Scharffen Berger Chocolate

Scharffen Berger Chocolate is very good. It is a higher end chocolate sold here, at a couple of their own stores, and at high end grocery stores. I highly recommend coming here to view the tour and to try the chocolate. They have these tiny squares that are $.50 each. It is well worth the price!

The Scharffen Berger factory tour is very well done. Before the tour the guests are given a history of chocolate making. Samples of cocoa beans in different states of processing are handed out to illustrate the points being made.

Reservations are required and can be done online. Make sure you tour the factory while it is operating. We went on a Saturday afternoon and got to see the machines but the line wasn't operating.

PROS: Excellent tour. You go home smelling like a big chocolate bar!
