Owned and operated by the Connecticut Conference of the United Church of Christ, Silver Lake is the best place on Earth. Faith, Friends and Fun are three words I would use to explain it. It is a great place to send your kids for a week of summer camp or to gather for a weekend retreat in the off-season. The atmosphere and surroundings are absoluting astounding at every time of the year; being set in the foothills of the Berkshires of Litchfield County. The staff is top of the line, the food is terriffic and healthy. The winterized cabins are not 5 star accomodations, but as far as camp cabins go they are fantastic. It's a place to grow closer to God, make new friends and experince the outdoors. Kids and adults alike are encouraged to be who they are and are asked to do 3 things: Love God, Love your neighbor and Love yourself.

Wonderful UCC Camp retreat! My brother and I started going in the 70's, the camp really hasn't changed much. Some of the cabins are new or remodled, but basically the traditions and "once -in-a-lifetime" experiences are the same. My children have been going since 4th grade, have met some great friends, had some great experiences and look forward to going back every summer, Maple sugaring weekends and Christmas Weekends.
