      <title>1 Stars:  Salermo Furniture Unlimited are THIEVES (by Miriam M.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;I wish I would have read this before 8/20/09 - the day I ordered a TV stand/entertainment center.  They told me I wouldn't get it until November.  Since I was in no big rush I decided to wait.  November came &amp;amp; I called them the first week of Nov.  They told me the furniture was been delivered to their warehouse on 11/19 &amp;amp; that on the next day it will be delivered to me &amp;amp; that they will call the day before to give me a timeframe.  11/19 came &amp;amp; I didn't get any call so I decided to call them, Their phone was disconnected.  I then contacted the Better Business Bureau &amp;amp; filed a complaint on line.  A couple of days letter I received a letter from U.S. Bankruptcy Court letting me know that they filed for bankruptcy a couple of days before my delivery date.  I called the court appointed law firm &amp;amp; they told me that most likely noone will get their money back because Salermo Furniture has no assets or money.  I paid the total price including delivery at the time that I placed the order $708.00.  The name &amp;quot;Salermo&amp;quot; is very know in Elizabeth, NJ - they are all family &amp;amp; own different business such as jewelry store, insurance, realtors, towing &amp;amp; maybe a few more that I'm forgetting, they have been in business for 40 years or more.  The owner of the furniture store is a thief &amp;amp; their workers are thieves as well.  Do yourself a favor do not buy from any Salermos......this will teach them a lesson.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  Salermo Furniture Unlimited is a HUGE SCAM AND THIEVES (by m g.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;What a rip off.... I placed an order on 09/04/2009, guess what before I found this website, which I wish I did see it...  Guess what? I got myself into a loan of $6,100. and no furniture to show for it...... The bank is making me pay off the loan but where the hell is my furniture.... I have my two boys on the floor and my two girls on the floor as well....  no sofa set to sit on and watch TV.......   Now what....  they screwed me over lovely..... i AM SO PISSED. I want my Fu*ing furniture.....&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  Salermo Furniture Unlimited is A RIP OFF! (by Nicole E.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Do not buy anything from this damn store!  My mom purchased a table on October 31, 2009 and the sales guy told her the table will be delivered in two weeks and here we are three weeks later and no table.  My mom called the store and was told that they are waiting for a truck and that is the last we heard from them.  Then a couple of days later I tried to call the store as well as my mom and the number is disconnected.  On November 18th we went to the store at about 8:00pm and it was closed it looked like it was open but no one was in there.  I wish I would have read all these reviews before my mom bought anything from them.  To make it bad she opened up a card with them and financed the table and she has nothing.  If she does not receive her table by next week she will be suing the store.  STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!  IT IS A RIP OFF!  THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  Salermo Furniture Unlimited is not a great place to shop for furniture (by Murali S.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;I was supposed to have gotten my stuff last tuesday; they did not call and when I called, they said that I had a balance payment to make. (they were supposed to call for that but did not). Anyways, I paid the balance and they said they will deliver on the next tuesday; they did not give me a time window until I called. They then said between 4 pm to 8 pm. On request, they said they will come after 6 PM. So far, ok; at 5:50, there was a voice message - saying that the truck is stuck and my new window is Wednesday 12 pm to 3 pm (never mind if that does not work for you). I thought 'ok', I made myself available; Wednesday 3 pm comes and goes; I call to find out the status - SURPRISE, the number is 'temporarily disconnected'; I tried the fax number, same thing - temporarily disconnected; I tried the warehouse number - it has changed to a 'new' number - the showroom number (which, again, is temporarily disconnected). 
&lt;br /&gt;it's been more than 24 hours now and I have no news about my delivery or the company status. I had reservations going there in the first place but then, I guess the 'better cost' was my reason for placing an order. Apparently, that's how the get first time customers (who probably never go back - based on the other reviews in this site). 
&lt;br /&gt;People who are reading this before you go, my recommendation - don't go - it is not worth the bad taste after you've placed an order; I hope I don't get socked with any issues with them; Manny is not the friendliest person to deal with. (his tone gets sharp easily, not very pleasant).&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  Worst Furniture Store!! Dont Buy from them! Liars! (by Yvonne A.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;I agree with all of these reviews. I bought a bedroom set for my daughter and its going on a year and i still don't have the whole set. I called and called and they lie and never get back to me. Gabby is no help. I'm taking this company to Small Claims court on July 14Th. I need all the support I can get. If you can contact me at alvr268@aol.com i would appreciate it. We can help each other out so that they cant get away with this anymore and still peoples money.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>4 Stars:  Runnnnnn don't buy from Salermo! (by Inesha M.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;February 12, 2009 I purchased a headboard only and never get to talk to any one about the promise they made of it being available in a week. I didn't get to speak with Manny ever, they say he's in a meeting. Gabby is nice but don't know what to do either. Don't go through the stress. Don't buy from them they will say it is Ashley's fault for the holdup, but it's theirs. The cops won't help me they say go to civil court. Good luck if you waste your time &amp;amp; money!&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  furniture not delivered and will not.. (by anil k.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;think ten times before you buy furniture from this store, they will not deliver for several several weeks and you have to make several phone calls, they basically say your items came but some more to come for final delivery, just lying and taking time, you will not get the furniture and loose your money, they will ask for 30% restock fees although they do not have anything in stock and everything from Ashley and not yet delivered&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  SALERMO FURNITURE - WORST COMPANY EVER (by David W.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;My wife and I have been waiting for 3 months on our furniture and to make matters worse the entire staff are horrible and rude and they lie so much. Even though we still haven't gotten our furniture the manager still persist on holding us to a 30 % cancellation fee. Oh Yeah there is no refund policy. Most of their furniture comes from Ashley's Furniture, you are better off buying there. I have contacted the better business, help me Howard, and I am contacting an attorney. Really think about it before buyingGood Luck&lt;/p&gt;</description>
