I normally don't waste my time writing reviews, but I feel that I HAVE to give feedback on this salon. I am so happy I found out about this place! My boyfriend and I are going to Vegas in 5 days and decided we should get a tan before we go. We googled tanning and Le Beach came up.

I was skeptical about going because it looks so beautiful from the pictures and I was afraid it would be way too expensive! To my surprise, it is so affordable! We got a great deal through their offer of $29 unlimited tanning and buy one get one free mystic for $35. And not only that, we couldn't print the coupons at home so the girl at the front desk was so sweet to tell us she'll take care of it for us!

The salon is so clean, and from the minute you step foot in the door, you feel like a VIP with their undivided attention and helpful advise! In a time where customer service is almost non-existent, it is such a breath of fresh air to deal with the staff they have at Le Beach! They are truly an asset to the Salon!

I had been a "member" of Le Beach Club (Beverly Blvd) for years, just paying a monthly fee until they said they weren't offering it anymore and that I had to buy a package deal or single tans. That's where they pulled the scam.

You buy packages with a certain amount of tans, but what they don't tell you is that they expire. The manager said that you buy a membership, and memberships expire after a year. The package I bought said 20 tans, with no indication of expiration, since there was a specific number.....long story short, I moved away for 6 months, didn't use the tans and they "expired". The manager said that he would give me back the tans I had ALREADY PURCHASED if I would buy more. Let me see, buy more when I had already have 10 tans left? On top of it, he could not provide any signature or proof that I agreed (signed) any contract stating they expire. I called a couple times and he wouldnt get back to me. I LOST OUT ON HALF OF MY "PACKAGE DEAL" or about $125.

THERE ARE A LOT OF OPTIONS OUT THERE, I WOULD SUGGEST GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY ARE MORE PROFESSIONAL AND HONOR WHAT YOU PURCHASED.

Before Le Beach, I went to this other place that wasnt so good. The knowledgable staff specifically create tanning packages that work with your skin type. Now I'm tan and beautiful...glistening like the sun!

I've recently moved and was so bummed that there wasn't a Le Beach Club near my new house. I was especially bummed because the people at LBC on Robertson were always so nice to me. Within 3 visits they knew my name and seemed to remember everything I ever chatted with them about. They do sell, that's for sure, and being in sales myself, the last thing I wanted was to be pitched. But I told the manager there, in a nice way, and ever since then, no one has tried to hard sell me a thing. I almost started missing it! Regardless of a person's financial situation, if people are nice enough to you and make you feel important, you will buy into it. I think the manager and his people have caught on to this and I thought it was important to say so.
Oh and PS! The Mystic there is AMAZING! Very natural and not smelly!

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE!

I was a long-time customer of theirs and put up with the overpriced packages, as this place is really close to my home.

However, they tried to pull the same scam on me that has been mentioned in other reviews: claiming my sessions had "expired," even though when I purchased the sessions I specifically asked if they ever expire and was told no. The manager tried to claim "We never issue packages that don't expire after a year. It says so on the receipt you were issued at the time of purchase." Unfortunately for her, I had my accountant pull the receipt and brought it in to prove her to be LYING. Even with physical proof, she would only "recredit" me for these sessions if I bought another package. I was stuck so I had to play along, but find such deceitful business practices to be border-line-fraud.

Also, as mentioned in other reviews, they are CONSTANTLY selling new packages to you, no matter how many sessions you still have remaining; in a way that reminds me of the worst kind of telemarketer.

walked in the other day after not tanning for a couple years. my sessions had expired, but they included those back on another package along with a few sessions on the big expensive bed and a product to make up for it. really friendly, helpful staff. super open inside, beds really clean, really beautiful inside. im paying maybe a couple dollars more per session, but at least im not wiping down my own bed. remember the manager from last time i was in there, really sweet blonde. love the guy who helped me out, too. a really great no-nonsense tanning place.

In a sea of hundreds of tanning salons, this is the best in LA. Front desk staff is extremely friendly, especially the manager, and helpful- you always walk out looking like you just spent a weekend in St. Barts!!! I never feel like I am being "pushed" into buying a package, and the deals seem very reasonable! Would highly recommend this salon if you're looking for a natural, gorgeous tan, and friendly service.

I used to live in Manhattan Beach and drive all the way to the Robertson location just because I thought the staff was very friendly at LeBeach Club and I did not think they were pushy at all! Obviously not everyone has a great experience and sometimes people don't get what they want, but I would recommend this salon over all of the others in the Los Angeles market. They have all the latest & greatest equipment and tanning products that you will ever need. The manager, Tiffany, at this location is one of the funniest and friendliest people I've ever come across in the retail market. You should definitely try LeBeach Club before any of the others in town.

Great beds & the girls at the front desk are awesome. You definitely get what you pay for & this place you get a good, not fake looking tan. The blond (Tiffany?) hooked me up. I recommend the "cocktail"(half tanning bed & then a spray on!)

I've been tanning at Le Beach club for about ten years now. They have definitely come a long way, let me tell you. With all the new, cheaper salons opening in the area, they have kept up with new tanning technology, new services/products, and made sure the salon stays high class. Although they're prices have gone up since I started, the girls there do their best to get their loyal customers the best deal they can get. I have friends that tan elsewhere (Sunset, Starlight) and Le Beach has by far the most experienced staff and the best beds. The girls really dont get pushy with me about buying more or new packages because they know me, but I do no they were on commission and that they can get pushy. I talked to a gal when I was in the other day and she said they're not on commission anymore... maybe that will help not scare away customers that feel pressured. If you are a tanner and you want the best go to Le Beach. It is a little pricey, but they have some cheaper beds and an unlimited bed. The girls are super friendly and they keep your product there for you! I wouldn't consider going anywhere else!

The best part about this place is that they have the brightest, happiest people working behind the desk. They know a lot about tanning and all of their products which is great! Services are affordable and really quick!

Every single time I go to tan I am constantly pressured into buying more packages and spending more money. The cost alone for the beds is alot and their prices consistently going up its ridiculous. I am never coming back here again..... I am sick of being hounded down after a nice tan to BUY BUY BUY! I am going to another salon that has better service. Another bad thing is the parking, its near impossible.... The only upside the beds are clean. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Center, West LA, & Beverly Hills) and have never ever had a problem with pushy sales staff....I can't imagine that the complaints can be for the same tanning salons i've been going to! NEVER had an issue with Le Beach....their beds are so clean, the locations are NICE and beautiful to walk in to, and my tans are awesome!! Who are these people postings rants about bad service??? The people that work at the locations are the best!! I just don't get it.....

I used to tan @ Monte Carlo Sun in West Hollywood before moving to BH. They had the same deal there too. After a year you would have to buy more tans. Never tanned anywhere else but I didn't have a problem with that. Beach Club does the same. One great thing is that if your membership expires they give you credit on new memberships. MCS never did that.

Most importantly I've had the best experience there. The people are super friendly and knowledgeable about tanning. The place has always been IMMACULATE.

Reading some of these rants below makes me feel like we're talking about two different places or their competition is posting on these boards.

Try the place out. You'll be happy you did!

ok you guys...its easy as this, if you dont want to spend the extra money for the Cleanliness go to suntans to go and get a staft infection. Stop being so cheap and complaining about it. im a student and spent the money because i dont wanna risk going to a place that has 12 year olds cleaning beds that we lay on and sweat on. So go somewhere else and take your chances. I didnt feel any pressure when i went in. The girl actually told me a better deal for me because she knew i was a student. Maybe you guys shouldnt go to their brentwood location and actually if you live in brentwood you shouldnt mind spending the extra money for a better facility...right?

Please don't tan here! I purchased a package of 20 tanning sessions for $280.00 in December of 2005 which was a good deal and the girl who helped me told me that the sessions wouldn't expire. Since I don't tan much, I hadn't used 7 of my sessions when I went back there last week to tan. The person at the front desk said that I had no sessions left and that they expired in December of 2006. I told him that the person who signed me up said that they didn't expire (mind you, I don't have my receipt anymore), nevertheless how does something that you pay for expire? Especially a service that only takes 8 minutes - what do they have to lose by giving me my 7 sessions that I paid good money for? I spoke to the manager the next day who tried to make me feel better by saying that she would give me $100 off of a package of 10 sessions which would come to $282.00!!!!!!!!!!!! What!!!!!!!!!! The original price is $383.00 for 10 sessions and that is supposed to be a Mothers Day Special...Wait, it gets better...Then I thought I would call another Le Beach Tanning Salon and talked to a girl at the one on Overland - she was a little better - she said that she would give me my 7 tanning sessions and a $100 off of a package of 10 for the $283.00. PEOPLE, I DON'T WANT TO SPEND MORE MONEY! I JUST WANT MY 7 TANNING SESSIONS THAT I PAID $175.00 FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Today I called the salon on Montana and asked for the corporate office number - of course, they don't have that information...
Stay tuned for Part II (if corporate calls me back)...

Moral of the Story: DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY - THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AT SOME POINT...

i dont understand the bad reviews. i really like this place. the girls are all really friendly when i come in (never seem to be any guys though, haha) they really seem to know what they're talking about. i get really good color from the beds, they even let me try out the different types to see which one worked best for me. i dont feel pressured to buy anything and im a salesperson myself (so i can spot a desperate pitch a mile away).
i appreciate the cleanliness, the locations make it easy for me to tan anywhere in LA, they always know my name when i walk in the door, and im really happy with the results.
for me, those things are more important then the possibility of getting hassled to buy stuff.
i think some people just cant be pleased or if you walk in with a bad attitude, your probably not going to get much love in return. you catch more flies with honey, right!
bottom line, they won me over, and until i leave LA, in tanning here!

This is by far the best tanning salon in LA. I usually use their high pressure bed (Magic) and then do a mystic for the best results. I've also tried their airbrush and the girls are just plain fabulous!!! The place is immaculate and sanitation is always a priority (I wouldn't tan any where else, especially if the sales girls are cleaning the beds, yuck). If you want the best in results, go to the Beach Club on Robertson. The girls know what their talking about and can set up on a package that's catered to you and not just the most expensive like other salons (Sunset Tan, lol).

I recently moved from Scottsdale, AZ - where of course there is a salon on EVERY corner- I actually tanned at a salon that was based in Scotts. and also here in Bev Hills... sadly the beds couldn't compare to the salon back home so I ended up trying out Le Beach Club and LOVED it!!! I had two differnt accounts going as I wasn't able to just cancel my purchused tans at the other salon. The girl that helped me out was so sweet and helpful, knowledgable, too. Though it was a bit more than the salon I first went to I got color and the beds were only 12 min vs. 20. ALSO they have an amazing mystic tan, that offers a different soulution that doesn't smell as much and doesn't stain- it's w/o the bronzer, I was able to try out the Air Brush. I feel like a spokesman but I have to say I really am glad I made the switch.

Pros: CLEAN!!!! friendly, variety

Cons: about $20 more BUT you get what you pay for

.

Stay Away this place is pure Hell, they almost trap you and hold you hostage if you don't buy a package or extras. I have never seen anything like it. They tell you one price then charge another

Pros: None

Cons: Liars, Cheats, Thieves

This place should have gotten the "Worst Tanning Salon". Definitely my worst experience. The prices are way too high and the customer service is unfriendly. I usually tan easily at other places but this place I had no results after going the recommended three times. I bought an over priced tanning package that they sell you on from the start. I know why they sell you on the package deals from the minute you set foot into their store. They can get your money up front and once they have your money they really don't care about the customer or the that you never tan from their beds. Do yourself a favor and don't tan here.

This has been the worst tanning experience ever! Over priced tanning with bad service. They love to sell these packages and once you use their tanning you realize that they use the cheapest products. I did not get tan and after going three times I wanted customer satisfaction and asked for a refund for the remaining tanning sessions. Not only did they refuse but I had to call three times and each time there was never a manager there to resolve my dispute. Never even returned my call. Don't make the same mistake I did! Do not tan here!

I was sold a package on special for 20 visits for $250.00. They sold me suntan lotion and lip gloss. It was my mistake for not looking at the cc receipt before I signed, but the salesperson told me she would only charge 1/2 to my credit card, and would charge the other half the following month. When I received my bill, the entire amount was charged, and it found that they charged me $100.00 for the lotion. When I questioned them I was told they would change out the lotion for a less expensive one and credit my account. They never did. I have since seen specials for an entire month at $39.99. I went for 6 visits and didn't get tan. I normally tan very easily, but they must be using lower wattage bulbs. It doesnt work. I called to complain and no one has called me back.
