Went to visit this store for the first time today. Very reminiscent of the Amish in PA. Sure some of their stuff is imported from other Amish groups in Ohio. So what.. It was still authentic in feel and the people were super nice. The soaps are a little higher priced but show me any mainstream boutique that sells if for cheaper when its hand made.. Not going to happen. At least i know if i buy it from them I am actually supporting a group of people who actually made it by hand and didnt just stamp it with "organic materials". Totally worth my 45 minute drive!

I love coming here. It is so great to see their culture and the bread is amazing. They also sell every kind of jelly you can think of and all sorts of soup mixes. If you have never been you should go try it out for sure!

This is an awesome store! They make great cakes, deserts. I am a very lucky to have gotten to know the owners over the years! Don't let Kelly G's "review" fool you...this is a MUST for any visitor to the Yadkin Valley region of North Carolina

Just what tourists want, & overpriced accordingly. If you look at the labels most of their stuff is imported from Ohio including the cheese and soaps. Not sure what if anything they make on site. I don't think $4.50+ is a good enough price to try their cheese or meat.

PROS:
CONS: Pricey

My family loves to visit Shilohs General Store! The owners are Amish and the store is similiar to those found in Lancaster, PA. You'll find a good selection of real canned, ie.mason jars, pickles and jellys, bulk foods and some of the best deli Amish meats and cheeses in the area. During the lunch hours, they serve wonderful, made to order sandwiches. Prices are great and don't forget to pick up a loaf of sour dough bread!
