I am from Bryan Texas and and my girlfriend works at Christopher's World Grille which is located in Bryan Texas. Needless to say I spent many dinners there visiting with her and friends because the food is so awesome. I am currently serving active duty in the army. I moved to Enterprise about a month ago to complete the flight school at Ft. Rucker. I heard from a friend that there was a steakhouse in Enterprise which was a shock to me. I dined there last week and to my surprise a few of the items on the menu were listed the exact same as Christophers menu in Bryan Texas, for instance the Blackened Shrimp and Crawfish Fondue, the Christophers House Filet, and the South American Marinated Beef!!!! I'm sure the owner of Christophers would not be so pleased; especially since the food did not measure up to their standards.

I just wanted to express my appreciation to the rawl's for doing such a great job, I really cant say anything negative about my dining experiences there. It is a real treat I'm an officer in the army and have traveled all over the world and love eating out with friends, and have a real appreciation for great food. believe me when i tell you this is by far the best place to eat in Enterprise, Dothan or Montgomery. the last guy's comments he must be a competitor and feeling the heat, the rawl's gets busier every time I go. so if you want a great time go to the rawl's make your own judgement, you will go back i promise.

My wife and I would go from time to time under the previous ownership. It was always wonderful.
Our last trip there was after it was taken over by the new ownership, and we had the misfortune of taking two of my bosses there. It was a disaster, the baked potatoes had been cooked so long they were nothing but grey mush. We sent them back for replacements and it took 30 minutes for them to bring us out ones that were correctly cooked. Of course by then we were either thru with our steaks or the steaks were cold. We also had to ask 3 seperate times for steak knives before they were ever presented. When I was finally brought my potato I still had a small piece of steak left and while I was putting butter on my potato she took my other plate with my steak still on it away and put it in with the other dirty dishes without even asking me if I was done with it, which I wasnt. In this place incompetence just hangs in the air like the cold stentch of death. We complained but no employee cared, we were told if we didn't like it we shouldn't have eaten any of it. We tried to find the manager but as stated in a previous post there didn't seem to be one. No one was in charge.
We will never return to the Rawls and anytime this restaurant is brought up in conversation I always let them know what will be in store for them.
Jim C & Charlie C must be employess, thats the only reason I can think of for those two reviews to be so good.
Better service can be found at Hardees, and that is no exaggeration.

3 cheers to the rawl's, my favorite place. I had eaten at the rawl's with the old ownership and with the new owners let me tell you it is like night and day the food and service is ten times better now with the new owners. At least i know it will be open not like before you never knew. I have seen alot of improvement with the new owners and now they have even started renovations. I look forward to growing with the rawl's in our community, keep up the good work I will be by for a steak real soon. THE RAWL'S ROCKS

I have read the reviews on the Rawl's resturant and dont normally do this type of thing but I had an event at the Rawl's and have dinner there often, because of the wonderful food and warm service. In my experiences I feel it my responsability to let anyone know that it is a great place for an event or just to eat out. belive me it is the best place in enterprise, and the most elegant within 100 miles. I eat out often but the Rawl's is by far my favorite. job well done Rawls.

We were interested in having my daughters wedding and reception there, I was a little leery when I learned that the event coordinator was also the bartender, food server, kitchen help. But I was willing to give it a shot since over the years We had many friends that had used the Rawls with success and no complaints. In days to follow after I had given them my $100. to reserve the date, when I'd tried to call it took forever to get in touch with them. When my future son-in-law wanted to have the rehearsals supper there as well he ran into the same problem. Phone calls were never answered, messages were never returned. When he finally did set up a time to come in he was informed by the young manager that he was too busy to return calls and he went on to make him feel like it didn't matter to him whether we used the Rawls or not. Feeling very frustrated I wrote a letter hoping they did at least answer their mail. I cancelled our plans and requested my $100. back , since they would have plenty of time to reschedule something else there.I have not heard from anyone there and they are#100. richer. All I can say is buyer beware.

The Rawls was previously managed very well and was always busy and well liked. I do not know the new owners, but I do hope they take heed of these previous reviews. The success of the previous owner doesn't translate to your success, and the people in and around Enterprise deserve better than what I have read here. I am dissapointed to hear that this restaurant is dirty and the staff is uncaring. That is not the historic Rawl's Restaurant I remember when I lived there. You get what you give, and if your staff doesn't care, then perhaps you don't either.

Having heard mixed reviews of the Rawls, I still wanted to try it for myself, as I was hoping to find a nice restaurant in Enterprise suitable for special occasions. I was very surprised to be one of only three tables on a Saturday evening. Our table was located where you could see into the bar and through the wrought iron into what was apparently the wait staff's lounge area. With so few customers you'd think the wait staff would be hovering to provide prompt service. However they took it to mean that they could lounge on couches in the bar area and chat. I actually saw our waitress READING A BOOK while lounging. This I view as a fault of management for a combination of poor training and low expectations of their servers. Our drinks were okay -- I had a Cosmo which was tasty and my husband had a rum and coke in which there was very little rum. As a result, we only had one cocktail each. Our server was almost good...she brought our salads, but no bread. We asked about the bread (specifically mentioned in the menu as served with the salad) and got the bread...no butter. We asked for the butter and received a lovely little plate with the butter in a decorative shape...nearly frozen solid. You literally could not get this butter off the plate, much less spread it. We asked her to take it back and microwave it for a minute to soften and she did. The meal was a balance of great and substandard. The lamb chops and the Rawls filet were cooked to order and very tasty. The green beans were nearly raw and overseasoned and mashed potatoes tasted suspiciously like they came from a box. As we ate we looked around the entire dining area and sort of shook our heads at the considerable money we were spending on dining in such a shabby establishment. Every table in our view was obviously unbalanced as evidenced by the assortment of items wedged under the table legs for support. Folded up napkins, coasters, and in one instance, a cloth napkin wadded up to balance the table. How on earth is that acceptable anywhere, much less in a fine dining establishment. The deciding factor in our decision to NEVER return to the Rawls was the disrespect shown to our flag. Maybe the flag of our country has no meaning to some, but to my veteran husband and I it truly does. There was our flag, still on it's pole, leaning in a corner and dragging on the floor. I asked the waitress if I could speak to a manager and received a blank look. Apparently the restaurant is owned by father/son and there is no real manager. Not exactly a surprise. I poiunted out the flag on floor and told her I thought it wrong and very disappointing. When she next walked past it she, stopped, looked at it and walked on by. All she had to do was move the flag out of customer's sight. The bathrooms were gas station quality deplorable, with the toilet paper dispenser hanging open and empty and the paper towel dispenser also empty. Shame on the Rawls for letting the facility fall into such a state. Any value the meal had was compeltely overshadowed by the untrained, iunprofessional service and the distracting state of the dining area. Would NOT recommend at all.

First off, the address is wrong on this place. It is actually inside the Rawls hotel downtown. I expected to have a nice dinner when I visited this place as the historic building was quite nice and the menu looked really great, although a little pricey. However, the service was horrible, the dishes and flatware were filthy and as I looked around, I realized the entire place was pretty shabby, run-down and really dirty. All of the food that my party tried was overpowered by too much garlic and very salty and greasy. A glance into the kitchen revealed an even worse picture which I won't describe here. The bathrooms smelled horrible and were not kept up well. All in all, it was a horrible experience which I paid a ridiculous amount of money for. A plus, however, is the great little wine shop located next door. At least they carry some decent wines unlike this restaurant's list of Yellow Tail and a few other grocery store brands marked up way above what they are worth. Stay away!!!
