Dear Mr. MacBride,

My name is Laurie A. Gawelko, M.S., and I am a Service Dog trainer in San Antonio, TX. I am writing to inform you that I am aware of the fact that you treated one of my clients (and one of your guests), Ms. Megan Trapp, and her Service Dog with utter discrimination and harassment at your resort.

My client was there to celebrate her daughters 4th birthday. Your management and staff were extremely rude to my client and her Service Dog. They would not allow her and her Service Dog into common places, were placed in a unit that was filthy and far away from the rest of your customers, and were not allowed access to places like the beach or on the boat.

As a result of your discrimination and harassment, which I am informing you is absolutely illegal, Ms. Trapp actually had to cut her visit a week short do to the extreme amount of stress you placed upon her.

I have been in the Service Dog training sector for over six years, and I am well-informed on ADA laws regarding the rights of individuals with Service Dogs and also the illegality of what your resort did.

This is a VERY serious matter, and is considered a misdemeanor in the state of Texas. Please be informed that I have a bevy of ADA lawyers at my disposal that would be more than willing to help Ms. Trapp file a lawsuit against you and your company, which you would not win.

My suggestion to you at this time is:

Write an apology letter to Ms. Megan Trapp which is ccd to me, offer her a free stay at your resort with all the amenities afforded to any of your other customers, and read up on laws regarding the rights of those with Service Dogs.

You can be assured that I will write about your treatment of Ms. Trapp to your corporate headquarters, on every internet venue possible, and on my companys personal Facebook site, to let others know what your management and staff have done.

If we do not receive a response within three business days from you, I will advise Ms. Trapp to begin filing a lawsuit.

Sincerely,

Laurie A. Gawelko, M.S.
