This was my first time to Barlup's as I was referred to them by a family member. The staff was kind and very helpful, they had a great selection of used appliances and got me a great deal on my G.E. front loading washer and a LG Front Load Dryer with the next day delivery! (they delivery on Tuesdays & Thursdays and I just happened to get there on a Monday.) The delivery guys called me that morning around 9:30 (like they said they would between 9-10,) and showed up in the time window they stated & they even gave me a courtesy call when they were on there way :). They hooked up my washer and dryer with no extra or hidden fee's (like I saw in another review,) other than the dryer vent hose "$1 a foot" (which the sales man told me there would be one if I didn't have a hose or had a old/damaged one.) Overall great service, no complaints.. I would definitely go here again and recommend it to anyone looking for used appliances.

I didn't read any reviews before going to them.. but seeing all the reviews on here (that may I ad are mostly all many years old..!) I would say this place is nothing like that (anymore,) and the other customer who was in the store ahead of me left in the same manner as i did... Happy with a new "used" appliance and glad to have found this place!

It seems all these reviews are just confused disgruntled people who are out for revenge for a misunderstanding through a phone conversation. I've been going to Barlup's since the early 90s for honest quality repairs to my appliances. They are the best repairmen around for sure, not some guy from Best Buy just hired a year ago. I've bought three appliances from them, two used and one new. They only have used appliances now, but mine are still kicking, even my hotpoint from 1993! For repair work it's the best around. For used appliances they have some gems. Quality appliances marked way down that are not the cheap ones you get from a department store.

I went in to buy a used washer & dryer from Barlups. They gave me a discount for buying them together! I needed new chords and hoses and they gave them to me for no extra charge. When they came in they lugged out my old washer and dryer, which were extremely heavy. I still had water in my washer and they still got it out. Then they fixed my hose attachment on my house which was broke. They put everything together hassle free for me, even with all the obstacles I had for them! Best expert appliance service Iv ever experienced! Definitely would recommend!

I can only say this is the very last time I purchase anything from Barlups. I bought a dryer from them and the first time I used it it would not get hot. When I called they wanted to charge me for a service call. Now granted I did not contact them within the 90 day warrenty but because of flooding I was not able to plug it in and use it within that time frame. So technically it was on the first use and had I been able to use it immediately ..... In any case the customer service it soooooo sub par I'll be sure to NEVER get anything from them again. The prices are not so hot either considering the older applicance cost nearly as much as buying a new one.

Cant comment on the quality of the appliance i just bought and recieved but will say barlups need to work on customer service. I called the store to get price and location. When I called the store back a half hour later to get more detailed directions the man who answered the phone sounded annoyed and dismissive with me. I was told 9 am by them for the time of delivery more then once and i even wrote it down on my recite at the store. I made sure i was home for the delivery but of course by 10 oclock i called the store to see if they where on their way. Once again the tone of voice and dismissivness was rude. The guy told me i miss heard the guy wrong cuz the store doesnt open till 9 and that they where just now on there way. The delivery guy was quick to remove the old and put in the new old within 15 min. 5 min after he left i get a knock on the door and its the delivery guy saying he forgot to get $10 from me for the removal of the old dryer. He had no bill for me or recite.. The store never told me of the charge and now i dont know if that was what it was for or if he wanted to scam a tip off of me.. More then likely whether or not this appliance works i will take my money and recomendation else where.

They do not return phone calls promptly and when asking them why parts that were supposed to be in in 3 days takes 3 weeks, you get a snotty reply and an attitude that clearly speaks "you already gave us your money, you will just have to wait."

I bought a washer from their "new" stock. The salesman assured me it was never used, it just could not be sold in a store because of minor damage to the exterior at the top. When I purchased the washer, the invoice they gave me said "Rebuilt Washer". I told him I was purchasing a new washer, not a rebuilt one, and he said it didn't matter what the invoice said, as long as the price was correct. I didn't even have it a month, and all of the water in the basin leaked out from the front of the washer onto my floor. I went to their store to return the washer and get my money back, and was told that they do not accept returns for rebuilt washers, but they can send someone over to repair it. Even though I bought a new washer, my invoice "proves" that I bought a rebuilt washer instead of a new one, so they will not allow me to return it. So I'm stuck with a leaking washer while they laugh all the way to the bank with the money I paid for it.

My wife and I mistakenly bought a rebuilt whirlpool range from Barlups. Right before we agreed to buy it, Barlup or staff said there ranges are all well repaired. Well we got it home and the oven didn't work right off the bat. So after the long holiday weekend they were closed the entire time we could not get service till Tuesday. Instead of fixing the range we picked out they gave us a beat up Amana. Cracks, inefficient timer, globbed on paint to cover up who knows what. Very unsatisfied. Tried to talk to Barlups to have them replace with another whirlpool. Apparently very unconcerned with customer satisfaction. Most frustrating. We could have bought a brand new whirlpool at Best buy for 350. We s pent 330 for a range over 10 years old.

I purchased a used dryer 15 years ago from Barlups and just this week replaced it. When they get appliances in, they take care to go over them and make sure they are in good shape before they resell them. I have been very pleased with my purchases from Barlups. I had purchased a refrigerator after the dryer, and would still have it if a tornado hadn't crushed it.
I am so pleased with them that just this week I got a refrigerator and a dryer from them. If they last me 15 years, I will be thrilled, as I did not have to pay an arm and a leg for them.

Barlups Appliance Sales and Service is a nice family owned shop that sells a nice variety of appliances. They have KitchenAids, Roper, and Whirlpool, among others. They even carry rebuilt models at reasonable prices. They are excellent at repairs, and their rebuilt items are just as good as new, but will cost you lots less. They always have a nice selection of air conditioners, ranging from really reasonable small models to heavy duty, high-powered models.
