Licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, Debra has completed four years of study and clinical work at the New England School of Acupuncture and been awarded a Masters Degree in Acupuncture. Her studies include both Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Adding to her capacity to treat is Debra's ability to bridge Eastern Medicine with Western Medicine. She is a credentialed practitioner at Winchester Hospital and an apprentice to internationally recognized acupuncturists Kiiko Matsumoto and David Euler, who teach acupuncture to physicians at Harvard Medical School. Debra specializes in Japanese Kiiko Style Acupuncture, a gentle style of Acupuncture that translates material from the classical medical texts into a modern biomedical understanding. A better approach

I have had a very positive experience with Debra Wood. A few years ago, I went to see her with a very distressing health issue, after seeing countless M.D's for this medical condition. She told me she would let me know if after a few visits she thought she would be able to help me. After my first few appointments, I felt the first relief I had had in months, and with continued treatments, my symptoms have become much more manageable and my quality of life has been much improved.
Conventional medicine would have me take all kinds of medications to suppress the symptoms, which work quickly but ultimately cause more problems and weaken the organs. By going to acupuncture with Debra, I have been able to eliminate most of the medications; I would say a much better approach. I wish more people would have faith in alternative medicines, such as acupuncture.
Debra is very knowledgeable and committed to her profession. I have tried other acupuncturists, but have had the best relief of symptoms with her.

Treatments have alleviated almost all of my pain!

After spending over a year with chiropractors and specialists treating both back and lower abdominal pain (primarily with pain killers), I approached Debra in hopes of finding an alternative and more successful remedy. Debra has proved to be not just an acupuncturist, but an extremely thorough and knowledgeable holistic healer. She has helped me understand the complicated and integrated factors that affect my health, and treated both the root causes and symptoms of my problems. She is fun to work with, is a patient listener, and an excellent teacher and de-mystifier of the techniques and benefits of Eastern medicine. In just three months, her efforts and treatments have alleviated almost all of my previous pain!

When I began treatment with Debra, I had an open mind. I also had terrible digestive disorders. Through a regular schedule schedule of accupuncture and herbal medicine the pain and discomfort that was a daily occurance in my life, is now just a memory. Debra has a holistic and realistic and consistent approach to wellness and health. I believe her style of care allowed my body to heal itself. Accupuncture care is a commitment I made to myself to realize how well I could be. Not only did it help me, but the experience also gave me a sense of partnership with Debra, a feeling I have rarely had with ANY health care provider. This experience has dramatically changed my life. Thank you!

I know I'm in the right place

I never had acupuncture before but heard alot about it. I wasn't sure what to expect when I went in for my first appointment but was very impressed by how professional and effective my experience was. After my very first treatment my headache was gone and I slept the whole night!! I am really glad that I found Debra.
