I have always had a difficult time finding a stylist who could provide my curly hair with a cut that grows well or highlights that look natural. This has been a difficulty even at salons that cater to curly hair. Arthur has been providing haircuts and highlights for me for about eight months. I have never felt as good about my hair and have never received so many compliments on it. Thanks .

I went to AR HAIR SALON to color my hair from blonde to brown. Michelle, my stylist, did an amazing job! I was very nervous about the change, but it turned out great! I was very happy with the result and will definitely be going back. The atmosphere was also very friendly, and whole experience was positive. Take advantage of their citysearch discounts

i was tired of my hair and wanted a fresh spring look ...since i am new to the area, i had to do some research to make sure i don't end up disappointed..well i looked on citysearch and saw that this AR salon had all those great reviews...i jotted down some stylist names mentioned the most and called to make an appointment..when Arthur answered the phone and said he had an opening i was thrilled since i read all sorts of great things about him..well lets just say im happy with my decision..he sat down with me..listened to my ideas and then gave me his recommendation..i went with it and my hair turned out great..the highlights and the cut are gorgeous and the complementary glass of wine was a nice touch..plus the 10% citysearch discount!

Ugh. I would give this place ZERO stars if i could.
So i booked an appointment for a single process color here after reading some positive reviews here and finding a deal on life-book. I should have know better when i walked in and the salon was DESERTED. I was the only client in there...and its a big space... I was seeing Rebbecca, who was very sweet and took my coat for me...that was the last nice thing that happened while i was there.
After i sat in her chair, i told her i just needed my roots touched up...i have had my hair the same shade of chocolate brown for about 5 years and I'm really happy with it. She proceeds to tell me that it is much too dark and ACCENTS the dark circles under my eyes and brings out the redness in my complexion too much. HEY LADY, THANKS FOR MAKING ME FEEL GREAT ABOUT MYSELF. she then tried to convince me to get a full head of highlights. NO, I SAID I JUST NEEDED MY ROOTS TOUCHED UP, THANKS.
so after much back and forth, she finally agrees and applies the color to my head. Half way through the processing, i notice my roots are MAGENTA. she notices too and without a word, slops another color on over it.
She then washes my hair with scalding water and brings me back to the chair to inspect the color. It seems MEH to me, but whatever...you get what you pay for.. so i go home, and in natural light, realize to my horror that my roots are in fact, STILL MAGENTA. I called the salon back, and told the receptionist that in this light, i was no longer happy. He was very polite and told me to come back whenever and they would fix it free of charge.
The next morning, i walked into the salon and attempted to explain the situation to the man at the front desk...appears he was the manager. I was halfway through explaining it when he cut in and basically told me i was lying and that he had spoken to Rebecca and she said, she told me she needed to fix it while i was still at the salon the day before!!! Actually, what she had said to me was, "it looks so good, you are going to love it" NOT "oh man, i screwed up. lets fix it ASAP"
i tried to tell the manager this, but he refused to listen and told me he would "take care of me this time, but in the future i should just listen to the stylist the first place" The attitude he took with me was appalling. I worked in an upscale hair salon for 5 years when i lived in Boston and WOULD NEVER HAVE TREATED A CUSTOMER THIS WAY. I was so disgusted with his behavior that i decided i would rather have to pay someone else to fix my hair than let this arrogant, sub par stylist touch me again. I have never in my life felt so unwelcome in a place where i am A PAYING CLIENT.
If you expect professionalism, courtesy, and skill in a salon then i would strongly suggest you stay away from AR salon.
Also, everyone there REEKS of cigarettes. not cool when they are working in close quarters and breathing in your face. Get some gum, okay?

I just happened to wander into this place about a year ago and, randomly, was given probably the most attractive hair stylist in the City. And if that weren't good enough, she did an amazing job cutting my hair. Now I live 4 hours away, but I still come back once a month for my haircut with Michelle.

I enjoyed it, great hair style and service. I expected champagne (as many customers claimed in reviews) but I was not offered. It was a quick hair cut but it looks nice and the stylist who I think was Arthur, was really nice and had great taste.

I learned what loving my hair could feel like in 2005 after my first cut at AR Hair. From the massaging shampoo to the quality and consistency of Roger's cuts, to the friendly people, to the right price, this is my salon, home away from home. I am complemented weekly on the beautiful layering of my hair cuts (so good, I can go 3 months without a cut and it grows but stays gorgeous). AR makes my affordable, but chic lifestyle possible. My best friend referred me to AR salon and told me to ask for Mark. She completely fell in love with him.
So I decided to give it a try. When i walked in I was surprised to see a young hairstylist.
Mark was very sweet to me he hanged my coat and asked if i would like to drink anything before we begin. He was very professional while at the same time maintained his warm personality, making me feel comfortable and right at home in his chair. He listened to what I wanted, and also offered many helpful and creative suggestions. His haircuts were clean and flawless and his coloring was to perfection, leaving me with a vibrant and beautiful finish.
I just loved Mark and the terrific staff at the salon. Very welcoming and peaceful.
The salon is in a great location, very easy to get to and is everything you would expect for the money that you pay, definitely worth it!

I read reviews on here and on yelp before I went to AR and despite the good reviews, I was still skeptical....I always am.....and I felt that way even when I walked into my appointment yesterday. I went to the location on W 23rd street and it was just a small place ...nothing too fancy.

But the moment I walked in, the assistant took my coat and offered me some wine (which I thought was pretty awesome)....I had an appointment with Roger, and sure enough, he lives up to his good reviews. He sat and talked to me for 10-15 mins about what we should do, what I wanted, etc. It was nice because he gave some suggestions too and was kind of able to help me figure out what I wanted even though I couldn't articulate myself very well.

What was even better was that we were chatting the entire time, he would joke around and it made the whole experience so fun and relaxing. Roger is really good at what he does...he's been cutting hair for a long time, and its obvious because he really knows what he is doing. After giving a beautiful cut, he blew it out and straightened it..

To top it off, he gave me the 10% citysearch discount and he said if I ever needed a trim on the bangs, to stop by and that he'd take of it for free.

All in all, a great experience....definitely worth checking out!

Dozens of hairdressers have cut my hair, and Roger is the best. I have short hair that is hard to cut and he does an excellent job everytime. Roger also does great highlights. He is personable, and the price is very reasonable.

I found AR by walking one day around my job, and to be honest, it could have never been better. I was a little worried the first time I went because I have a very thick wavy short hair. I saw Albert first, gave me an excellent blow-dry. Then on my second visit I had Natalie as a hairdresser, who unfortunately does not work there anymore, and she gave me the most beutiful highlights ever. Natalie blow-dry my hair and like she said at the end "I looked like Victoria Beckham"... They are awesome, I will never change them for anything. I love the way they do my hair and the prices are average compared it to other hair salons in the city. If you would like to have top of the line hairdress, I strongly recommend you to give them a visit.

Like one of the other reviewers, don't get the hype of the salon. It's just average to me. And as a caveat, be wary of the 10% new client discount. It's simply a bait. I was told that my price surpassed the discount rate but for all I know, the stylist can claim whatever price. I thought the cut was overpriced to begin with during the consultation but thought that it would be amazing from all the raving reviews. I was wrong. For the record, the 10% discount wasn't even applied-- false advertising?

I just visited the salon yesterday for the first time. I wasn't sure what I wanted, just that I wanted side bangs and a short trim. I was actually frightened because Natalie was cutting off a good portion of my hair and it ended up a lot shorter than I expected. But they are professionals and they really do know what is best. I love this shorter do with side bangs. It looks great and it really fits me. On top of that, it's much more manageable which is important to me. I do recommend this place to anyone looking to try something new. I think to those people who did give it poor ratings, they should have been more vocal about what they wanted. I was worried about my short hair but I wanted to really try something new. And I love it. I also saw another woman have her hair colored and she looked wonderful as well. :)

AFTER HEARING GOOD THINGS ABOUT AR HAIRSALON FROM FRIENDS I DECIDED TO GO CHECK IT OUT. I GOT A COLOR,CUT AND STYLE AND IT TURNED AMAZING. THE STYLIST TOOK TIME TO DISCUSS WHAT COLOR WOULD LOOK BEST ON ME AND EVEN SHOWED ME PICTURES OF HAIRCUTS THAT WOULD SUIT ME. OVERALL IT WAS RELAXING EXPERIENCE. A neighborhood salon with results that exceed many of the high-end NY salons. The entire staff is incredibly personable, warm, & funny. I have been going to the salon for over two years and have been with a few different stylists.On my last visit to AR HAIRSALON I was very honored to have ARTHUR cut, color, and style my hair. As soon as I sat in ARTHURS chair, he helped me decide what cut and color would best suit not only my face, but my care-free personality. I love that he took the time to help me find the best solution to make me as beautiful as possible. He truly cared about me; I wasn't just another cut and color. One more bonus, I LOVED THE RESULTS!!! I left feeling confident and beautiful. When I started work the next Monday, I was showered with compliments. Everyone had to know where I got my hair done. I felt awesome! Thanks ARTHURfor giving me such a wonderful experience. I can't wait for my next appointment!

I moved here from London 4 weeks ago and needed a hair cut. I found AR Hair Salon through City Search and I have to say it's the best hair cut I have ever had. Natalie is a true artist at work - she did exactly what I asked her and more, making my usually disastrous hair look fantastic. It's such a good cut that I can get out of bed in the mornings and it looks like I've just stepped out of the stylist! She also suggested I changed the colour - with no pressure, which I did two weeks later and I'm so pleased with it. Natalie is fantastic and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed . I will be going back there before my colour grows out and It's once again uncontrollable.

I recently moved to New York from Pennsylvania and was in desperate need of color and a cut! After many disastrous trips to different salons I FINALLY FOUND THE ONE! When I came into AR hair salon I didn?t know what to expect. The receptionist was very polite and took me in even though I didn?t have an appointment. She introduced me to my stylist and offered me a glass of wine. I explained to the stylist exactly what I wanted. He discussed different colors that would work with my face and I told him I needed a change. He picked out a gorgeous color for me and added highlights. We later discussed in detail how he was going to cut my hair. Their assistant Anna gives a wonderful scalp massage while washing the hair. Truly relaxing experience! I also got a brazilin wax there. After the color and cut, I presented them the 10% discount which I printed from city search; they gladly took it and later on sent me a thank you email for coming! I left the salon looking and feeling fabulous. The salon itself has a modern, hip theme from the music to the hairstylists. I truly recommend this salon. Their staff is very polite and makes you feel at home. Also affordable.

Two words: See natalie! Natalie has given me the best cut & color I've ever gotten. Really. Ever. In my whole life. I rarely go a week without having at least one person comment on how great my hair color looks. Not only a genius with color, SHE also a wonder at creating real texture and shape and movement with my difficult-to-manage hair. (Once I unexpectedly had to go 12 weeks rather than the standard 8 without a cut, and my haircut *still* held it's shape. Now that's a good cut. Anyhow, she's really great: talented, smart, funny, and she really listens and responds to *your* requests and ideas. I live in terror that one day she might move to another city! And, yeah, I realize this sounds too good to be true, but I promise it isn't. She's that good. Go see her--you won't be disappointed.

Let me preface this by saying I am a "hair snob" and incredibly picky. When I want something complex done (a tricky cut, coloring, a truly good blowdry), I need to go to a place that is modern, chic, upscale and QUALITY. I will not trust just anyone. This place met all my expectations! I just moved here recently and needed a new salon, and a good one, because I wanted to have some drastic changes done. I came here because of the great reviews and I was not disappointed! I was going from long, layered colored hair (that hadn't been cut in a long time, and is so thick that it's often dofficult to cut right) to a short angled, layered bob with a new base color and auburn highlights. Yes, complicated! Albert took care of me and did everything PERFECT. The color is absolutely amazing . And the cut was also perfect; Albert listened to me, and when I was adamant about not going too short, he left it the exact length that I wanted, even though he thought a bit shorter would be best (he was right, by the way!). Going further, he gave me the best blowdry I've ever gotten. He is so good that he didn't even have to use the flat iron to polish off my hair. Also, the salon is decorated very chic, and the customer service is excellent; they offered me a glass of wine, as well, which I think is a must for any nice salon.

I have been to some of the most famous hair stylists in NYC and I have to say that Albert gives far and away the best hair cut I have ever had?ever. He is truly gifted and simply the loveliest man to boot. I have gone to him for 2 years and he never ceases to amaze me with how wonderful he makes me and everyone else look. The salon is a great place to kick back and relax. The vibe is high energy and upbeat without being frenetic, like many salons and everyone who works there is really nice. ANNA gives wonderful shampoos . You are definitely missing out if you don't put your head in ALBERTS hands.

I finally decided to cut my hair and scheduled a cut with Athur yesterday. he's amazing! I'm definitely a fan.

I knew we were off to a good start right away. My hair was long (to the middle of my back) and I was looking for chin-length or above - a pretty drastic change, so I came in with a photo of what I was looking for. But, I wanted a second opinion on whether the style would suit the shape of my face, how hard it would be to maintain, etc. I half-expected a "Uh huh, ya, I'm sure that would look good!" which is how other stylists have responded when I've tried this approach in the past.

Arthur however, took the time to break it all down for me, suggesting slight variations given the amount of time I'm (not) willing to spend styling it in the morning, as well as to avoid the effect of making my face look too round. So we went for it.

First came the head massage. Aaaaah. Then the shampoo, and then the cut. I was really happy with the amount of time that he spent on the cut: he got quick hands but he also very precise - not too fast, not too slow. And he was so friendly that the time just kind of flew by anyway. I was also very appreciative of the fact that although we were almost done by the time his next appointment got there, he didn't rush to get me out of the chair or anything like that.

The result was awesome! I've gotten my hair chopped to a bob a couple of times before, but this is the most pleased I've been with both the cut and the way he styled it for me at the end. It's clean, perfectly layered, and stylish. I haven't tried styling it yet myself but it looks like it should be pretty easy to do given the layers and shape.

I was bummed that I declined the cofee , since apparently they have "the good stuff" so I'll have to try it next time. But, great stylist, great salon, well-priced, and everyone including the other customers were friendly. Five stars! Thanks !!!!

The salon I normally go to is great in giving me what I ask for, but has never really provided much in the way of advice or suggestion for a new cut/style. So when 2 friends had recommended AR for exactly that reason, I went running. When I walked in I flat out told "Arthur" that I wanted a short chin-length type cut, but that within that one guideline could he suggest what style might look best with my features. (meaning-bangs? layers? etc.) I brought 3 pictures of what I liked which I showed him--one of which was even a "virtual makeover" shot using my own face, and ALL were short cuts. But he insisted that I keep it long, and that no short cut will look right with my features. I nearly walked out at that point since he was clearly not understanding what I was asking him, or perhaps he is only knowledgable about long hair (though if that's the case I can't believe he is doing hair professionally). But he somehow talked me into trusting his "expert" advice. Actually, it was more like he nearly mocked me, making me feel like I was afraid to try something new. So, I suppose it's my fault for not sticking to my instincts and ultimately trusting this man's personal sense of what is stylish--but he ended up giving me a mullet more or less! I'm the type who tries to be open to everything, so I left wrongly convinced this new style was just different and would grow on me. However every time I caught a glimpse of myself in a store window that afternoon, I nearly cried of embarrassment. I ended up going to a SUPERCUTS later that day to have them try fix what Arthur screwed up!! After all was said and done, I ended up paying nearly $125 dollars for something that I cannot wait to grow out and have re-cut back at my tried-and-true HairMates asap. I realize it's my fault for taking someone's advice, but when that person is supposedly an experienced professional, shouldn't you be able to assume their "expertise" is safe to trust? Sadly-not in the case of Arthur and AR Salon.

I went to Mishell for a hair cut and had a great experience. She took the time to discuss my hair with me and was constructive without being pushy. She was also willing to answer my questions about when the right time to start dying my hair to cover the grey is (even though I was just in for a cut) and gave her professional opinion without trying to sell any services (and in fact said i could probably hold off coloring it for a while). The salon itself is hip without being pretentious--cool, "industrial" ceilings and an energetic vibe. I've been to more expensive places in the city and find AR HAIR SALON to be higher quality and more comfortable.

I found this salon right here on city search. And despite the potentially mediocre service some of the past responsces from city seach recieved, I gave it a shot and I am SO GLAD I did. Not only could I make a same day appointment on a sunday, I found a stylist who asked what I wanted and also made great suggestions and gave ideas to bring what I wanted to life in a great haircut. I have very thick bust length hair and its hard to maintain the gorgeous length being so thick, yet i'm always afraid of layers. Rodger helped me get the perfect shape asking me how do I wear it normally and what do I want my hair to do. He also blowed it out with a round brush that looked so fabulous I wished I could take him home with me to style it like that everyday. And it was affirmed by many a head turned on the street and all my friends that evening telling me how great my hair looked.
I must admit he was running behind but he was very apologetic and kept asking if I would like a glass of wine or anything to drink and took very good care of me when it was my turn in the chair. And I personally would rather he take his time and do a great job than rush through and not give each client the cut and style they deserve. The receptionists personality left something to be desired in comparison to the rest of the staff. I definitly recommend Rodger at AR and will be returning.

The single worst haircut I've ever had in my life. I showed the stylist, Natalie, a picture of my hair from my last cut exactly how I wanted. When I asked her if she wanted to keep it out as a reference she replied "I don't need it". She proceeded to cut my hair far too short and not in the style at all of how I asked for, or in the picture I showed her. Normally I like my hair to be trimmed and thinned, she chopped it all off and left it quite thick. I look like a marine. This is awful -- I work as a professional actor and now I look nothing like my headshots. She cut it to an awful length that is too short to play with, but just long enough to look absolutely ridiculous.

To be fair, the person in charge saw my haircut and quickly offered to let me go without paying. So, in that regard, well done.

But I cannot recommend this place, and I certainly would say avoid Natalie like the plague. The single worst haircut of my life, and it will cost me lots of work and ridicule.

I chose this salon based on some very positive city search reviews. I had been looking for a new salon after moving outside the city and was very excited to try AR. To start with, the male receptionist couldn't find my reservation (that I had made a week earlier) and never even cracked a smile. No refreshment was offered to me while I waited in the empty salon, either. Then the receptionist offered to wash my hair, BEFORE the stylist and I had even chatted about what he was going to do. I saw Arthur, whom I had read great reviews about. He offered no ideas or suggestions as to a new style. The shampooing was not the relaxing experience one looks forward to and I left with an uneven style. The one positive note was that the salon is very affordable, but I recommend you know exactly what you want, as no creative or enthusiastic opinions will be offered.

The prices are much more reasonable for those of us who can't afford the big NY salon prices, and they do all kinds of services. I regularly get my eyebrows done there too and I am always satisfied. I went to see Arthur based on the reviews on this website. I have long curly hair, and Arthur gave me long layers and two-tonal highlights that turned out beautifully. I thought the price was reasonable, and the place itself professional and relaxed. I'll come back.

was on a lunch break and spotted a girl walking down the street with what i can only describe as the most beautiful hair i had ever seen. I literally stopped her and asked her who cuts her hair and she said Albert @ AR hair salon . The very next day i made an appt. I was nervous; I have extremely curly hair that i stopped relaxing two years ago after decades of relaxing and i had yet to find a stylist who knew what to do with it. I had an unimpressive experience so i was a bit worried - until i started speaking with Albert . He is knowledgable,supportive and AMAZINGLY TALENTED. He gave me the best haircut i have EVER had. I have never written a review for anything but I just have to let the world know what an amazing stylist this guy is. My hair looks great whether i wear it curly or straight. I truly love it. I have found the holy grail of salons.

Go to this salon RIGHT NOW!. You will look great, guaranteed. ARTHUR will make your hair color look fantastic and will take years off your age. Plus, he's funny and a pleasure to talk with.he will give you a great cut and make you feel ready to tackle the hippest clubs. Your style and color will last a very long time (months) and you will probably go back to the salon sooner than your look requires, simply because you miss the atmosphere. After trying 4 different high end salons in the city, I finally found AR hair salon . Arthur did my highlights and cut, were incredible. I get my hair done quite often without people noticing too much, but after this I had complements for weeks. Its been 8 weeks and my highlights still look great somehow! I've found my salon for sure! I HIGHLY recommend them.

I made a terrible mistake: in attempting to color my hair on my own, I turned it maroon instead of strawberry blond. I had a consultation with Arthur and made an appointment. My first visit, I was highly impressed with the friendly and knowlegable staff: he attempted to fix my hair. he did everything he could,in the end I was satisfied. Arthur spent 2 hours working on my hair (gratis!) until it was the perfect shade of strawberry blond that I've been coveting for years. I've FINALLY found "my" salon after being in NY for 2 years and trying every high-end salon in town. Bottom line: RUN RUN AND RUN to AR HAIR SALON .

I have been looking forever for a stylist who will listen to me, give me great recommendations, and teach me how to do my hair after I leave. I have finally found him!! Roger did everything you expect from a top notch salon. In addition to the great work Roger did with my hair, the prices were fair, everyone else at the salon is so friendly, and the overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend and will never go anywhere else again.

This was the first time I've had my haircut by Roger. My hair is difficult, so I usually give stylists extensive instructions in order to avoid disaster. Roger quickly figured out how to deal with my hair and he gave me a great hair cut! I'll definitely make another appointment!

When, several days after a haircut, I can style it and look as good as I did when I left the salon, I consider that the sign of a great haircut. That is what I got at AR. When I walked through the door, Roger sat me down for a consultation. He really listened when I told him what I wanted to do (a single process and take off an inch or so) and then suggested some highlights as my hair would have nice color but would look "flat". I don't always go for the highlights because I usually want to get in and out of a salon ASAP. However, aside from the great reviews I had read on Citysearch, I had a gut feeling Roger would do the right thing. I am glad I went with my gut feeling. First of all, the highlights are subtle, so they look natural. And the haircut is unbelievable. As I stated earlier, I can style almost exactly as he had. I also had a manicure and eyebrow threading ( first time for that one) while my hair was processing. I left there feeling like a million bucks and I still do.

Let me start by saying that I used to color my own hair - or let friends color it for me. Bad idea. Then I went to Aveda for a few years and that was bad too. ARTHUR was reccommended to be my a friend and thank God!!! he gave me amazing natural and sassy color. It's so great and healthly looking now. Now no one says to me "your hair looks like BLOND in the bad way" True quote. The salon itself if really relaxing - it's just such a pleasant experience all around. I can not reccommend this place enough. I've gotten two haircuts here from different people, and they were both good (for curly hair - I was pleased) but my out and out love is ARTHUR - the amazing colorist... the hair repair God! I feel like I get a makeover each time I go. Also - they're not trying to get you to buy a ton of product

If you want someone who will really listen to what you want, you should go no further. Before going to AR HAIR SALON , I had been going to a stylist for years who did a competent job with my highlights and cut, but I really wanted someone who would listen to what I wanted and who could do different things with my cut and highlights. I tried someone else, had a bad experience, and thought I would not venture beyond my tried and true stylist again. Then I got several recommendations for ARTHUR at AR HAIR SALON and read all the superb reviews about him on CitySearch. So, I decided to give him a try. He spends a lot of time listening to you, thinking about the right color of highlights to complement your complexion and the right cut to complement your face. And the results were fantastic. I'm looking no further - I just wish I had tried him sooner.

My friend recommended AR Salon for a cut and styling of my long hair. I had been growing my hair and was reluctant to get a cut because I did not know if it would look good. She cut and styled my hair wonderfully and fashionably. I was surprised that she did such a wonderful job. Marina was very professional and skilled when doing my hair. She is also a very stylish hairdresser- I did not really know how I wanted my hair done and her recommendation was just what I was looking for. I am very lucky to have had her as my hairdresser. I will definitely come back to her!!!

Overall the atmosphere of the salon was welcoming and pleasant. Maria even offered me wine. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

When I came to see Albert, I had a horrible cut that was not flattering. I had let it go for 6 months on top of that because I just didn?t want to bother with another disappointing cut. I have mid-length, fine, wavy hair that can look beautiful, but every stylist refused to see the potential. He paid a lot of attention to what I was telling him - how I loved my long hair, and I wanted it back! (two years ago some whack job gave me the worst cut ever and to correct it I had to cut off over a foot of hair. Ever since I haven't found anyone who could help me restore my beautiful long hair) he told me not only was it possible to get my long hair back, but it would be EASY. I had very little damage and he could just tream the bottom to freshen it and leave me with all my length. As far as the horrible and unflattering layers - he said those could easily be tweaked without removing much length. I was skeptical because I have gone to some of the most expensive and recommended salons in NYC and still I was at disaster-level. The new cut flatters my bone structure and my hair type and I can get away with little to no maintenance- exactly what I have been wanting! Every other stylist I have gone to for the past three years has cut my hair however they wanted. They would convince me to try some new ?great? style that would end up looking bad on me and not working with my hair.

ALBERT gave me a new cut and highlights that changed my life. Beyond just a great cut and highlight, he showed me how to style it perfectly and offered me great tips to manage the cut as it grew back in. . It's rare to find talent like ALBERT . He's fun, a great listener and he's equally amazing with scissors as he is with foils and color. If you need an image overhaul like I did or just a simple tidying up, definitely ask for ALBERT at AR HAIR SALON

When I called to make an appoitment, I was recomended to see Albert. I only went to get my haircut, but after conlsultation with Roger he also recomended just a few highlights, my hair looked amaizing, the haircut is great, and it is so easy for me to manage my own hair after great haircut Rogert gave me! The salon is treandy and charming!

I've been in the city for over 3 years and admittedly have never settled on a stylist after one dramatic disaster at a salon . I don't mind paying for a good cut, but since I moved to the city was just couldn't find a stylist I liked as well as ones I'd gone to on the west coast. I knew that was odd and continued to shop around but couldn't find a stylist who could really give my hair a style not just a cut. I'd usually come out $150-200 poorer and wondered if it was worth it. A friend had recommend AR hair salon. She came back with the best cut and said, "You won't believe this. I went to this amazing stylist. He sat me down. We talked about what I like about my hair, what product I use, what it usually looks like and how I wish it would look. He then cut it and showed me copel of ways to do it." Who does that? I finally decided a long time later to go to Arthur . I did and had the exact same treatment. And then went above and beyond and spent the time to show me a style that took way more time than the average style, but made me feel like a million bucks- no extra charge. I am still surprised by the whole experience. Love the cut (best I've had in years). Loved the salon. Will definitely go back.

I got a terrible haircut at this place that was completely asymmetrical, and not on purpose. It's the kind of bad that needs to be corrected. Beware!

Everyone on at this salon is truly gifted, especially Athur! I had never looked so beautiful after a visit to the hair salon. I will be coming back to have my hair styled for my holiday parties or any special event.
