Pros: Good food & good service...almost perfect...

Cons: Too buzy...make reservation...

.

Come check this place out early because there is a small line for lunch time rolls around. Sushi here is fresh and worth waiting for. The portions are also good sizes so drop by here for lunch sometime.

This is right off El Camino near Lawrence expressway and there is always a good lunch crowd there. The sushi is exceptional and my favorite thing is that the pieces are good sized. Their fish is always very fresh and the staff is always friendly and has great recommendations.

Cherry Sushi has the freshest sashimi in town. The place is spotless, and the service is excellent. A little pricey, but well worth it! The staff was super friendly, and I highly recommend it!

From what I understand about sushi, it is not suppose to have a fishy smell or be slimy. Unfortunatly, this was the case at Cherry Sushi. Not only did the Maguro (tuna) lack in its bright red/pink color but it was slimey! The only positive points for this restaurant were that it was nicely decorated and it had a friendly staff.

This was a great surprise. Converted from Bakers Square, very nicely decorated restaurants. Seating was immediate, service was good. If you like your appetizers before your meal, order it first, then entree later. They serve your entire order all at once if you order it all at once. Food quality, taste and presentation is great! Rolls very creative and filling.

I've been back in the bay area for about nine months now and I have been searching for a good sushi restaurant; I've tried many places already and I think I've found one of my top local spots at Cherry Sushi! From the outside looking in it looks like a cheap sushi buffet place, however, when you get inside, the place is very cozy with modern decor.

The rolls average $10-15, which can be pretty pricy compared to other sushi restaurants, but they are well worth it! They rolls were scrumptous and the staff was very friendly and attentive. A great place for a date or with a group of friends.

el camino real in santa clara and sunnyvale is jampacked with sushi restaurants, both of the japanese variety and the korean. cherry sushi appeared on the scene in the latter part of 2005, as a korean sushi joint that features live jazz at night. that's a classy combination, although it has been around ever since yoshi's opened its oakland doors and has been revived by cupertino's boas on stevens creek boulevard. sure, the jazz and asian cuisine combo is not new, but i still believe this sushi bar that replaced the old bakers' square can hold its own thanks to its well-prepared renditions of japanese restaurant classics, its ultra-stylish dcor, and attentive service.

during the silicon valley mad lunchrush, cherry serves some nice bento box style lunch combos, which arrive on a beautiful, square plate that beats the pants off of any cliched "bento" box.

like many other korean sushi restaurants in this era, cherry offers some contemporised sushi rolls, ones made with cucumber or fish in place of rice or seaweed as well as those all-too-popular deep-fried rolls. those dishes look great, and i shall try to try them soon.

PROS: well-prepared renditions of japanese restaurant classics
CONS: tough competition in the neighbourhood
