In Short
Carpets and thick fabrics blanket the interior of the restaurant in hues and designs reminiscent of a sultry den from the 1970s. Waiters dressed in Moroccan garb sidestep the crowd-pleasing belly dancers to deliver two- to five-course dinners to shoeless groups relaxing on low couches or pillows. Amid the hubbub, service gaffes--such as entree mix-ups and vanishing waitstaff--are not uncommon. Order any entree with lamb or a shish kebab for the most tender meat on the menu, and then relax as the prix-fixe courses arrive. At first, dipping your fingers into the tangy shlada--a heaping plate of traditional salads--seems wrong, but soon you'll be reaching with confidence for the bath towel draped over your shoulder. The b'stella, reminiscent of a Cornish hen potpie, arrives piping hot, with a satisfyingly crusty outer layer. Hot mint tea and a rosewater hand bath complete the evening.

The Inside Scoop

  1. The Extras - Take your experience home with a stop at Ameerah Imports, located in the restaurant. Haggle and get the best deal on trinkets and clothing.
  2. Know Before You Go - Imperial Fez caters to large groups. Round up some close friends, or bring your coworkers.
  3. Look Good - Wear your best socks, as shoes stay in the entryway. Avoid tight skirts--most seating is on low couches or on pillows on the floor.
  4. When to Go - The experience is at its best when the restaurant is full, so reserve a spot on the busy Friday or Saturday nights.

Overpriced - Don't believe the hype, save your money

by M D.

My wife and I went to Imperial Fez for our anniversary on 9/4/09. Our first annoyance is the fact that there is no self parking - valet only. Granted the valet is "complimentary", but what good is that if no one comes out when you pull up in front of the restaurant? We had reservations, so it's not like they didn't know we were coming. So, once we get in, we are asked to remove our shoes. No problem, but it would be nice if someone would have mentioned that when we made our reservations.

The place is unusually dark, which made reading the menu a problem. I found it funny that the "special" menu was $65/person, as if the regular menu price of $45/person wasn't enough for the "five course" meal. First course was a small cup of lentil soup. Not bad, but nothing special. Second course - one plate of various "salads" that we shared. None were very good, but it was odd to me that we had to share our salad, and that we had to ask several times for forks. I also found it amusing that it was too dark for the waitress to tell one salad from the next as she tried to explain what each salad was made of. The third course was one baked Cornish hen dish, almost pastry like, with powdered sugar and cinnamon on top. Again, we're paying $45/person to share our third course? Fourth course was lamb with apricots for me and cous-cous with lamb for my wife. My lamb was good, but very sweet. Her cous-cous was OK, but didn't come with enough lamb for her tastes. The firth course, dessert, was a large slice of watermelon, a small slice of cantaloupe, and 2 small baked pastries. Desert was horrible, and definitely not what I would have expected. I don't care for cantaloupe, the watermelon wasn't sweet, and the pastries weren't particularly good.

The only choice you get on the menu is what you want to eat for the fourth course. The service was ok, but nothing special, and not worth the automatic 15% in my mind. The belly dancing was ok, but definitely seemed to slow the service. And the music was absurdly loud when the belly dancer came out. The dancer had a flaming sword once, and that was a very impressive dance.

All in all, I think the place is incredibly overpriced for the mediocre food and service. We were there for over 2 hours with all the courses and dancing.

Imperial Fez

The thing I have most against this restaurant is the pricing. It seems very expensive for what you get. But the ambiance is very Moroccan and if you enjoy belly dancers, this is the place for you.

You can literally take off your shoes and relax!

by Leah S. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,191

Wow!! I went here with my husband and inlaws for my Mother-in-laws 50th birthday. It was so much fun. You take off your shoes when you in and sit on the floor to eat! The lamb was to die for. The couscous was the best I've ever eaten. There is no silverware, and you eat with your hands!!! When we went there were belly dancers, too. The decoration looks like you stepped off a plane in Morocco. Fantastic! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

PROS: Fun eating with hands and sitting on the floor.

Best Food I've Had In Atlanta!

by myronsgirl1

One of my hobbies for the past thirty-something years has been to learn about and experience foods from different parts of the world so I have eaten at many ethnic eateries during that time. I am well acquainted with a number of different cuisines including Lebanese, Persian, Hebrew (Kosher), Greek, Southern Indian, Pakistani, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese (Mongolian, Szechwan and Cantonese), Spanish, Italian, French, German, Mexican, Tex-Mex, Lowcountry Southern, Cajun, etc. However, I would have to say that the five course meal I ate at Imperial Fez was absolutely the BEST food I have ever eaten in my life!

The staff was very friendly and accomodating and made me feel more like I was an honored guest being entertained in their home rather than a patron at a commercial establishment. The carpets, tapestries and pillows gave the room a plush, comfortable, relaxed feeling and after settling in for a few minutes, it was hard to believe I was actually in Atlanta. I felt like I was dining in a Sultan's tent in some exotic, faraway desert. By the end of the evening, I fully expected to see camels instead of cars when I stepped outside.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard that there would be belly dancing; however, The belly dancers were attractive and charming and delivered a tasteful, entertaining performance. The dancing was definitely sensual and beautiful, but there was nothing lewd or overly suggestive about it.

The Imperial Fez is not the place to go for a quick bite to eat! I had planned to go out clubbing afterward, but I ended up having such a great time that I didn't want to leave! I ended up spending four hours of total bliss at the Fez that night and enjoyed it much more than I would have if I had stuck to my original agenda for the evening. I was sorry when it was time to go; however, I will definitely return for an encore!

Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere, Entertainment!

Cons: Prices

Have any doubt about the FEZ

by dijastyle

I'M still an employee of the imperial fez!!!
And it's with great pride that I'm sharing my experiences at the Imperial fez with you.
For most of you, it's about dinning for special occasions, change, discovering something new, impressing someone or even just celebrating life.
But what you don't know is: What is imperial fez anyway? The question seems simple. But the truth is, it?s just not that easy to answer.I can tell you that since we opened our doors in Atlanta, Georgia in 1991. Fez?s Delicatessen has become one of the city's leading restaurant in it's own right. With an emphasis on education, flavor, tradition and integrity of ingredients, we?ve worked to create a living, breathing, active culinary laboratory where one can experience everything from lamb couscous, to hand-picked preserved lemons, to hand made bread and pretty much everything in between. And in the process we?ve gained a reputation for sourcing unique, full flavored, traditionally made foodstuffs prepared from the heart of it's founders.
Who are serving your food at the Imperial Fez?
In most restaurants, you are being serve by young adults who are seeking ways to make fast money to get on with their lives. But at IMPERIAL FEZ, our guests are taken on an exotic journey, you are invited to dine as you would be by family, friends or neighbors. The hosts are educated individuals who speak several different languages for the most part and who take their guests well-being whole heartedly.
Most hosts at the Imperial Fez are corporate employees or college students, yet they still take great pride in their work. Mainly because it's not about the money or the title, but about working in loving and caring environment...just like home! It's about being part of something unique and bigger than the ordinary. IT'S about working with the coolest little company in America!!!
I CAN GO ON FOR DAYS AND YEARS, but I'm sure you don't have that kind of time. So come see us and see for yourself.

Great food, great atmosphere, great hosts!

by Marietta34

I have been to the Imperial Fez on numerous occassions over the past years, and have never been disappointed by the food and atmosphere. I do not know many restaurants where the chef & owner makes a real effort to meet as many guests personally as possible. But at the Imperial Fez both Rita & Rafih (owners) are extremely accessible and always eager to make everyone's dining experience a special occassion.
If you love an eating-adventure then this is your restaurant! The layering of exotic spices and aromas, as well as the fun presentation of the food, really make this a unique eating venue.
When I want to impress family members & friends, as well as colleagues when they come to visit Atlanta I always bring them to the Fez.
I have tried most of the dishes on the menue, but have to say that the Moroccan Lentil Soup, the Moroccan salads, and the B'stella appetizer (w/ Cornish Hen, almonds, honey all wrapped in a flakey crust) are my favorite! Top that off w/ the delicious Moroccan Mint Tea and I'm in heaven!

Nothing special and they overcharged my credit card for it

by boydaterguyfriend

Me and my girlfriend went as a first time visit. The atmosphere was different but nothing spectacular, the furniture and interior of the building looked cheap and the rugs and pillows looked like they were dusty and needed to be cleaned.

We were seated by our waitress who made a few comments to us that were completely unprofessional and rude. She then took 15 minutes before taking our orders for food. My girlfriend asked for silverware to eat one of the dishes and the waitress lied and said that they didn't have any. She really just didn't want to bring any out because she did concede that they do bring out silverware for the desert and my girlfriend had to ask instantly again for her to bring out silverware for this particular dish. It seemed more like we had someone who wanted to contend with us and be difficult rather than wait on us. She had an attitude and didn't smile the whole time. I expected better.

The food itself was just so so, again nothing special that would leave an impression or make me want to go back. The entertainment was a belly dancer who came out twice and who looked more like a tattooed stripper.

I wanted to reflect the poor service to our waitress with the tip I was going to give her but the tips are automatically factored into the bill (no wonder they don't' have servers with motivation or incentive to serve well) so I didn't get a chance to. The bill came out to $110 for 2 people, I found out on the way home that the waitress overcharged my credit card by $18 which I had to call the next day to complain about. When I called to complain I told the manager about the waitress and the poor service we received and he insisted he would get to the bottom of it and call me back. Its been over a week and I still haven't received a call back from him.

Based on what I paid for and was expecting I was let down and cannot recommend this place to any of my friends.

Pros: if you like belly dancers that look like hot strippers

Cons: over priced and over charged credit card

A Birthday I will never forget.

by EvainYork

I came to the Imperial Fez Friday night for my birthday. I tell this place blew me away; it was like I walked into a whole new world. I found the price very reasonable starting at $25 and up for a five course meal. The service was like clockwork everything from the soup to the dessert was timed perfectly. The food was superb and totally worth it. The best part was the belly dancer she was stunning and demonstrated a few moves belly dancing for me that was cool most dancers don't do that. I also was told they have belly dancing lessons on Saturday mornings how cool is that. I was even visited by the owner she asked us how were doing and even talked to us about her home county (Morocco) it sounded so gorgeous and remarkable. I now want to go there sometime and have the full Moroccan cultural experience. After dinner I went to the shop were they have the most beautiful stuff form coin belt hip scarf?s, jewelry form morocco, to tradition clothing that I was impress with the young gentlemen that welcomed us to the shop and offer his assistance if needed, I wanted to buy almost everything in that cute little shop, however, I just bought an outfit, shoes, and some jewelry that were sold at very reasonable prices as well. I now just want to Thank the staff and the owners at the impearl fez for giving me the best birthday ever. I will come back with some more of my family and friends very soon so they can experience too.
Thanks again,
Evian D. York

Pros: Everything

Cons: I can't say anything bad about the fez I had the best time ever.

Accidental pleasure

by lololoves

I learned about this place when I accidently parked here when going to Sunny's. It was expensive cuisine in a really nice environment. The lamb is amazing and succulent. I have since become a fan of Ibiza next door since it is more affordable and features some highlights from Imperial Fez at a better price.

My 40th birthday at Imperial Fez!

by VHawkins1

When I entered the restaurant, I noticed the cultural feel. Once my shoes were off, we were escorted to the table. The seating is quite low so I had to adjust because I am tall 5'11". We were given menus and we asked questions about what was recommended. It was our first visit. I enjoyed washing my hands with the water they provided. Then we were told to put our towel on our left shoulder. No detail was left out. I will warn you - if you like hot sauce - the kind that bites and lingers you will love theirs. I tasted it to see what it tasted like.....whew........I had to leave it alone. It bit me for awhile. We tried the lamb shank and royal couscous. We were told not fill up on the bread, but from the 1st course to the last it was good. I noticed that not a lot of salt was in the dishes. Having said that I noticed that the different seasonings made the dishes tasty. The lamb shank was very tender. You could pull it with a fork and eat it. The belly dancing was fun....I was amazed to see someone dance with fire and the different sensual twists and turns. What I really liked was when she pulled me and another young lady up to try it. I had a blast! I was honored that my boyfriend chose Imperial Fez. It was my 40th birthday and I really had a good time. It is nice to experience other cultures.

Pros: The ambience was wonderful, I enjoyed looking around at the inside....

Cons: We went on a night when it was not crowded....would be better to go when a lot of people are there.

A must while in Atlanta

by gypsyfood

If you ever in Atlanta, I highly suggest you make it to Imperial Fez. It is a tad pricey, but that is to be expected for superb service and food. Everything was perfect. I was here on a business meeting, and it was the perfect place to change up the mundane meeting settings. The food was heavenly. The chef is absolutely fearless when it comes to taking risks. The decor was entertaining and nothing like I or my coworkers had ever seen before.

Pros: Service, Cuisine, Ambiance

Cons: Pricey, but entirely worth it

Unique, Over-Rated, Good Food

by xalsk3v

The initial service was lovely until our waiter showed up. I'm 96% positive he was rude because my husband was Indian and he was most likely from Pakistan. (The waiter first asked him if he was Pakistani and my husband said Indian). I have never seen a waiter rush my husband to order. He even tried grabbing the menu from him before he decided on a drink. I am not exaggerating. He later straightened up a bit throughout the night. We were not rude......won't ever be. We both noticed 3 other waiters and waitresses and they seemed to give excellent service.
The food was good, but definitely over-priced. Both of our meals were $65. I realize it was paying for the whole atmosphere and belly dancing show, but was still outrageous. One thing I noticed was that a large group was getting ripped-off on the amount of food compared to a couple. For example, the 2nd course salads were brought out on one plate for everyone to share. The group of 5, next to us, had to share the same amount we had off one plate. The same went for the appetizer and dessert course. What an even bigger rip off for them.
The belly dancing show was awesome. We managed to see all 5 of Amani's performances through the night. I was expecting more than one belly dancer, but she was the only one and it was a Saturday--I expected more than one dancer because I saw the photos on the website. Amani seemed to be a very sweet lady, not that that really matters... She was not too bad and my husband and I enjoyed the shows. I say not too bad because I've seen belly dancing and it seemed to be a lot more 'dancing freely' than actual belly dancing.
We parked across the street to save from paying tips for valet service. I recommend that because you're already going to be paying a boat load for your dinner. The two of us, with one drink and one juice, totaled $177.00 (they included the tip). Luckily, I had a $20 off coupon from my entertainment book....didn't seem like much but it helped.

Pros: Atmosphere, Belly Dancer

Cons: Over-Priced, Average to Good Food

Rude Valet and food-service that is outrageously priced!

by beefchuck

Really we were intrigued by the Moroccan idea and an international flavor. We also wanted to entertain some out of town guests. Let me tell you that this place is a total waste! We paid over $400 for a party of 5 and we were all dissapointed. The food was bland, they tried to serve us wayy too much and the water was straight out of the tap. We eventually left early because of the poor taste of the food and obnoxious staff. In this economy, one would have to be fooled to dine in this place. We were Fooled!

Pros: Buckhead

Cons: Parking, Food, Service, Cost

Obscenely expensive

by pianogirl54

This restaurant has been around forever and is alot of fun to take guests to the city. That being said I was there last night with friends from out of town. We had a great time, the food is good and the entertainment is fun. There were only about 12 people in the entire restaurant and I'm thinking that unless they make some changes fast, this place could be on the endangered species list. The food is good, tasteful, aromatic herbs and spices, unusual - but not worth the price tag. The five of us left with a tab of almost $500 and only two of us had a single cocktail, several just had water. My drink was the house special tropical mixture of some sort, served in a 4 oz. glass with just a hint of alcohol and a price tag of $10. I noticed on the menu they are having a "Ladies Night" for $35 on Wed. This is really much more along the lines of what this meal should cost. Cut out a course or two and lower the price, free pour the drinks a tad and the place might survive. For the price tag on the evening we could have gone to a five-star restaurant. Over the years I've been there many times, but sadly, I'd have to say the "sticker shock" of last night's meal might make that my last visit there. I might go for the Specials, but never again will go full price. My guests wll have to venture there alone. For that price I want steak and lobster and a $50 bottle of good wine. My guess would be that this restaurant was in it's hay day during the time of big business expense accounts, but I'll bet they're feeling the pinch of the decline of that scenario. You might want to check it out just so you can say you did someday.

Pros: Entertaining, different, parking is easy, large portions, tasteful food

Cons: Obscenely expensive, drinks weak and in tiny glass with big price tag

Still one of the best restaurant in town

We've been to the restaurant several times on the past few years, and it still one of the best options in town for a fun dinner night.
The bellydancing show with fire, sword and dance it's a show apart. It's of those events that you will always remember and will want to repeat.
We love the moroccan food, the flavor and spices, we recommend the lamb cutlet and kabobs.

OVER-RATED!

by denroe

My Fiancee and I just visited the restaurant for the first time this past weekend, and I have to admit it most definitely is not worth the price. We went on a Saturday night when the five course meal is required. Shortly after arriving we were seated and soon after that the courses began. Everyone of the courses was good (both of us had the royal couscous as our entre choice) and the service was good, although a couple of times we were left with empty glasses of water for 10-15 mins. There was occasional belly dancing performances throughout the evening which provided a nice atmosphere. In general we were having a good but not great time, and then we received the bill...$180 for 2 people. Maybe its just us but when we spend $90 a person on a dinner we expect to be blown away, coming out of the experience with our palates amazed and seamless service. Just being good does not cut it at that price! You can get similar quality food, service, and atmosphere at Cafe Istanbul for 1/3 the price. Or you could go to ANY 4 star restaurant and receive highly superior food and service for the same or less price. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the place based on lack of value...we didn't feel we got what we payed for.

Pros: good group or family atmoshere, romantic

Cons: horrible lack of value

A real event! Very unique and an exciting experience....

We went in a party of 8 and everyone had something different to eat. What a feast. The Lamb was incredible and the dancing was something to see. Go hungry, wear your best socks and eat with your fingers! Hard to beat.... The fire dance is really fun and exciting as is all of the entertainment. Highly recommended for groups but small children may get bored with the food!

Pros: A Real treat for an occasion, not for everyday!

Great customer service, Nothing special about the food.

by jrw0012

The restaurant definitely pampers it's customers by offering great customer service. It's a great place to take someone on a date. Yet, I found there was nothing special about the food. You receive a 5 course meal, but all the fun is squeezed out, because the food does not match up to excellent quality. You could definitely get better tasting food for 1/2 the price at other restaurants.

Pros: Great Customer service

Cons: Nothing special about the food

Fanastic Birthday Experience!

by numbersgirl

I took a friend here for his birthday and we had an amazing experience! He said it was one of his favorite birthday experiences ever. It was like being in another country. Such a different atmosphere and unlike anything in Atlanta. I see why so many people talk about this place now. The entertainment (belly dancers) were a lot of fun and spent a lot of time in our section which was great! Every dish just got better and better. What a cool way to sample so many different foods in one evening - I think we counted about 25 different items! The lamb is perhaps the best I've ever had. We were both really sad to finish that. I will definately be back and tell others about this place!!!

Pros: cool atmosphere, amazing food, great service, wonderful for special nights out

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

by gillyanmcneal25

I went with a group of 9 people to Imperial Fez for my sister?s birthday. The experience was completely awful! We had reservations for 8:30, first group to be seated and the last group to leave at 1am. 4 ? HOURS!! Be prepared to pay for every refill and don't expect any compensation for their bad service! The area we were sitting at was the last place the belly dancers came to and it was at the end of the song that they made it there. Lights were never dimmed over our table through out the whole night. The food leading up to the entree was not good enough to be charging $45- $65 per person! After we complained to the manager about the lights and the belly dancing, we were told they would send out another belly dancer to dance for us. We sat there for another 45 minutes, was told again that a dancer was about to come out and no one ever showed up. We watched the servers go to every table and sing happy birthday, then came to my sister sat the candle down and walked away. Our dessert was a fruit cup! Are tab was $1000 and they wanted us to tell them how much we wanted to pay per couple. Our waitress hands us a pen and paper and walks away, We wrote down per couple what we had, when the waitress came back she says, this will take too long she wanted a numerical amount, but she'll do it anyway. We're supposed to add it all up for her too? 15 minutes later she shows back up with our separate checks. UNBELIEVABLE! We were all pretty upset because we've heard such great reviews about this restaurant. This restaurant has potential to be a great place; unfortunately we didn't get to experience it.

Pros: Decor

Cons: service, wait and too expensive for the food!

Great dance, too pricy, bad food

by svijay

The ambience is good, the dancers provide great entertainment, the service is average, and the food is very pricy and nothing to look forward to. I ordered a couscous and kabob entree, and the couscous was so dry and badly prepared. None of us even finished a quarter portion of our entrees. This is some place you can go to for the entertainment, and that too if you have a lot of money to waste.

Outstanding, but be prepared to pay!

by bmvikes14

There's no question Imp Fez is authentic, from the tainted glass lanterns and rug adorned ceilings to the sultry belly dancers. The music has more of a modern bent than similar restaurants, and It's certainly not the kind of place for those loathe to experiment. Be prepared to lay down $150 for 2 people, but also be prepared to stuff yourself. Also, the environment induces sleepiness, watch out or you'll pass out on a pillow and your girlfriend will have to carry you out (not like that happened to me or anything, haha). -Ben

Pros: Memorable. It seemed like a dream the next morning :-)

Cons: Wouldn't make it a first date

The Moroccan Experience

by jquintons

From the first moment you enter the place you feel as though you are in another country, Morocco. Everything about this place is authentic. From the clothes the servers where to the actual servers. Everything and everyone is from Morocco. The Food is very tasty, maybe a little spicy (hot) for me, but still tasty. I'm vegeterian and was please with the selection of food.

Once there, you quickly realize that you are not there only for the food. You are now a part of their culture. You even get to belly dance, if you are brave enough. This is also great for a first date if you are trying to impress you date and get a little closer.

I love this place because they make me feel so relax, and I am certain my date feels impressed, relaxed and ready for anything else I have to give. Go and check it out, it's worth every penny.

The WORST restaurant ever

by noordoc

Our group of 8 went out to dinner here, and it really was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. Our server was rude, not helpful, got the food she brought to our table mixed up, NEVER smiled, and she "forgot" to bring us change for a $100 bill and we had to go hunt her down. Three of us felt sick during and after our meal from the food. I am writing this review in between going to the bathroom from the food. The music was way to loud, we had to ask our server 10 times to bring out a glass of water, it was just a mess. $400, still hungry, and 3 hours later, we finally escaped that hell hole. I will NEVER be back and would strongly advise anyone thinking about eating there to go somewhere else. You'd have to be a masochist to go.

Pros: Parking was free on a Monday night.

Cons: Expensive, bad food, even worse service.

Pretty much a waste of $$

by cmreddy2

My friend a I arrived to the restaurant before the rest of our party and the hostess was pretty rude. We were finally seated and the food was not very good and difficult to eat. My pomegranate martini tasted and looked like it had no alcohol in it. Waste of $8.50. It was so loud in there, the waitress misheard our order and brought the wrong drinks. Fortunately, our waitress was pretty nice and the belly dancers were slightly entertaining. Our bill was over $500 for 6 people and we hardly touched the food! I will never return to this restaurant.

Pros: atmosphere added variety

Cons: definitely not worth the $$

Very disappointing, especially for the price you pay!

by talanie

VERY DISAPPOINTED! I took my husband at Imperial Fez for a special birthday celebration. Prior to the reservations, I called to ensure that I want this to be a great birthday for him and they promised that we will be taken care of. When we arrived at the restaurant, we waited for 5 mins for the hostess and when we were seated, they stuck us in the back dark corner of the room. On top of that, they were suppose to bring out a candle and sing for my husband which they totally forgot to do as well. Also, I understand it's a 5-course meal but I didn't expect to last for 4 freakin' hours! Our waiter/belly dancers announcer was so busy that he often forgot our order. When they finally brought our main entree (which took more than 1/2 hour after they said they were gonna bringing it out), they brought it one by one (10mins apart), not all at the same time.

We left the restaurant so late that we didn't even bother going out for some cocktails. Everyone just felt so tired that we all ended up going home. Thanks to Imperial Fez for making this night the worst restaurant experience I've ever had!

If you want great Middle-Eastern food, go to Rumi's Kitchen in Roswell Road.

Pros: Belly dancers

Cons: Everything else!

Best Entertainment Dinning in town

by bruce30309

I've never been to this kind of restaurant, I can say it's truly unique. Be prepared to have fun and enjoy a night with wonderful belly dancing shows.
The food is also unique on its spices and flavors. I had a great time with my girlfriend and recommend to everybody.

Pros: belly dancing shows, food, ambience

never again

by wysteria

I went here last night and I was VERY dissapointed! The music WAY to loud, you can't even hear yourself think. The wait staff VERY rude, didn't smile, rolled eyes at questions and would not even offer a glass of water and when you asked for water they didn't bring it out to your table. The prices out of control for the type of service you get. You have to take off your shoes & if you want to wear their slippers they charge you $4.99 for them. If you want to pay a TON of money and be treated rudely this is the place to go!

Pros: none

Cons: attitude, price, too loud

PERFECT PLACE FOR ALL OCCASIONS

by diraf

My friend & I being to the Fez many times and enjoyed everytime. This time we decided to go and try the a la carte menu that they started about 6 month ago. Let me tell you it was so tasteful. I had a shrimp appetizer & my friend had a seafood one, it was sooooo good everyone should try the a la carte. I like the five course deal, but eating a la carte you can go more often and enjoy the place, relax, see the dancer and the good thing you only pay for what you eat and I can go more often. Perfect for us the Fez is the best.

I took my mother there for her birthday. We had a lot of fun. We met the owners they were so polite. The only thing I didnt like was the fact that they can not split the check. There was about 10 of us and we wanted seperate checks. Oh well. It was fun the food was great and the atmosphere is awesome.

Pros: Atmosphere, Friendliness, Food

Cons: Cant seperate check, Kind of High

If only the owner can keep quite!

by rtimbo

I wish that the owner can be limited to the introduction of dancers. Too many speeches and too much preaching. We felt like we were at a seminar not dining.
Food: Ok!
Service: Not so good
Value: Too expensive

Pros: Decor, Dancing

Cons: Too Expensive, Owner Speeches

cheezy

by grelalixs

we have been in morrocco numerous times and there is no class at this restaurant like morrocco showed us. Very disapointing. The bellydancers danced way to much we were sick to death of the loud music. Dancing nice but to much. Service horrible no one smiled. They seemed very unhappy. Good idea, but seemed more like i was at a nightmare disney world. There was a dancer that came out and did dance for a man in the center of the room that did a wired african dance. Did not understand why we paid so much.
