I love it here. Best Thai in town and the people there are great.

I've been to at least 5 other Thai places in Columbus, and Pad Thai and Bangkok are so much better than the rest.

Pros: great food, great owner

Columbus is mostly a fast food town and has very few gems in terms of authentic ethnic food and variety, so when I found one I felt obliged to keep this place in business by writing this review and giving it 5 stars! This is a great place for authentic thai food. Comparable to the best thai food I have had in San Diego, San Franscisco, New Orleans, and Philly. The atmosphere is cute, the service great, and the place is clean even though located in a mini strip mall that looks like it went out of business. Wish I could move it closer to town!

I love Thai food, and have sampled dozens of restaurants around the country trying to find my favorites. Though I have one or two restaurants that I like a bit more than this one elsewhere, in Columbus, Pad Thai on Refugee is without a doubt my favorite. The Pad Kapow is excellent, and the Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups, although only in sizes large enough for two, are great (though spicier, I've found, than the food on average). The papaya salad is superb as well. The panang curry is a bit different than I'm accustomed to, though good. There is also a salad with spicy beef (I can't remember the name) that was excellent as well. I love the staff and always look forward to a meal here.

Pros: The Pad Kapow is phenominal

Cons: The area around it is sort of dumpy

Pad Thai is terrific. We recently moved to Columbus from Sydney Australia where we had to leave behind our favorite Thai Restaurant. We can happily boast we have found our 'New favorite' place to eat.
We are vegetarian and the menu kept us very happy with many options.
If you are into places that sing and dance and have cheesy decorations on the wall, stay way. This place is the real deal with authentic Thai Chefs.
I always admire a Restaurant that permits the Chefs to eat their dinner right on the table next door. Guess what they were eating....The same as us. It's got to be good!

Coming from the Northwest and being spoiled to death with great restaurants on every corner, I can not tell you how happy I was to find really really great Thai food in Columbus. I honestly thought when I moved to this city I would never find the perfect peanut sauce again. I was wrong, Phad Thai 05 has some of the best salad rolls and peanut sauce and the phad Thai is also top on my list. If you love salad the Sum Tum is some of the best I have ever experianced. The restaurant is very clean and the owners have such a great repore with every customer that comes in the door. I watched as they greeted everyone and remembered all past customers names. If you are looking for great Thai food that is made fresh to order with some of the best sticky rice that they keep bringing to the table this is the spot for lunch or dinner. The desserts are also made fresh daily and they are real thai desserts not some foo foo purchase from the local food service company .
