Indulgence a Salon

What a great space!!!Really has that NYC feel. Thanks to Vicki for a great haircut and pedicure. I can say, I was truly pampered that day. I stayed for three hours and couldn't believe where the time had gone. It was my choice to hangout and enjoy the time with these great people. What a fantastic experience!!! Thanks to all your employees for their knowledge and hospitality, from the front desk to all who participated. I have already told so many of my friends about what a great day I spent at Salon Indulgence. Thanks again!

I went to indulgence after checking out almost all salons in mt pleasant area . I had never had such a satisfying experience ever . Christina is awesome and knows what she is doing. I felt so "safe" in her hands .Staff is courteous and professional.
I would highly recommend the ritual which is dollars so well spent. I would never miss on that one for sure. Best shampoo massage. The chairs are awesome. You can stretch your legs while getting this perfect head massage..
I got lot of compliments for the hair color. Perfect!
The only thing I would say is the cost. I think the hair cut is overpriced at 80 dollars and so is the blow dry. The color and highlights are reasonable.But I would highly recommend the salon.

I had been looking for a new hair stylist and my co-worker recommended I try Indulgence. I'm very glad I went there. Tina did a really nice job on my highlights and did a super job on my cut. She was very friendly, professional and attentive as she listened to my ideas for my hair. During the process, she explained what she was doing and answered my questions. Plus she showed me helpful styling techniques. This was the first salon I have visited in a while that didn't have an air cattiness. There was no trash talking amongst the other staff and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing at the same time. I've already received a number of compliments about my new hair style. Thanks Tina! I am a 26 year old professional from NYC, and was recently in the Charleston S.C. area for work this winter. I am extremely picky about my hair color, and decided to read online reviews about salons in the Charleston area before making my choice. After reading the great reviews on this site, I decided to give Indulgence a try. I scheduled an appointment-they were extremely flexible and were able to fit me in on the same day. My appointment was with Tory-both Tory and Christina (the salon owner) sat down with me for a good twenty minutes to discuss the color that I wanted. They really take the time to listen. As a blonde, I think it is difficult to find a colorist that can find the exact shade for you without going too brassy. Well, the color they put on my hair looked FANTASTIC. I have not received more compliments on my hair before. The amount I spent on my hair at Indulgence is a much better value than at any salon in NYC or LA that I have tried. I would highly recommend Indulgence to anyone that is looking to get color/highlights in their hair. The only problem is, I want to keep coming to Indulgence despite the fact that I live out of town!! :)

I just moved to the area and was dreading trying a new salon. To my surprise I had a PERFECT experience at Indulgence A Salon. Ali and the rest of the staff were awesome and very friendly--and not to mention they somehow managed to work me in on New Years Eve..how great?!

I was received well! I have experienced several bad cutsand styles in the last 4 1/2/ years and a lot of stress, which shows through in our hair and skin. So, by chance I walked in one day picked up a brochure of what the salon offered their clientel. I made a consulation appointment with Christina the owner. She was great! I believe she will help me with my hair. She understands the reality of have very curly thick hair. I felt very comfortable and look for great changes with my hair. She waived the consultation fee and I walked out with product(s) she suggested I try. A $43.00 well spent

The first time I went to Indulgence, Christina sat down with me to talk to me about what I wanted. I felt like she really cared and really listened to what I requested and actually followed through with that request. She has created some really unique looks for me for Christmas parties for which I would always receive compliments. She also last year, colored my hair from blonde to brunette, and I can't see myself ever going back to blonde again!

I love the feel of the salon when I walk in. Everyone is so friendly and seems like family. I feel very welcome as they serve me water, soda, or, sometimes, even a glass of wine.

I definitely recommend trying Indulgence!

While this salon is a little more expensive than others, it is well worth the extra buck or two to know that you'll be satisfied every time. The staff is always very professional yet laidback and they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and well-hydrated :) There is an art to getting red haircolor exactly right and Christina, the owner of the salon, has it. I highly recommend Indulgence!

A huge "thank you!" to Michelle at Indulgence a Salon, I've lived in the Charleston area off and on the past few years and was unhappy with the salon's I visited though unsure of where else to go, thankfully I happened upon Indulgence through citysearch. Everyone at this salon was attentive and made me feel comfortable the minute I walked through the door. Michelle took the time to ask questions and consider my input before deciding on a color that I LOVE. With a lot of hair and several colors going on to it, I never felt she had to hurry to get to another customer. I have already recommended this salon to coworkers who have complained about their current choices. The prices are comparable or less to others in the area and the results are worth every penny!

I had such a great experience at Indulgence. I felt quite at home, and found everyone to be friendly. That is of utmost importance to me. When I moved here 10 years ago, I bounced around from salon to salon trying to find someone who could color my hair with a "natural" look like my stylist did, in Connecticut. I'm blond with fine hair that damages easily with the wrong color treatment. I ended up with Christina at her former salon and loved how she instinctively seemed to understand what I wanted (and what I didn't want!).

She left to open her own salon. I lost her number and ended up at a few different salons again, with unhappy results. I found Christina a couple of years ago and have been content again since.

I live in the Charlotte, NC area. I was visiting the area and needed salon serves at the last minute so I made an appointment with Christina based on recommendations. The receptionist was very accommodating and worked me in. I was in one of those moods where I asked the master hairdresser to do something different other than a trim. I was tired of my current style and very brave at the time.

The last time I said do something different, I was at Hiroshis in Beverly Hills. Hiroshi is phenomenal. If you are ever in Beverly Hills, I recommend visiting him. Hes worth every penny.

Well, to my surprise, I loved my new cut and color done by Christina. My experience was so wonderful, that I make a point to drive to Indulgence from Charlotte 4 times a year for salon services for me and my daughter.

I have gone to many salons and multiple hair stylists in the Charlotte area over the last 15 years and have found no one who was worth a second visit. Therefore, the trip to Indulgence is worth the hassle of the 240 mile roundtrip drive to have a phenominal hair cut that remains beautiful as it grows out.

Christina is excellent at color and styling. I am always pleased when I leave her salon. Her staff is excellent and very accommodating providing a high level of service.

If you are in the Charleston area, this is one stop that you need to make.

Indulgence is a superior salon that offers quality services as well as a friendly, professional atmosphere. Their prices are consistent with competitors at their level, but their cuts and color definitely exceed other salons. The icing on the cake is the personable staff and their attention to detail. The best part -- they will show you how to recreate the hairstyle at home so you can make sure to look salon styled everyday!

I am just THRILLED with the services I receive at Indulgence a Salon! My story begins almost 2 years ago, when I slinked self-consciously in to Indulgence, hoping to find a new hair-style to help bolster my below ground self-esteem, and help remedy my lack of feeling remotely feminine. I was suffering the ill-effects of a divorce I couldn't quite get over, and was still torturing myself about, letting myself go, and forsaking my feminine side. Despite my way-too-baggy shape concealing clothing; my long, shaggy, ill-self-colored hair; and my obvious self-doubt and loathing, the Lovely Ladies of Indulgence saw the spark of determination in my eyes, and the beauty of a diamond in the rough!!! They welcomed me in with smiles and warmth and coffee :-)! They pampered me and spoiled me! They transformed my hair into a flattering mane--long and RED, for my Leo nature!!! They have continued to get to know me, nurture me, and just plain spoil me! over these past several months. They have patiently taught me many things, including the art styling my naturally curly LONG, RED hair; the art of eyebrow shaping and waxing; the beauty and benefits of skin care and moisturizing; the wonder of manicures and pedicures (and how pampering that is for a woman's soul and sense of femininity and well-being!); the art of makeup, emphasizing the natural beauty I have; and the art of just being me--and appreciating that!!! Indulgence is a great salon with a laid back staff that seems incredibly knowledgeable about what they do. I was greeted upon entering and offered a drink while I waited....which was not very long. Christina Miller cut my hair and did a great job....from the relaxing massage while getting my hair washed to the cut itself...everything was fantastic. I could not recommend a salon any higher than Indulgence and can't actually wait for my next visit. And if Christina's not available, try Ali or Caitlan...they appeared to be on top of their game and were great with the customers. I was actually down from Wilmington and heard about Indulgence...and would probably make a special trip just have them take care of me again. Great job by everyone.

What a waste of time, money and my hair color looks terrible. I couldn't see the color till I got home because the lighting is so bad. Orange and yellow color was used on my ashe blonde hair. Inexperienced colorist, that are too young to have a conversation with. Overcharged, and now it has to be redone so I have to go and pay for it to be fixed. They say on their web page: come back and we'll fix it but I wouldn't take the chance again. I trusted all these reviews but I was so wrong. I wonder if they either keep the ones they like and make up reviews to bring in clients. Beware. Beware.

In reply to their salon's comment: I just wanted to let the readers know that the orange and yellow color visible upon my return home from the salon in my mirror and subsequent shampoos haven't changed the color. I am just wearing a hat till I get it fixed.

It is not always easy to find a great salon for yourself that is also great for your kid. This is. I've been using Christina for years and I take my son when I can get him to agree to losing some Samson power. Ali did his hair recently. She reassured him and listened to what he wanted while respecting what I wanted. Long story short, he had to go back in as the cut was for ROTC, it wasn't short enough. While he was debating quiting the program, they suggested showing him a picture. It worked. He agreed to the shorter cut. His concerns were in no way diminished. I've seen them with other teens frequently. They are return clients. I've also seen them with special needs teens. They are professional, warm and welcome all family members that want to be there. There is never an attitude. I've seen them with first timers too. Remember, some of these boys have only had a hard, cold, barber shave them. Not an easy recovery. No loud razors and bullish attitudes. My kids always comment on how good the head massage feels. Most boys stopped having their heads shampooed effectively when they started bathing themselves and got modest. Moms are always happy with the cuts too. I highly recommend this salon for teens and moms. I am a loyal regular. I would change gynies before I'd switch salons... They always accommodate me for appts. They return calls promptly and stay in touch via email and phone. They are great about reminding me when I have an appt scheduled out as I'm very forgetful. I love this place!!!!

Cuts for teen boys are tricky. These gals are magicians. Chrisitine does my hair, summer color is awesome, Ali does the dude. Now, my son is a bit of a Samson. His hair is his power and aura. I said I'm tougher, hair goes. Long story short, we were both happy. Bad news, he is doing ROTC and needed it shorter. After deciding whether to quit the program, Christine got the great idea to show him a picture of the described cut. He was back in the sink and not going to therapy. He came out with a cut that didn't make him look like GI joe but jr. gi joe... They were so good with him and of course with me. It was my boys hair that was going. I've seen them do boys hair before. All ages of teens. The boys are always happy and are return clients. That speaks volumes. I've also seen them handle special needs children. They are so accommodating and professional. The famiies and many friends were involved and none got the attitude of non welcome. It is a great environment for all. I recommend this salon 100% for all family members. I would select a new gynie before I'd switch salons.... Holly

I tried this salon, and unfortunately, I did not like my experience. The staff is nice, but the woman coloring my hair left me too long to work on another client. My highlights on the top of head were too light, so when she had to ask someone else to rinse them out, she added a toner. The woman told me that a toner is normal, but I've been highlighting my hair for 8 years, and I have only gotten toner when I specifically asked for it.
The stylist cut my hair quickly, and when it came time to pay, I found out they were charging me for the toner service! I just took it out of the stylist's tip, because it was her fault that I needed it. I shouldn't have been charged.I went to a different salon the very next day, and the stylist said it barely looked like my hair was trimmed. I definitely feel like I was overcharged for an okay haircut and highlights. Try another place!

There has never been a better way to start a day than with Christina. What a pleasure to be ushered into my chair right on time. The wake me up coffee service was especially nice. I've bounced around looking for high level service for many years but now I'm home. I had more compliments on my styling in one day than all my other cuts combined. What a friendly staff and so convienent!

I have to say that I was a little nervous, I had been to more salons than I can remember looking for someone to bring back my summer blonde hair, and finally I came to Indulgence Salon and after my second trip I had my color back!! I have to say Caitlin did an amazing job, she was so wonderful I highly recommend seeing her! It's also amazing because I can get my hair done, nails, and tanning, I will be back every month!

I went in for the first time about a week ago. I was very impressed with Caitlin and really felt comfortable leaving my hair in her hands. I had a butcher job done by a salon right down the road and was not pleased. I have been looking for a new salon and this is it FOR SURE! I called in the middle of the week and had an appointment within 48 hours. This was a really nice bonus. I walked out feeling very happy about my cut and experience in general. I have already referred Indulgence to my friends and coworkers. If you are on the fence about where to go next... I hope that you will give them a shot. They are not over priced as indicated in some of the reviews. I found them to be on par with other salons in the area and are worth even more in my opinion, beacause they know what they are doing! I can't wait for my next appointment!

The salon was great! The people there are extremely nice and make the visit enjoyable! Tina gave me 3-D highlights and a hair cut and have never liked them better from anywhere else! I get complimented all the time by random people telling me how much they love my hair! Even my mom and dad love it and it is not at all their style! It is definitely worth whatever it costs to go somewhere where they will get it right! I wouldn't want to go anywhere else after this!

I am always hesitant to switch to a new salon but I was very happy with my experience at Indulgence. The salon was recommended to me by a friend, and is close to my home, so I had to check it out. Ali did my cut and color and did a great job! (And I am annoyingly picky about my color.) The price is NOT expensive (as mentioned in other reviews) if you compare it to other salons within the Charleston area. And I will be going back to Ali in 6 weeks! Loved it!

I recently went to Indulgence for the first time. I was sceptical seeing that I have gone to many other high end salons in the area before Indulgence and had my hair pretty much ruined every time. I decided to give Indulgence a try and I am so glad that I did. I saw Caitlin. She was great! The salon is so trendy and everyone is so nice and friendly. I will definately recommend Indulgence to anyon who asks.

Let me just begin by telling everyone that up until my appointment with Christina, I've had 2 stylists in all of my 26 years. Not only am I very particular, but I always try new styles, colors, etc. After moving to Charleston and realizing that I couldn't always drive to Myrtle Beach to visit my old stylist, I decided to give Christina a try thanks to all of the wonderful reviews here. I am SO glad I did! This is by far one of the very best haircuts I've ever had and the color is super fantastic as well! I like my highlights really light blond and she did a great job actually correcting the blond that was already there and doing a perfect job with the base & lowlights. I am SO happy that I am a client of Christina's now and I'll never ever go back to my old stylist! The staff was awesome as well - you can tell it is an art for all of them and not just a way to pay the bills! A+!!!

Love you Christina... I've been coming here for awhile and just got my new fall color. I'm happy as usual. I like the new staff additions too. It allowed me to get my son in with no appt. I know that won't always be the case...I like the updates and specials that come each month on email. It is great to see a salon with so much customer attention. I used the early summer spray tanning special and will use this months too. I like the chance for an instant win on the cell phone now too. Just enter by texting 2du hair to the number 39044. I have lived in Charleston and have always been to a salon downtown and hesitated to stray. I found my comparable at Indulgence. I feel more comfortable there than I did at the downtown salons that tend to feel stuffy and not completely relaxed. I met Tina and decided to give her salon and whirl and am SO happy that I found Indulgence. Everyone is so friendly, professional and talented. I feel comfortable having anyone of the girls do my hair!! Would recommend to anyone with any kind of hair for any type of service.

Of course it's expensive-- you get what you pay for. Been to the Hair Cuttery lately? I made that mistake once, and I'll never do it again. If you want a quality haircut and/or color, you're going to pay for it, and this place isn't nearly as expensive as some of the downtown salons. The best thing about Indulgence is that you get tons of talent in a laid-back atmosphere that isn't stuffy or pretentious in any way. No snobs here. Everyone is friendly and the service is terrific. All salon services are top notch, and the complimentary cocktails after a long day at the office don't hurt, either. I have really short hair, and any woman with short hair knows how incredibly difficult it can be to find someone who can cut it. Christina is fabulous and very talented, and she's particularly good with short hair. I've been her guinea pig for years-- she's always testing new styles and colors on me, and I've never been disappointed. I get compliments on my hair EVERY SINGLE DAY. Every day! There's a saying that goes "If no one compliments your hair, you've got the wrong haircut." If this describes you, go see the girls at Indulgence and they'll fix you right up. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and neither should you.

Indulgence is great. Hands down this salon is a hell of a lot better than Stella Nova or any other salon in Charleston or Mt. P. Everyone there is Awesome. Fabulous hair cuts, color and insanely crazy conversations. I mean most the stuff that comes out of my mouth probably shouldnt but its salon talk, gossip away! And who the hell is Jeffere S!! Please dont make another appointment because your sucking up my time and your comments are complete BS! Christina, Alley and Caitlin are fab;you ask for something and they deliver. In the end you will have people asking you everyday where you get your hair done. I get compliments all the time. I would never go anywhere else. You leave the salon feeling like you just had the best day with your girlfriends. Why wait, make your appointment.. you know you want to be in our club of fabulous people with fabulous hair!!!! Hurry, they get booked fast.

Why would I go anywhere else when Tina's Indulgence Salon is the best in Mt Pleasant and Charleston. The staff know you by name, everyone is professional, friendly and knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Where else would you hear about Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches if you are Irish! I've been to allot of salons since I came here and I have fallen on my feet with Indulgence, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This salon is way too pricey for the work that comes out of it. Haircut was so so, I could've done a better job myself. I guess if you aren't a big fan of paul mitchell it's not the salon for you. There's just no creative sparks comming from this place. The hair cuts, color, and the people are generic, There's way too many salons that charge the same and more are just better than others.

I have been going to Indulgence Salon for 4 years and I will NEVER go anywhere else again! I even live in Columbia, SC which is an hour and a half away and I still drive down there whenever I need my hair colored or cut! I have had so many people give me compliments on my hair, and people all the time ask me where I get my hair done and it's such a nice feeling! If you don't try out Indulgence Salon you'll never know how great you hair could look! They're amazing! Trust me!

When my regular stylist moved from the area and I started looking for a new salon, I found it diffucult to find one where I felt relaxed and comfortable. Many salons do not go to the effort to help men fit in but I like the way women's salons pamper you and am more comfortable having a female cut my hair. The staff at Indulgence makes me feel like family and I can go there trusting them to always do a good job and I always enjoy my visit. I recommend them to anyone looking for a great salon experience!

This is a great salon with lots to offer! Even my teenage sons only want to have their hair done at Indulgence due to the great head, neck an shoulder massages and of course the cool hair cuts! I recommend you treat yourself!

Coming from a male perspective, this is the first time I've ever gone into a salon. Tina's staff is so friendly and made me feel like I was a lifelong customer. Both haircuts were done by the talented Tina and both experiences were wonderful.Highly recommend to men and women alike who want a relaxed experience in a great atmosphere.

I came to Indulgence because the owner, Tina Miller, is an old friend from UNC-Wilmington. But I remain a loyal customer becuase of Caitlin's color & cut talents and because the price is right! I recommend this salon to everyone!

I mean! Is there a better salon anywhere!? I know not! Tina has been my hair guru for years now and I have to say, no one else can do hair or color like my girl! I am sadly missing the girls from indulgence here in Columbia. I have been searching for something of the same caliber here, only to be disappointed. Please, please, please go see the girls at indulgence a salon! I promise you will be glad you did!

It breaks my little ole heart to pieces because I moved back to Columbia and no longer get to regularly enjoy Tina and her kick a*# salon!! I have not been able to find another salon in Columbia that rivals Indulgence!! I have had cuts, color, and make-up done here, and everything was always wonderful!!

. . . to recommend Indulgence because I don't want them to get too busy! But honestly, Christina and her staff are wonderful. Christina took care of me for several years at another salon, but now she has her own! She is an artist and surrounds herself with talented, friendly people. I get complements on my hair frequently, and I give the credit to Christina. The decor of the salon is really interesting: modern red and white with a "hair color bar" at the center and flat-screen TVs playing (strange) short videos of someone getting her hair done. I always look forward to my appointment!
