The only place in town to buy BIODIESEL!!! They really don't make any money off it either, yet they're still keeping conscious of the environment!! Way to go Eco Wise!!!

Pros: Local BioDiesel

Cons: Poor Staff Quality

Great store, I always purchase my biodiesel from them. And I started using there soaps too about two years ago and wouldn't shop anywhere else. They are a little more money, but your dollar is going to a local store that cares about you. Not a mega box that knows your a number.

Ecowise's products are of horrible quality, and any attempts at obtaining a refund or even an exchange for their below-average merchandise will result in being lambasted by smug, hypocritical "environmentalists" who really have no idea

So I love the idea of Eco-wise. Fair trade, environmentally friendly, and basically just good for the world. But it's definitely got its downside.
For one, the prices are a bit on the high side. Yes, I expect to pay a high price for organic cotton, bamboo, fair trade, etc. But for the price, I also expect it to be of superior quality. So why did the bag I paid way too much for start falling apart 4 days later?
And watch out for their return policy. Yes, it's posted, but good luck finding it among the 7000 bumper stickers and eco-posters hanging on and around the front counter. And don't expect the employees to tell you that the $100 you just spent is worth only a store credit when the item you bought doesn't work out.
Overall, it's a good store, but don't pay the high prices unless you're absolutely sure your purchase is a keeper. And yes, I still stop in from time to time...I just don't buy as often as I once did.

Ecowise offers a diverse selection of eye-catching and high-quality products, particularly in the toy department (lots of interesting and colorful wooden toys). However, the staff always seem busy with something else and reluctant to help

Pros: appealing products

Cons: service

I went to Eco-Wise for a Christmas gift before the holidays for a friend who loves the organic and natural baby products they sell. The baby toy selection is amazing, and it just goes to show how many toys can be great even without the batteries, lights and sounds blaring. They also sell natural cotton sheet sets, which are incredibly soft and luxurious. The prices are a little higher than a chain store, but they have a huge selection and friendly customer service.
