind, this place does not serve any alcohol. Also, tip and tax are included in the bill regardless of the number of people at your table, so don't be alarmed when you see a higher bill than you expected.
