Oh Yeah!!! The best ice cream this side of the Pecos!! I love going there and smelling the waffle cones and just soaking up the atmosphere of loads of dairy products being made!!

I loved showing my kids what a factory looks like and all that goes into producing cheese. The ice cream afterwards was a big bonus. Definitely a great side trip with kids.

Others have written about the cheese factory tour, so I will focus on the ice cream.

The Tillamook Cheese Factory tour served as a great motivator for my 7-year old to stop dragging her feet on our vacation. Once she knew the Tillamook Cheese Factory also served ice cream she really wanted to go there. They did not disappoint! They had more than 31 flavors, and the ice cream was GOOD. Waffle cones, sugar cones, waffle bowls, toppings, etc added to the choices.

I wish we would have loaded up on some cheese before we left since it's almost twice as expensive to buy it near home. The extra sharp cheddar is wonderful.

I'm living in California where we get the Tillamook cheese (sharp cheddar being my favorite). But we don't get the ice cream. If you're on vacation in Oregon, you have to stop at the Tillamook visitor's center. You can watch them make cheese while eating their creamy ice cream. It's really worth the stop.

This is a great place, I always come here when I am on vacation. Its a great tourist attraction for this town. They have the best cheese there is. Its so sweet tasting. They also have great beef jerky. You can tour the whole facility and you can see how they make cheese from upstairs looking down on the workers. They also have a section where you can taste some of the cheeses that you make. They have a little gift shop on the left hand side as you come in. Its very crowded though so watch out I would advise you to use a stroller in here unless they have made more space since the last time that I went.Their ice cream is great too, the lines are usually pretty long but they will get you through pretty fast. The staff here is wonderful. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for something fun to do in Tillamook.

They specialize in Cheese and it is a big beautiful place to buy and see cheese made. It is very easy to find and well worth the effort to go in and see all of the exciting things on display.

If you're driving along the Oregon coast, make a stop at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. It's right off HWY 101, so you don't need to make a detour. Stretch your legs, get educated, have a snack, use the bathrooms, and take a picture of your family in front of the boat in the parking lot.

You can take a look at how Tillamook cheese got started, tour their museum part, and take in a snack while you're at it. There's a little store where they sell Tillamook products, from cheese curds to yogurt, and you can try free samples of the cheese. They also have an ice cream location inside, with the most delectible flavors.

The bathrooms are clean and large, and the general staff is friendly. The gift store has everything from stuffed toys to key chains.
