Heaven Spa

I have been to Heaven Spa a couple of times now and Valedear gives one of the best massages ever! I plan to go back regularly to see him.The facial with Tanya is awesome and the entire place is really great. All of us enjoy everything we have done here.
Like I said--I will still go for the massages and hopefully try a facial soon!

We had the time of our lives yesterday and I couldn't wait to wrtie a review of our expierences there!
Five of us spent the afternoon relaxing with facials,massages,wine,food and just the serenity of this place.
The staff was awesome as were all the services. I am somewhat reluctant to name the great therapists -as they were all marvelous!
But, I can't end without a special thanks to the front desk staff for all their help (Thanks Becky and Dasha),and kudos to Tatiana,Valedear and Adrienne-you guys made us realize that there really is a Heaven!

What a surprise. Mom took us to Heaven Spa and we spent the day there last Sunday!
I don't have even enough accolades to tell these guys how great my experience was. I am hooked-like a fish.
The massage with Melissa was incredible,the facial, manicures -well everything was just great!

We (me and my sisters) all went to Heaven Spa on Sunday for our annual girls getaway!
What a memorable day we had. These guys are the bset. The moment we enetered we were greeted
with friendliness and then the services were as good as it gets!!
We have done this annually for 3 years and this is our third trip to Heaven Spa-it certainly won't be our last!
The place is really very lovely and the food was great.
We intened to make this our annual getaway forever!
Hats off to Valedear and also to the great staff,especially Tatiana and Becky!!

This is suppose to be a spa and I THOUGHT a spa was suppose to be about relaxation. Well I went here once for service (it was OKAY but I would not recommend..I just went b/c it was the closest to my home). So I called to make an appt. and the woman was SO RUDE I ended up telling her nevermind and hung up. Her attitude was AWFUL!...I will drive the further distance for better service. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Being a client,together with my entire family and most of our friends, of Heaven Spa for the past several years I am appalled at the phony reviews (see the previous review about waxing and a 2 year old).
Don't these people have anything better to do than to try and hurt the BEST DAY SPA IN PHILADELPHIA!!!
What is hard to find about the Spa? It is on the garden level of the largest building in the area and on York Road-route 611-the main thoroughfare of Philadelphia! If "you" had trouble finding the Spa then I suggest you get some serious education!
And why would anyone think that it was ok to bring a 2 year old into a Spa where all the clients were her to relax and to have QUIET!!
Get a life, and if anyone doubts the professionalism of Heaven Spa go there and I guarantee you the best Spa experience ever!!

First of all I could not even find the place!!! Once I finally figured out where it was I walked in and was not expecting what I saw. It was so small and I guess they figure that if they put enough fountains in the room the place automatically turns into a spa. I had my 2 year old daughter with me because I was just going in for a wax. Everybody gave me these weird looks and then this one guy asked me what I was going to do with her. She's only 2! She's going to sit in a chair, eat her snacks, and wait until I'm done!... Anyway, the lady who did my wax was very nice and she even offered my daughter something to eat. The wax itself hurt like Hell and I vowed to never do it again. I told my best friend and she recommended another spa that uses "numbing cream" so I'm going to try them next time.

Super,Super,Super!!
I have had many spa treatments throughout the country and overseas,and can honestly say that this was as good as any treatments I have had anywhere!!
The facial with Anne was just gtreat,the massage with Pavel and Tina also incredible-my back has never felt so good.
Also great front desk staff!
You guys have us addicted!

This was a day "made in Heaven".
I had my bachelorette party at Heaven Spa this past Saturday and what a splendid event it turned out to be. I was so stressed and hoping that all went well (I helped to plan this), but to my great surprise everything was FANTASTIC!!
The front desk staff did a great job of scheduling all of our services and the place was just lovely. The lounge was perfect for our brunch and wine and the services were all-well UNREAL!!
A special thank you to Chris and Becky for helping me make this such a superb day!!
This is an amazing place!!!!

This is a fabulous Day Spa. I am really surprised with the recent slew of negative reviews (obviously phony ones). It really is so terrible for people to write these phony reviews when this Spa does such a world class job of pampering in every way! Shame on you!!
I have been coming to Heaven Spa, with my family and all of our friends, for over 4 years and NEVER have we had anything but the very best services and experiences. The staff is phenomenal as are all of their services.
If you go there and have any complaints (I doubt it) the staff is always prepared to accomodate anything you wish.
I have never had better facials than with Tatiana and the massages with Valedear and Tina and Elana are world class.

having a massage is a special treat for me, so I was excited to use a gift card to heaven spa. they had me down for the wrong type of massage(Swedish instead of Aromatherapy), which I thought I clarified upon check in but still received the wrong treatment. I even paid for the Aromatherapy, which cost more money. The masseuse was ok, nothing spectacular but not bad. Next, I got a mini-facial which was a complete waste at an over-priced $50 - it was basically a glorified face scrub. The "massage" portion of it entailed the esthetician's fingers dancing on my face.

The atmosphere was ok - I agree the "lounge" is awkward. The rooms are small, I imagine its hard for the masseuse to maneuver. You can hear what is going on in the hallway and in the salon next door.

There are far better places in the area for services.

I went to Heaven Spa for underarm waxing, this was my first time. I have to say I was afraid of the pain...however it wasn't too painful. The customer service was great. Everyone was nice and greeted me with smiles. The waiting area was very soothing, with dim lights, drinks and soothing music. Nice atmosphere. Also the price was the cheapest I found in philadelphia. I recommend this spa for waxing

This was ,as always, a unique and first class experience. We have been going to Heaven Spa now for over 3 years,and each and every time we go the services are first class as is the decor and the staff. Reading some of the recent negative reviews only seems to bolster the belief that other spa managers/owners are trying to trash Heaven Spa because there own businesses are so substandard. Believe me if you go here you will never find rudeness (as one purported cleint wrote) or anything but the very finest day spa we have ever been to.

Heaven spa used to be a nice place, I was a monthly regular there until recently. In my opinion, the staff is great but the facility and management needs an overhaul.

I had a facial with Tanya and a massage with Valedear, both were very nice. No problem here. But when I was getting my massage I could hear people taking loudly outside the door. The manager was yelling at someone on the phone. It was the first time I had ever wanted to just get up and leave. It ruined my entire experience.

Also the facility has not been as well maintained as it used to be, the facility is dirty and the bathrooms were as bad a turnpike rest stop. I wanted to say something to the people at the front desk or the manager, but after hearing him yell on the phone during my massage, I did not feel comfortable approaching him.

I also had a friend who had told me that they did not honor a gift card for her mother because it was just a couple of days past the expiration date. They wanted her to buy extra services equal to the original value of the gift card before they would honor it.

I would not spend my money here again. I bought a certificate and the receponists were rude to me when I was trying to schedule a last minute appoitment. I understand that around Mother's day is probably a big day for them, but the rudness and inablity to work with a paying customer is crazy. When I asked to talk to the manager he got very hostile with me. Then I asked to speak to someone above him like a manager he HUNG UP on me!! I really don't even want to go this place, too bad I have to use my gift certificate. Maybe I will try to sell it on craigslist. I figure with a bad economy, a place like this would be thriving for any kind of bussiness. Too bad they lost out of my sale.

Servicing six women isn't an easy job! Heaven Spa made this job look like a piece of cake.
We all had the most incredible day of services,music,food and just great Karma!
The therapists were all first rate and the Spa itself is really warm and soothing.
The only complaint any of us had-is that it had to end!
We will all be back soon.

This was such a special treat!
My husband surprised me with a day at the spa and what a day I had.
The facial,massage,manicure,body treatment,and the brunch were all beyond anything I have experienced at any Day Spa!
I am now an addicted client and will be back each and every month.

My boyfriend bought me a 'day in heaven' gift certificate for Christmas. Things are a bit hectic, so I unfortunately lost the gift certificate he gave me (I know....bad girlfriend). Anyway, we made a call, located the credit card statement as proof of payment and went to Heaven's Spa to make an appointment. As we approached the spa, we saw a man storm out of the door yelling into his cell phone, hang up, then walk back into the spa. We laughed and commented that he indeed needed a day in heaven. How surprised were we to see him behind the desk! When we approached the desk, my boyfriend introduced himself by saying that we had called and spoken to a gentleman named Alex, the reason for the call and then produced the credit card statement. The man took the credit card statement, walked out from behind the desk, put the statement in a file and told us to call back in a couple of days. All that and hardly made eye contact with us. A few days later when we called, we found out that the man we interacted with was ALEX and is out for a few days (hopefully mental health days!!!).
Will I go get my 'day in heaven' there? Sure - but only after confirmation that Alex will not be the person putting his hands on me. I'm sure they have skilled massage therapists who excel at their profession. If only their customer service employees excelled at theirs!

Actually I met several "angels" at Heaven Spa. What a great getaway this was from all the tension and stress that I have in my life right now.
My boyfriend surprised me with this magnificant day at Heaven Spa.
The facial with Tanya was-well incredible.
The massage with Valedear simply awesome and the brunch was ggreat.
The place is lovely and the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home.

Incredible!
I couldn't have asked for a better surprise than the day at Heaven Spa. My fiance (David if you must know) surprised me and what a day we had. The place is sensational,the services (especially the couples massage) were awesome and the lunch we had mae the perfect day more perfect.
The facial I had with Tatiana was absolutely in a class by itself-she has magic hands!
Threre really is a Heaven!

So much can be said about a great business! This Spa really awed us and put us in such a tranquil mood. The facials,massages,manicures and the food were all first rate. The staff could not have been more helpful and firendly.
This is a business that I feel comfortable in recommending to anyone who wants to go to the very very best.
Having been to many other local spas I can speak with authority about them!

This was a great day for all of us. The Spa is deleicious as are the the services and the entire staff.
I have never had a better facial or massage. My 3 girlfriends are all in agreement that this is the
finest example of a Day Spa any of us has veer been to!

This was really Heaven. Mom took me and my 2 sisters for a girls day in Heaven and boy what a day it was.
I had to fly from Boston to be with everyone and our mother planned the most perfect weekend.
We spent the day at Heaven Spa and loved every minute of it. The place is beautiful, the facials with Tanya and Anne were amazing as were the massages we all had with Elena and Valedear and Amy!
To finish off we all had manis and pedis that were relaxing (especially with the wine).
Dinner in town topped off a sensational experience. Thank you Mom and thanks to everyone at Heaven Spa-you guys really are the best!!

Just what we needed.
I booked the Spa for me and 4 of our friends and we enjoyed everything about the Spa.
The moment we arrived the front desk was friendly and helped us get acclamated!
The massages and facials were all first class as were the pedicures and of course the fine brunch.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and cannot hesitate to reccommend Heaven Spa to everyone. We will be returning often as we just moved to Philly and found what we consider to be a most enjoyable Day Spa.

I love spas and have been to many five star in the US and abroad. I tried this "Heaven Spa" maybe three months ago looking for a good place close to home. I will not return. I almost never write reviews (good or bad) but I noticed someone from the Spa is saying the bad reviews are bogus which annoyed me because the bad reviews sound a lot like the experience I had. The man at the front desk was very rude (to the point that I told him so) and I waited in a small dark room while a party was having a lunch and talking loudly. The manicure was fine, nothing to go on about. They are not very expensive so maybe a good choice for those with different expectations. But if you are looking for something top notch don't be fooled by the reviews or what they write about themselves, this is nothing more than a strip mall "spa". Also, it says on this site they take Visa, they did not with me; I had to go to the ATM. This is not a bogus review. I still haven?t found a local spa I like. Absolute best spas in my opinion? The PGA National Spa in Palm Beach and the Tabacon Spa in Costa Rica! (...and I am 100% sure neither of those places need me to write "fake" reviews boost their reps, lol!) This place should spend less time refuting every bad review saying they are fake (which kind of cracks me up) and use the feedback to improve their services. More than happy to be verified by Citysearch.

The Spa is beautiful the staff was so helpful and we all cannot stop talking about the super services (especially Tina,Anne and Valedear)!
For my part the ambiance and the total serenity was just what I needed before the wedding. I went out or dinner after the services with all of my bridemaids and we spent the entire time raving about the Spa.

Scheduled the ultimate massage. It was never told to me that I needed to bring a bathing suit. I explained I wanted the bath first and then the massage to loosen my muscles. I get to the spa (which has not changed one bit since the spa biba days -- down to the pictures on the walls!) First they take you to the dressing room and tell you after you get dressed go to the relaxation room?which is hard to find. Once you find it, you are sitting in a room on a sofa waiting for your treatment in the middle of some party?s lunch. (Not even a separate room so you can actually relax in a spa?novel concept!) Summary -- Masseuse talked to me the whole time. Front desk staff was rude and condescending. If I wasn't there with a group for a special occasion, I would have walked out and not continued my services! It was the worst services with the rudest staff. I will never return to this spa. It is such a shame as 10 years ago, as spa biba, I would have given them a 5 star recommendation?Too bad they are stuck in the 90?s!

After reading the previous reviewers comments I cannot help but wonder what Spa she went to!
Certainly hot Heaven Spa.
It seems obvious that this review was written,not by a disgruntled customer,but rather a competitor (not that there are any) who has nothing better to do-certainly no clients.
My family and I have been clients of Heaven Spa for three years and without any question this is the finest Day Spa we have ever experienced-and we have been to them all!
The Spa is lovely,the therapists are all first class, and contrary to this other persons comments even the pedicures are wonderful.
It's really too bad that Citysearch does not confirm the identity of reviewers (both positive and negative) as do other first class websites such as Spa Finder and others.

I just logged on and read some of the recent reviews and ,of course the last reviewers comments. Something quite strange is going on here! I too have been a regular client of the Spa for many many years and I have never experienced any of the negativity such as the few negative reviews that have posted.
It is clear to me also that other Day Spas have resorted to writing these terrible reviews and it is really very sad that they cnnot get their acts together and try to supply adequate services instead of writing these false reviews.
I have (as had all of our friends and family) had virtually every service offered at Heaven and let me tell you-IT TRULY IS HEAVEN. They have been reviewed by virtually every REPUTABLE publication (Philly Style, Philly Mag, Allure,Spa Finder,etc.) and why is it that none of them had anything but glowing comments. See for yourself that this is indeed the best Day Spa.

Heard this was a great place...so set up appts for my Mom and sister who traveled in from out of state. I was very disappointed. The only thing this place is concerned about is making money...not a great customer experience. The massage and facial were ok...the pedicure...HORRIBLE. The area was old and dirty. In the lounge, is also where you eat your lunch. So while folks are trying to rest...the smell of food lingers and you felt like you could not talk as to not to disrupt someone else peace and rest. VERY OLD and SMALL place.....No tworth the money .... Stay away

What a treat!
My bridesmaids created the perfect Bachelorette party for all of us and it was so great!
I have been to Spas before and this was just the best experience for me and for all of us!
The services that we all had were perfect,the meals were excellent and the entire experience left me so pleased!

An amazing experience for all of us. From the moment we stepped into Heaven Spa we were treated like royalty! The variety of spa services are so good and the therapists are all so very professional. I have been to many other local spas as well as spas in other cities, and Heaven Spa is certainly at the top of my list!

What a memorable party we had yesterday at Heaven Spa. The staff was thoughful and so nice. The services were all great (especially the facials andm massages). The food was gourmet and their Spa is just lovely. We were guided through everything from the time we arrived and cannot thank everyone enough for such a wonderful day!

i booked a couples massage for me and my boyfriend along with two facials....and after weeks of persuading him to go he finally agreed to go. the robes and cute slippers were nice however we sat in this lounge that was really small,, along with people who weren't even getting spa services they were loud my boyfriend was really uncomfortable. The facial was amazing, however the couples spa was done in two seperate rooms with a connecting door, the rooms were like closets and we couldnt even see each other. my massage was horrible, never have i had a massage where i was patted, yes patted from head to toe at the end of the massage as if she was just trying to waste time until it was over.....On the bright side my boyfriend said that his was awesome his massage therapist was a nice black woman didnt catch her name.....at least he was happy.

I am from the West Coast and was in Philly for a business trip and needed a facial. Based on the reviews here, I headed to Heaven Spa and had one of the best facials ever. Susan worked on my face; she was very knowledgeable and very skilled. She went to town on the extractions and it was virtually painless. My skin felt clean, soft, and rejuvenated by the time she was done with me (and it looked great!). This facial rivals some of the best I've had in LA.

That said, the spa itself is nothing amazing. Yes, the decor is kind of cheesy and it is in the basement of an office building. But it was still a very relaxing experience for me. I would head there again in a heartbeat and recommend it to any ladies traveling through the Philly area.

My friend treated me to a day at the spa as a bridal gift. She did her research and from all of the good reviews, she chose this spa. It was an OKAY spa. I've been to a couple of spas and I've never had to pay before hand, which was a turn off. Another turn off was the paper thin robe that was given to us. I think for as much $$ they charge, they can at least upgrade to terry cloth robes. The staff was very friendly and the services were good. We had lunch in the lounge area which I was another turn off. I thought they could have at least brought us to another room. My friend was waiting for her facial for 30 mins before anyone had told her that her facial lady took the wrong person. She wasn't too mad until she had to sit and wait in the lounge area a second time! No one told her what was going on until she walked up front to find out herself. The receptionist seem annoyed that she had asked her. There was no apology for the mix up at all! They did give her a coupon for her next visit. Would I go back?....No.

Speaking of elegance and professionalism-Heaven Spa sets a new standard in every category. We had our bachelorette party yesterday and I cannot thank everyone at Heaven Spa for making this the best day of the year for all of us. The place is fab,the staff incredible and the entire experience was awesome. If there is a better Spa anywhere then please tell me so I can visit it. I am in awe of this great Spa.

I had my first appointment (of many!) today at Heaven Spa. I am new to the area and not only did I get stuck in terrible traffic, I got lost. I was 30 min late for my appointment. I was warmly greeted and no one made me feel bad for being so late. I was treated to a wonderful relaxing facial by Janice and even though I was late, I was not rushed and my time was not cut short. They definitley have a customer for life now!
