I had taken my cat, as well as various foster cats, to Value Vet for the last couple of years. With three locations and centralized computer records, it was easy to get an appointment within a day or two. They were fine with providing basic care, such as check-ups and shots. However, when my FeLV+ cat got sick, the vet took a very hands-off approach, prescribing her different rounds of antibiotics without providing even the most basic exam. When the antibiotics didn't help, he referred us to a specialist to have a feeding tube put in and to have some very invasive diagnostic work done. I consulted a different vet for a second opinion before taking these drastic steps and learned that the leukemia had attacked my cat's lungs and liver and that she was likely suffering and in a lot of pain. She had to be put to sleep the following day. Because of the very poor care provided at Value Vet, my cat suffered quite unnecessarily through her last days. If you want a vet who cares about your pet as much as you do, please seek care elsewhere...Value Vet is not the place.

Pros: easy to make appointment, fine for basic care

Cons: lack of knowledge of treating special needs pets

This a very clean clinic and has no offensive odors at all. All of the technicians are very sweet and helpful. They really make you feel welcome. The Vet that I saw was very competent and informative. The prices that they charge are very reasonable. My family and I love this clinic and everything about it!

We've been going to Value Vet for our dogs for the past three years and we're very happy with the services we've received. It can be hard to get an appointment nowadays, BUT they also have a lot more locations than they use to.

They have been able to get us in twice for emergency-type situations saving us from having to visit an emergency vet, so they are good about that. In one of those situations the vet that helped us had us call him a week after we started antibiotics on one of our dogs to let him know how she was to see if she needed a biopsy. Turned out the antibiotics were helping and I told him that on the phone. He asked me to finish up her antibiotics and to call him when they were done (about another weeks worth) to let him know again. I did and he left notes in her file. So while you might not see the same vet when you go in every time they do really want to work with you to make your dog better and do what they can to help.

The staff is very friendly and very good at handling our dogs, even when they're either kinda mean or kinda scared. I've recommended Value Vet to a lot of my friends and family and those that have gone have been really happy with the care their pets received.

I have taken both my 2 dogs and my cat to the clinic in Inglewood on Gallatin Rd for the last 3 years. They are always very helpful when setting appointments, are very caring and professional. We've had only good experiences with this location and do recommend them to all pet owners we meet.

I am not sure who is leaving these great reviews for value vet maybe it's the employees but this place is not a value and there employees could care less about the customer. I have taken my dogs there 3 times and today was the last.I took my dog there today because he had hurt his leg and was limping, the parking lot had 2 cars in it and there was nobody in the waiting romm but a kid,I walked in and got an immediate odd look from the lady working there, she ask could she help me and I explained my dog was hurt she said sorry we only work on appointments,I told her they wouldn't be getting any more money from me.I drove a couple of miles to another vet and they helped my dog. This is insane and I hope everyone will check there prices and I believe you will find this place is no value at all

Over the last couple of years, I have taken no less than 50 cats (pets and ferals) to Dr. Watts and both clinics (Nolensville Rd and Gallatin Pk locations) for exams, spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and more. They are loving, caring, professional and inexpensive. I will NOT take my pets to any other vet or clinic!

Fantastic employees, clean and colorful clinics are just some of the reasons this vet and clinics are SECOND TO NONE! You have to bring your pets here. NOBODY DOES IT BETTER!!
