I went to E.R. at Mountainside Piedmont Hospital. The Dr. was VERY Mean to me and actually called me a liar when I tried explaining what was going on. I realized that she wasn't goint to TREAT me for anything so I refused any further testing and told her I wanted to go home. I have NEVER been treated that way in my life. I went to a Dr. at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta THE SAME DAY and He gave me a ALBUTEROL INHALER for wheezing and an ANTIBIOTIC and A STEROID PACK. THE ER DR sent me home with over the counter zyrtec and scoffed at me when I said I was choking on Fleme and could'nt breath well. SHE WASNT Going to treat me, I was obviously had the wrong color of skin.

.

I went to the ER due to an allergic reaction to a medication. I told the triage nurse, the nurse on duty and the doctor about a surgical procedure I had that limits the types of meds I can take. Even after telling them this and wearing an ID band that indicates this, I was given 2 injections of steroids that I can't have due to an increased bleeding risk. I was also prescribed a course of oral steroids that I can't take due to the surgery and bleeding risk. Had I not read the information with the prescription, who knows what condition I would be in. I would never go back to this hospital even if it is the closest ER. When I told my surgeon's nurse, she was livid.
