I went to JJ's for the first time today and I was really dissapointed. It's lame that there is no variety of bread. You just get stuck with white bread. The bread was sort of hard too. There was way too much lunch meat on it. I don't want to get skimped but this was ridiculous. Everything kept sliding out of the sandwich. I tried to push it back in but that didn't work. Then I tried ripping off bits of excess meat but it just wouldn't stop coming! It was a slippery sloppy sandwich that repulsed me. I ate a little more than half of it and gave up. The customer service there was sort of questionable as well. They weren't the most friendly crew around. That makes sense given the atmosphere of the place. There was a poster on the wall right next to my face that contained these "JImmy John's I Believe" statements. These ranged from realist/cynical to pessimistic murphy's law type stuff to almost nihilistic sounding mantras. It's not something I want to see at a business open to the public. Remember their supposed to be satisfying customers. For a not so "gourmet" (read bad) sandwich it was way too expensive as well. The thing costed over six dollars. It was a waste of money and my girlfriend felt really bad that she took me there and I didn't like it. Now I feel guilty. Jimmy John's has ruined my day. I will not be going there again. For the record, several employees mess with the food if they percieve you as being rude or if you don't tip them adequately. You may ask then why I went there knowing this or how I know this. I know this is true because one of the workers, who was there today, told me this. He is an aquantance but more of a friend's friend. Since I knew him I figured he wouldn't mess with my food plus I could watch them. I urge you to NOT order delivery from there as the employees might spit into your food. Out of all the sandwich places in Woodstock I find Subway to be the best bar none.
