Mills High School

This high school is one of, if not the top public high schools in the San Mateo County High School District. The school just underwent a re-construction and it looks perfect. The teachers truly care about what products of society they are molding prior to the real world. There are several of the best extra curricular classes and top quality athletic teams.

Even competing against other private high schools, just from my graduating class, 40 got into berkeley, 30 in UCLA, 1 in Harvard, a couple in MIT, etc,etc and the student body is getting better.

There are great opportunities for students, an excellent career room, library, an active PTO (parents teachers organization) and most importantly AP classes galore for students to take and later get credit for in college. I do have to say that there are a lot more quantitative subjects offered than humanities based ones though...

If anything, go to Mills for the teachers! Sports-wise, it's so-so. Ask about Mr. David Jackson, Mr. Wayne Phillips, Mrs. Margaret Peel, Mr. Paul, Mr. Pretto, Mr. Keller, and Mrs. Harper. They got me into the Ivy league.

MY BROTHER & COUSIN GO TO THIS SCHOOL AND ALL I HAVE HEARD IS GREAT THINGS. I HEARD THAT THE SCHOOL HAS EXCELLENT TEACHING STAFF AND THE STUDENT ARE FRIENDLY(FOR BEING IN HIGH SCHOOL). THIS SCHOOL IS ONE OF THE BEST IN SAN MATEO COUNTY

This is a very good high school. There are lots of activities to do, from art, music to sports. When the remodeling of the school will be done, it will be even better. Teachers are nice and all the extra-activities that they have make it one of the best high school in the area.
