I recently redid a room in my house. I went to Brock Moran for area rugs. Everything in the store is perfectly merchandised. They had a huge selection of rug samples to look at and I found the perfect sisal rug in grey tones.

Brock, the owner and designer could not have been more helpful. I needed the rug delivered relatively soon and Brock went out of his way to accommodate my request.

When another local furniture store failed to deliver my sofa, I canceled the order. I ordered another sofa from Brock Moran. The experience was once again exceptional. They kept me well informed as to the progress of my sofa.

Their service has been consistently professional, courteous and attentive. If you're looking for classic, contemporary, beautifully made furniture, Brock Moran is the place to go!

As the owner of Brock Moran Home, I take great pride in delivering the best customer service possible to our clients. When a client has an unfortunate experience such as the one described in the negative review by AEGS, it takes time and several apologies to make things right again.

We did not expect the application of scotch guard to alter the appearance of the leather ottoman. Our supplier, Fiber Services, who provides the scotch guard protection, assured us the ottoman could be protected. Fiber Services are experts in the treatment of fabrics and leathers, and we asked them to research the issue and assist us in resolving this matter.

Fiber Service??s response: "As the vendor who treated this ottoman purchased from Brock Moran Home, we replaced the ottoman nearly a year ago at NO COST to the customer and feel she is now happy with her purchase of this high-end ottoman. We continue to have a great working relationship with Brock Moran Home, as satisfying many customers with stain protection in the Carolinas for over 29 years."

We are grateful that Fiber Services responded positively by replacing the ottoman at no cost to this customer. We are sincerely sorry Amy had a negative experience in our store and have taken steps to ensure this does not happen again.

If I could give this store no stars based on its customer service, I would. While Brock Moran does carry beautiful and chic home furnishings, the customer service could not be worse. You can find every line they carry elsewhere in Charlotte (i.e. Traditions, Mrs. Howard, Circa) and you will no doubt be far happier dealing with these stores instead.

The employees at Brock Moran act as if they have very little interest in helping, even when you are the only customer in the store, which is almost always the case. My husband and I originally went in to inquire about custom ordering a sofa and rather than act remotely interested in helping, the associate kept trying to push us to buy a sale sofa on the floor despite the many concerns that we expressed about it. This should have been a good indication of what was to come.

We did end up buying another piece of furniture from the store b/c we loved the look of it so much. Per their strong recommendation, we had the furniture Scotchguarded by the company they referred us to. The treatment ruined our piece of furniture, turning what was once a gorgeous ivory leather piece yellow.

When we called Brock Moran to tell them what had happened they took absolutely no responsibility for the mishap, despite having specifically referred us to this vendor and having told us to treat the piece. We did some research and came to find out from the manufacturer that this leather was never supposed to have been treated (per clear instructions from the manufacturer) and the associate at Brock Moran never told us that. When you sell a line of furniture in your shop, isn't it your responsibility to be knowledgeable about said product and perhaps even provide care instructions before the customer leaves? After learning of this HUGE oversight on their part, we called Brock Moran and the owner repeatedly avoided our calls and refused to return our calls or respond to our messages.

They never took responsibility for the damage and placed all of the blame squarely on the shoulders of the company that had treated the piece. It would probably behoove Brock Moran to train its employees and ensure that they are knowledgeable about the furniture they sell. If you are going to offer custom upholstery, you should know whether it can or cannot be Scotchguarded. They could not have handled the situation more poorly and we ended up having to use another store in town to replace the piece of furniture. I strongly recommend avoiding this place at all cost and instead giving your business to one of the many other stores in town that carry the same things and actually know their products!!!
