This is more than a mall this is a shopper's PARADISE. You can go to stores like Macy's,Sears, and Old Navy then step right into Coach,Prada and Fendi stores. They have great restaurants and they have plenty of activities for the little ones.

Ratings_icons Great mall

This mall is huge. Tons of shops here ranging from Longs Drugs to Louis Vuitton and Harry Winston. It has 4 levels and also has a large food court and multiple restaurants from dim sum to plate lunches to sushi and steak. You could literally spend hours here and not get to every store..I would know, as I was stuck here for 6+ hours waiting for a ride, but still managed to find things of interest to look at and do.

Ratings_icons Hawaii's Biggest and Best

Ala Moana Shopping Center, located just outside of Waikiki, is a great place to spend a rainy day, and a terrible place to have to go near the Christmas holdidays. Years ago, the center had aspirations to become bigger and better, and the landmark stores changed from Sears and Liberty House to Sears, Macy's and Nieman Marcus. Be sure to check out Shirokiya, which carries much merchandise from Japan. For tropical wear, try Reyn's and Tori Richard as well as Tommy Bahama. Lots of small stores carry good selections of Hawaii-themed gifts.

Ratings_icons World class

Ala Moana is probably most well known shopping center in Hawaii. Besides being centrally located in Honolulu, it is the home of three large anchor tenants (Macy's, Sears, Neiman Marcus) and dozens of stores ranging from grocery (Foodland) to technology (the Apple Store).

During the '90s, Ala Moana underwent a transformation from a local "every-person's" mall to a world class center with the high-end merchants wealthy tourists from Japan and Europe would expect. The mall received quite a bit of criticism over this, but I think it's added a much-needed "premium" feel to the mall. This isn't your ordinary neighborhood mall -- it's a place you want to visit and explore.

Except during the normal holiday crunch, parking is plentiful, especially on the street level.
