Great service! The food is well prepared and the atmosphere is ideal for a date. The menu allows you to try a wide variety of Mexican dishes. Ask the wait staff for a recommendation.

Very Good Mexican Food

by Lois W. | insider Insider | Rank: 12,979

A good place to go for tex-mex, lunch or dinner. They serve all the traditional tex-mex favorites, and have an expansive lunch menu. The food arrives very quickly, portions are generous and the wait staff is efficient and friendly. Prices are competitive.

Fabulous Patio and Great Margaritas

by daskds123

We love this place! The patio is one of the best in Dallas! Secluded from the street, protected from the winds with a dripping fountain - perfect for Texas Summers. Many regulars can be found sipping margaritas and eating tasty Mexican food. Like 9 different types of Chile Rellanos - and not a one of them battered and deep fried. So good! Well stocked bar and they make a mean Mojito as well. The kids and adults all like this place. I am sorry one guy had such a bad experience. Ask for Arnold next time and he will fix any problems you have!

Pros: Margaritas

Cons: Some waiters attitudes

Great, creative Mexican food

by drad3

I am also reluctant to leave reviews, but having read johnjohn's review I felt that another opinion was needed. Casa Milagro is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the DFW area - aside from Javier's which doesn't really count as competition. I have eaten lunch and dinner there dozens of times (my waistline is proof) and absolutely love the food. While the brisket tacos and chili rellenos (8 varieties) are divine, in actuality, I have never had a bad meal there at either lunch or dinner. Like most restaurants, they get crowded and service can sometimes be slower than you would like, but the place is crowded for a reason. Every single person I have introduced to Casa Milagro has loved the place and you will also.

The owner put in many years at M Group restaurants (Mi Cocina, Mercury etc.) and learned more than a thing or two about how to run a great restaurant. Be sure to go by in the evening so you can sit on the patio and try the margaritas. Again, I don't think anyone is making a tastier drink. Don't listen to johnjohn, try it for yourself. You will see why there is always a good crowd.

Pros: Great with both traditional and creative Mexican cuisine

Cons: Can sometimes be crowded and require a short wait.

Great food and service

by gman_72

I normally don't provide reviews but after reading the one left by johnjohn I couldn't just let it be the only opinion on Casa Milagro.

I've lived in Dallas for about 7 years now and I have to say Casa Milago has the BEST brisket tacos I ever had. I haven't had anything this good since we used to go visit my Grandmother for Sunday lunch and she shredded the meat with her own hands. The portions are very generous, just like abuelita used to serve. You also have to try their mojitos. They are awesome and I dare you to try just one. It even has real sugar cane, a nice authentic touch.

Every time I?ve been there the service was great. They work in teams so as the server is greeting you the chips and salsa are being placed on the table. I speak a limited amount of Spanish but I enjoy trying to do my greetings, thankings, and ordering in Spanish. The server stays in step with me and always gives me a big smile for my feeble attempts.

If you like authentic Mexican food and you like a family feel to your restaurants, I strongly suggest you try Casa Milagro. Hey since I?ve been writing this review it?s made me crave it and now I?m going for lunch (can?t wait). Hope to see you there!

Pros: service, tacos, mojitos

Cons: a little pricy, but not too bad

horrible service, cold food, just plain rude!

by johnjohn84

the waiter was rude from the get go. the food was cold and the tacos al carbon were full of fatty meat. the table next to us asked to have their food heated up, we just ate ours and decided not to return. at the end of the meal the waiter asked how it was i began to tell him and he walked off and paid no attention. i would not recommend it unless you are just having drinks.

Pros: the flavor of the foods was on target.

Cons: service, cold food, fatty meat
