My 3 year old is receiving OT for sensory integration problems and received Speech Therapy for speech delay from Helping Hands Pediatric Therapy. Ms. Margie (OT) is fabulous with my daughter and has incorporated a variety of techniques to assist with her progress. In the beginning Margie let me sit in on the sessions and let me decide when I was ready to have my daughter have a session without me. It was so nice to see how they interacted and see my daughter engaging and having fun. Now that the sessions are one-on-one, Margie tells me everything they worked on which keeps me in the loop. I have incorporated many ideas at home and at preschool and have seen improvements in both places. My daughter cries when we leave because she wants to play with Ms. Margie some more. That makes me happy. When my daughter saw Ms. Kia (speech) she warmed up to her immediately which is unusual for my daughter. Kia gave us weekly worksheets to practice and gave me advice on how to assist my daughter in practicing troublesome letters. She was perceptive to my daughters' mood and would adjust sessions accordingly. I would recommend Helping Hands to anyone whose child needs OT or speech as my experience with both was superb.
