Are you kidding me? How the hell is this place still open? This makes me sick. I see these puppies being sold on the side of the road weekly. These dogs may look healthy at first, but if one has parvo, they all do. Like a moron, I purchased a dog and it began to vomit up blood. The papers I was given were fraudulent. We live in AMERICA!!!! Places like this should be shut down! Who owns all of this? He/she must be paying off half of Miami because half of Miami most likely has purchased one of these dogs! Clearly, I am searching for justice.

The puppy that we purchased from this business quickly became part of our family, which is why we did everything to save her life when she was diagnosed with Parvo only a few days after we brought her home. Unfortunately, we found out today that she passed away in isolation at the veterinarian's office after being hospitalized for 5 days. Although we were told that she received all her shots, it is now clear that she was not properly vaccinated. Please save your family the heartbreak of losing a puppy and do not purchase animals from these people.

08/06/11 I just happen to drive by this place and when I saw the puppies being displayed out side I stopped to see them. As soon as I got close I smelled a really bad odor like dead animal, that's how the cages smelled. When I went inside I almost vomited, it smelled really bad. The puppies were being kept in rusted cages with no bedding, it looks like they don't even give them a bath. Some of the puppies were so skinny you could see their ribs and some looked sad (as in they were sad because they're sick kind of sad) and about customer service, forget about it! A guy that worked there was smoking and didn't even bother to get up, show me around, nothing. These people don't look like they even care about animals, why go on this type of business when you don't even like it?This place is a dump.

I just recently bought a puppy here and not even one week later she had to be taken to the hospital and is now in ICU! They sell sick puppies! They do NOT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS, ONLY MONEY!!! After doing some reseach (we should of done that first but you learn from your mistakes) we realized that we were never given her Bill of Health, when we went back to ask for the papers they admitted that the papers were false and refused to give us our papers that we are intiteled to! I am now working with the Sate of Fl Animal Industry, Miami-Dade county Police, and Animal Control, the more people that file a report the better!! Lets all come together and try to close this place down!! For our animals and all of the little ones that have been leff at that store!! PLEASE CONTACT ME AT anailynm@hotmail.com

i don't agree with what these people are saying. i recently got a German shepherd puppy ,3 months old at the time, 2 months ago and now he's healthy. He's the best dog i've ever gotten and i'm glad i got him at Puppy Dreams. My Dog isn't sick, yet has 2 parasites that aren't that harmful. Usually known to be in puppies who haven't been fully vaccinated so other than that he's really healthy. matter of fact, the vet was amazed at how big and healthy he is.

i agree with all the negative comments and i am not surprised. i too met eric selling puppies by 72st and 137th ave. it seems to me he brings the ones that are healthier out to catch ur attention. but when i went to see my pup she was only 2 wks old, feeding off another dog, not the mother. this bothered me but i fell in love. i discovered many liesa long the way which i called him out on but i figured if i took my pup immediately at 8 wks she wouldn't be sick. i was wrong! she had kennel cough- and still has it to this day just not as bad! and it has been almost 3 mo since she's been with me. the only person there worth talking to is Raplh! he was the only one to help me out constantly and keeps doing so!!!! he should be the one running the place, not these dog abusers. i would sugguest you do stay away from this place. i feel somewhat lucky, but i know i could've made the worst mistake ever too. if i would've listened to all the comments and gone with my gut feeling. but for me now, i feel like i rescued my puppy. i found her just in time... good luck to u all!

Hi Jackie T,
I certainly agree. I saw the shop and tears came to my eyes. I can't believe people can work there observing sick puppies. I just recently bought a puppy on SW 88th street across the shopping center of Publix. Eric is standing outside with over 9 puppies in the grass area. People driving by asking for the price of the puppies. Immediately, when I brought the puppy home she was restless I figured anxiety, but she was sick with diarrhea, etc. The vet wanted to charge me when I was told by Eric that I had a 30 day guarantee if the puppy is sick. I recently found out that a friend puppy got very ill and another puppy purchased died. I urge all viewers to notify their friends to STAY AWAY from Puppy Dreams located at 6703 SW 40th and from anyone selling dogs on the streets. It is a scam. If you love animals dearly like myself, write to the BBB and voice your concerns.....just don't talk-but do something about it. The business is not BBB accredited- log on to BBB.com and enter the name and phone number of the business. It received a rating of "F" due to complaints and not complying with the BBB. If you don't believe, log on. In addition, always log on this site if you ever have concerns about the business you are dealing with. Check out the retailers that sell animals on the BBB site before purchains a pet. There is no rating listed that I can give because it would be negative trillion stars but I was forced to select a rating so I clicked on one star which is not true at all. Make a difference in your life and help to end animal abuse. For those who claim to have a good experience please visit the shop you would think differently and maybe you were one of the lucky ones to get a healthy puppy, but I bet the ratio of that is very, very, very, low. If a puppy is sick within 14 days from time of purchase- the puppy was sick prior to sell. Generally, after two weeks if the puppy becomes ill, it is within the puppys environment.

Puppy Dreams is now Puppy Champions!!!
And they have gotten WORSE. THEY SELL SICK, DYING DOGS. I bought a "labrador retriever" (which is actually a mutt) and the poor puppy is dying in a hospital right now. The pet shop refuses to work with us, give us our money back or even help cure the puppy. These people pretended to not even know who we were 3 days after paying them $300 cash for a dog!!! Absolutely the worst place to purchase a dog! Please stay away. We have now contacted all the authorities we can think of and we too want to see them go out of business.

BEWARE - This is a buyers nightmare. A friend bought us a Yorkie not knowing about puppy mills. As soon as we got the cutie, the vet said the dog had Kennel Cough, and within a week or so, was so ill, the Vet had to take her home over night several times to watch her - the bill was $1500+- not to mention the original cost. Puppy Dreams was to look into getting us some help with the bills. That's where the "Dreams" come in.
PAPERS? Good luck - Can't get anything but lies from them. Yesterday, the Humane Society closed down a mill in Broward. If you have had a similiar problem, here is some advice:
1: Call the Humane Society 305 232 1100 and report them.
2: Call Animal control 305 884-1101 and report.
3: Crimestoppers: and refer to case 139-9358
4: Metro Dade Police 305 595 6263 and ref to SR 09-00-233555.
All persons that have complaints, you must post your problems and report this business.

I'm well aware of puppy mills and naturally weary of pet stores. However, I went into this store about 30 minutes ago and felt the immediate need to alert anyone who might wish to purchase a dog from this store. This place is absolutely disgusting and should be shut down. I wish I had taken a picture of the way the owner keeps the puppies. Most of them had little food or water, their crates were stacked on one another, feces were in their cages, and they were had no bedding. Imagine a dog being stuck inside these metal wired crates for who knows how many hours on end never being let out. All of them looked depressed and rightfully so. It was absolutely heart wrenching to see any animal kept in these kinds of conditions. I wish some animal group would come to this store and shut them down. While it was tempting to buy all of the animals there to save them from their puppy nightmare it would only allow the owner to receive his next shipment of puppy mill dogs. This store should be boycotted and forced to close!

STAY AWAY!!! At first, all of the puppies are just so cute you almost cant resist to buy one! However, I must admit that I was being ignorant when purchasing my puppy. Although he is a healthy and super fun and cute mini Yorkie now, PUPPY DREAMS has the most unqualified breeders I have ever seen. I was a first time dog buyer and did not really know what they need to give me according to the law with the puppies... Besides the fact that I later went to find out my Yorke was at least $500 overpriced, he went on to charge me for the microchip that the dog has. THAT IS ILLEGAL!!! All puppies are required to have one regardless. Then he went on to give me illegitimate papers for the dogs. I find out that they should have them from the AKC, but he gave me some from ALC or who knows what to trick me. Doesn't end there. He also told me that my dog had a long family line of pedigree dog winners. I read the fine print and it was for a MALTESE DOG!!! WHAT THE HELL.... I think that says enough for anyone!

Puppy Dream is selling puppies coming from large commercial facilities. These mass dog-breeding operations continue to thrive because they prey on unwitting consumers who are smitten by too-cute-for-words puppies in pet store windows and on fancy websites.

Several hundred thousand puppies are shipped cross-country to be sold in pet shops

Consider adoption. Adopting a dog instead of buying one is the surest way to strike a blow against puppy mills. To find the perfect match, you'll want to choose the right one for you and your lifestyle. Animal shelters have dozens of dogs, many of them purebreds, just waiting for homes. There are also breed specific rescue groups for every breed of dog, including "designer" or "hybrids" like Labradoodles and Puggles. Mixed-breed dogs also make wonderful pets

I purchased my teacup Yorkshire Terrier at Puppy Dreams. He is a very healthy puppy. He is now 8 months old, up to date with all his shots. I have yet to have a problem with him. As long as you maintain your dog as if he was your child you shouldn't have a problem! He has insurance with Banfield Hospital to help me maintain his health. These are dogs and they need to same love and attention as children. So for those of your who have problems, you need to understand that can happen at any dog shop. Theres always a chance being taken.

I definitely not agree with what this people are saying about puppy dreams, I bought a shih tzu a few weeks ago and is in really good conditions, they also gave me a guarantee just in case the puppy was sick with the first visit to the vet totally free, and all vaccinations up to date. This people that are making up all this stories are lying because by common sense all pet shops must have all the pets vaccinated if not they could get in deep trouble with the law. So please people use your brain and just experience how is it to buy a healthy puppy from PUPPY DREAMS and I guarantee that you would never regret.

PLEASE I recommend that everyone stay away from this place, PUPPY DREAMS, and any other Pet stores. This has been the most TRAGIC event of my life. As my VET said, "All those puppies have some form of illnesses." Puppy dreams should be outlawed and everyone involved with that place should be in jail for neglect.

I bought a beautiful Daschund puppy, but within a couple of days he got awfully sick with diarrhea, vomiting, he was lethargic, and wouldn??t eat. We immediately brought him to the Vet, and not only did he have a parasite, but also had STRONG PARVO... which kills puppies. It was neglect on the part of Puppy Dreams first for taking young pups away from their moms WAY too young and second because they aren't given their up to date vaccinations. Parvo does not start to show symptoms til about 7 days after contracting it, meaning our dog was sick and contracted it at the store. Who knows how many other puppies in that store are sick, since Parvo is highly contagious especially to young pups. Had he had his vaccinations he would not have contracted this awful illness. Unfortunately, this is not the worst of it... my poor puppy did not make it through despite our strong efforts (mostly because he was too young... only 2 weeks, he should have still been with his mom) but when we politely brought a letter from the Vet and asked for a refund from PUPPY DREAMS not only did they ridicule us, but also tried to offer us another puppy. NO WAY!!!! Its sad to know that in this day in age businesses can get away with this. But I promise you I'm going to fight to get Puppy Dreams and other stores like this more regulated.

I remember when I first got the puppy I wanted to contact the so called "breeders" more like shady puppy mills... the only way to access the website is if your a puppy store owner...SHADY.

WE need to Demand better treatment for these puppies. They cant keep selling puppies that are so sick, especially since its so preventable.

I urge you all to PLEASE go to a well-qualified breeder when purchasing a puppy... it may be a little more expensive, but it will save you a long-term heartache... trust me. Or opt to rescue a dog it might take a little longer, but there are so many rescue shelters, even ones with your breed of preference. Its not fair what they are doing to both us but more importantly to these poor defenseless pups. Please learn from my experience? its heart-breaking.

As for you Puppy Dreams, yes you: Joshua, Eric, Jesus and any other heartless worker/owners of this place? you should be ashamed for earning a living at the expense of poor animals? how do you sleep at night?

I??m disgusted.

I would never ever ever suggest anyone purchase a puppy from this place. I bought my chihuahua from them a month ago and he is now in critical condition due to medical history he came with. Ive now been forced to treat him with a $1500 blood transfusion and when i went to the puppy store for assistance they basically told me 'too bad lady'. I plan to put this store out of business. but more importanly save other buyers and puppies so please refrain from shopping for your next loved one there.
