Zilker Park is a great place in Austin for adults and kids to enjoy. The park is free, and the train is $2.75 for adults, $1.75 for kids 2 and older. 2 and under are free. The train takes you around the park on about a 20 minute ride, by Barton Springs, and then around the Hike and Bike trail by Town Lake. If you go during November/early December, you will be able to see the Trail of Lights being set up.
