really good prices
deeply discounted prices, but little sales assistance and large crowds depending on when you go in the course of a day. close to many businesses of lower manhattan.

The worst service in the entire world . . .
So, after being there for for 3 hours my mom and I got separated from my sister (an adult.) After an hour we asked someone to page her name over the intercom so we could find her. The staff said they couldn't because she wasn't an adult. 5 hours later, we still couldn't find her. No one would help us. I spoke to security and everything. It turns out my sister accidentally damaged something trying it on, and they called the cops. They booked her - EVERYTHING. This after she spent over a thousand dollars at the store. I spent a thousand and so did my mom. Needless to say, everything is going back. The cops tell me they hate this store, and that employees are paid 50 bucks for every person they can get arrested. Most of the charges end up getting dropped because there is no basis for the arrests (so a waste of NY tax payers' money.) What's worse is that the staff lied to us. Instead of telling us where my sister was, they lied in the end, and said "she came looking for you, got tired, and went back to the hotel." The staff definitely seem like they hate their jobs.
The point is . . . great deals. Awful service (except for a few nice people who worked there, who told us they hate their jobs.) And . . . the people are clearly underpaid, and an extra 50 bucks for getting someone in trouble comes in handy. Needless to say, these are some tourists who are never coming back - and we're gonna spread the word back home in Canada too.
Pros: cheap designer labels
Cons: awful service, bad store layout that makes u walk forever, and incompetent management

Cannot stay out of store
I shop at Century 21more than I should. I just always find great items for the home and savings on clothes and shoes for the family. Reading some of the reviews, I noticed that some shoppers appearred to have had bad experiences while shopping there. I go into Century's everyday, even if it's to look around and see what's new. Besides the excessive amount of people in the stores (that's why I prefer to go early in the morning) I have not any complaints. In fact, I would like to complement a manager by the name of Juliette Lowe. She is the manager in the mens shoes department but is always and willing to assist me with children shoes. This morning for example, I was trying to locate a missing shoe for my daughter. I asked Ms. Lowe could she assist me and she was able to find the missing shoe. I was extremely happy because not only found the missing shoe, it was on sale. She has also assisted me with purchasing shoes for my daughter in the past and/or would let me know when to come back in for more selections for new shipments would arrive. Thank you Ms. Lowe for all your assistance. I will continue to shop at Century 21.
Pros: Great clothes and savings
Cons: Store is extremely crowed at lunch and on weekends

Having some respect!
I paid a visit to the long Island Century 21 Dept store. What a horror show! I went to buy a shirt a pair of pants for my daughter and son on saturday. I felt like I was being followed all over the store. The person that was following me was security. I used to work in the NYC store so I know the procedure of what security need to be looking for in the store. Long story short! I asked the guy can I help you! He indicated to me that I looked like I was up to know good with my 2 infants kids with me. I told him to shove it up his and asked for his mananger. The manger also came over to me like she did not want to be bothered because it is time for her shift to end. So I placed all my items at the register even the things I wasn't going to buy and told them I will be right back I left my wallet in my car and I left. I will not shop there for anything again since this matter. I think Century 21 NEEDS to send there employees to HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMERS CLASS.

Worst Cutomer Service Ever!
While Century 21 has great selection, the employees who work there are the rudest I have ever encountered in a retail experience. Recently, I bought a shirt at their Brooklyn store. On the day that I went to wear it, took the tags off, put the shirt on for 5 minutes and then realized that it had a hole in it. When I went to the store to return the shirt- they accused me of lying and told me that the shirt had been worn. I said yes, it has been worn- for 5 minutes! Needless to say, they refused to allow me to exchange the shirt. It only cost me $15 dollars- but the insult to my integrity cost me a lot more. I do not enjoy shopping in a store where I am accused of lying. Furthermore, I do not recommend shopping in a store that is willing to accuse a customer of lying instead of taking responsibility for their faulty merchandise.
Do not waste your time!
Pros: good prices
Cons: rude employees, too crowded, terrible customer service

DO NOT EXPECT ANY OF THE STAFF, SUPERVISORS OR MANAGERS TO HAVE ANY REGARD FOR YOU, THE CUSTOMER.
My wife wanted to return an item and was accused of being there the day before to return the same item and was refused?!? Another member of staff then stepped in and said she also remembers her from yesterday. My wife explained she was at work all day and they continued to falsely accuse.
Needless to say this was a pretty upsetting and confrontational experience. I discourage anyone to shop there out of principal for how the staff treat customers (having also experience this type of attitude myself).
If I can't deter you from shopping there then I would advise to be extremely careful with what you buy. For the most part, the clothing is imperfect and that's why it's cheaper... for example, you wash it and the garment with discolor, the sleeves on the sweater are freakishly long or body too short. Many of the ties have 'pulls' in the material, or the pattern is not symmetrical etc.
Pros: Very Occasional Decent Bargain
Cons: Crowds, Too much rubbish to sift through, The staff are the worst.
