She is a Blessing and a miracle.... She saved my life in the most profound way. I care about Dr. muss with my children and extended family members. She is a gem to have in my life...I would not be here without her help... and she gave me my life back.
Her staff especially the Office Manager, Alicia, it goes without saying they are all tentative to my needs and also to the patients around me. We have discussions in the waiting room with other patients and they all feel the same way. Nothing but praise for this doctor. She is truly a Healer!

My children love her and they will not go to any other doctor. They are 100 percent for Dr. Muss. they will not even consider having another doctor treat them. They love her and would never trade her in for any other doctor.
She is precise with her examinations and I had been to several doctors that could not come up with a diagnosis and she was the only one that could and did.

MY RECOMMENDATION IS FROM THE HEART BECAUSE I STILL HAVE ONE!!!

She is a wonderful doctor, with over 20 years experience in her field. I could not have asked for a better doctor, she can be a little harsh but it is because she really cares about your well being. She is the only doctor I know that will call you at home at check up on you. She will go out of her way to make sure that you are taking your medications. Follow up procedures are done on a timely basis. She has a wonderful staff especially the office manager Alicia she really goes out of her way for patients personal and medical needs. The nurse Sonia is efficient and conscience of the patient's needs.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I visited Dr. Muss's office around 8 months ago for a routine annual physical exam (covered at 100% by my insurance). A month later, I got slammed with a bill for $375, and two more bills from the lab that the office uses to process blood work.

After several phonecalls it was determined that Dr. Muss's office had submitted my office visit incorrectly to the insurance company. For the past 7 months, I have made an average of 2 phonecalls per week (each lasting 15-30 minutes) to Dr. Muss's office, the lab, and my insurance company to try to get this cleared up. It is painful to think about how much time this amounts to. So far, no success.

I honestly cannot believe how incompetent, unhelpful, and just plain rude both Dr Muss and her staff have been through this ordeal. For about a month they insisted they had done nothing wrong and refused to help. FINALLY I was able to speak to Dr. Muss herself who actually understood what her staff had done wrong (it turned out, they hadn't made her aware of the issue despite assuring me that she was taking care of it...) and resolved to help me. But two weeks later when I called back to see whether the issue had been cleared up, Dr. Muss was a different person and hung up on me! (Her secretary hung up on me several times as well, but it was particularly egregious coming from the physicial herself.) I would say that in the ~15-20 times I spoke to the secretary, ~10 of the conversations resulted in her literally screaming at me telling me that I was in the wrong.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever reviewed something before, ever. Dr. Muss's office was that bad.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for my lab bills to be cleared up, going on 9 months from the initial visit. There are so many physicians in NYC; why give yourself this headache?

I have been a patient of Dr. Muss for over 12 years. She is both my GP and Cardiologist.

She is a compassionate and intelligent woman. I not only ask her about my health, but I have gone as far as to ask her for personal advice, and she has always given me the smartest responses.

While she is a kind person, she is also known for giving 'tough love' to her patients, and if one doesn't like that, then one should go somewhere else.

The office is clean and well maintained. Her staff is wonderful and accommodating when scheduling appointments.

The practice's Nurse is warm and knowledgeable, one has just to get her 'dry humor'; she could be the funniest person in the world.

I highly recommend this practice, not only for the high quality of services, but for the human quality and warmth of the whole team, headed by my dear Dr. Muss.

I have been a patient for over 15 years--Dr Muss has been my primary physician all this time. I have nothing but the utmost praise for this woman. And yes, the cartoons in the examining room are a great passtime

After 6 years of entrusting my well being to dr muss I feel better than ever thanks to her professional and compassionate naturer. I moved to the US from UK in August 2004 and I lived in the building directly above Dr. Muss' practice, therefore it made sense that I registered at that practice. I have never felt more comfortable with a doctor in my life as I do with Dr. Muss. Yes she is direct and tells it the way it is, but do you really want your doctor to be any other way? Each and everyone of the staff, receptionist, accounts, and nurse are all wonderful people and as from time to time when you need to visit your doctor, dare I say .....it is a pleasure. Keep up the good work.

PROS: Forthright, honest, very pleasant, very skilled.
CONS: Can't think of too many, apart from the fact I am too big for the gowns.

The office manager is wonderful. The nurse who preps you is no nonsense but good at what she does. Forewarning: the nurse will insist on doing a rectal temperature, there is no arguing with her. After the initial prep you will be placed in an examination room that is covered with cartoons. This is a wonderful ploy, as you will be waiting there for quite a while completely naked except for a flimsy paper gown. Dr. Muss herself is quite a character. She is really experienced but a bit inconsiderate at times. For example, while examining me (again, you are naked except for that flimsy gown and when she is doing the physical exam, you don't even have that) she answers a phone call and spends the next ten minutes talking to her cousin about how she won't let some terrorists destroy her plans to visit Israel during Christmas. Granted it was a wonderful display of courage but for goodness sake, uhm, like, I'm freezing and would like to go home and plan my vacation with my Aunt Tess as well.
