I don't see the big hype when I've eaten here. The food is terribly overpriced and surprisingly average at best. The appetizers cost as much as a whole meal at better places. The menu seem huge but the menu is small and these dummies put advertisements for businesses inside. That is amazingly stupid.

Now the food here... I've been dragged here on numerous occasions and I refuse to ever go back. The cheesecake is superb and the only good thing about it. Try a piece of Godiva, it's fantastic! The price is fine for the huge slice you'll get.

The meals though, that's something very different. They spin this place like it's a privilege to be eating here. Well it's not. I had the House burger (had fillet Mignon on top) and it was not worthy at all for the expensive price attached to it ($12.95 but may be more now). I've had the Shepard's pie here and was seriously pissed off when I ate it. It was garbage. It's nothing more than a Swanson pot-pie but it was about $15. My last time here, I had another burger. It was a Big Mac type burger but it actually made me sick. I said I'd never eat a meal here again (except for cheesecake). Another time I had a chicken pasta dish and it was disgusting. How average can you get, Factory???

The waitstaff kinda sucked each time and the snotty receptionists need to let some air outta their heads.

Cheesecake gets 5 stars but I'm not going to rate this place for 5.

Cons--Menu and Price
Pros--Just one, Cheesecake

First time: ordered an appetizer and entree. Appetizer arrived AFTER the entree. I sent it back.

Second time: ordered an appetizer and entree. Appetizer arrived seconds before the entree.

Service here? Hash house level.

Pros: Generally good tasting food - at a price.

I take everyone I know to The Cheesecake Factory. I have never ordered something that I didn't like. I recommend the Orange chicken, the Fillet Mignon, or the Jamaican Black Shrimp. Some GREAT appetizers are: Buffalo Blasts, Crab Wontons, and some kind of corn cake- which is my favorite.

I have heard good things about this joint, so I thought I would try it out. It was a Friday night and the receptionist told me the wait would be 45 minutes. That was fine with me considering it was a very busy night for them. Once an hour passed, I grew a little upset. I went back up to the receptionist and asked her again, how much longer would I have to wait. She replied "10 more minutes". Then again 10 minutes passes. I asked again "15 more minutes". 15 passed. Then again "10 more" she said. 10 passed. By now you get the hang of it. The receptionist lied!!!! By the time this process was over, I waited 2 long hours. The food was nothing to brag about. However, the cheesecake was OK. Even though the 1st. 2 types I wanted they were out of. Then I asked for Carrot Cake. It was to hard and frozen to cut through though. Then I ended up with something else. (Just give me a piece of the darn cake!! I don't care how it looks!) The receptionist lied to me, I waited 2 hours and the 3 types of cheesecake I wanted, they didn't have. (I was upset)!Overall, don't go there on a Friday night. Be assertive about the waiting time and don't count on them to have your top 3 favorite cheesecakes!

Extensive menu, at least 20 different cheesecake flavors, there used to be long waits, now if you go just a little early or
a little later than typical dinner times, you can get right in. They have a full bar and great service.

In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds…
