Our service was great and the waiter was adorable. Ambiance was romantic and definitely recommended. For the music,,,I would recommend jazz or house and the people were cool. Portions were good.

Fresh bread and fresh baked goods who could ask for more!! It always smells like my house growing up when my grandmother would bake fresh every weekend and that?s why I keep going back.. a little reminder of home is always good for the soul.

Very nice spot for breakfast or lunch. I would go back again. Like another reviewer I like to order the sauces on the side. The savory crepes are quite good in texture and variety while I find some of the sweet ones too sugary...not saying its bad, just for my taste...others love it!!!\r
\r
Not exactly French, but good faux French. I would head there now if lunch had not already been consumed. \r

Ever been to Paris? Well you may not have to with Lulu's Creperie's. Sure they are a bit pricey but the crepes are absolutely delicious. As a fair warning, make sure you wear looser pants as the crepes can be quite heavy or what they like to call savory. Either way, this place is delicious!

Great place for breakfast, and lunch. I haven't had dinner here yet. It is not in the prettiest shopping center, but Lulu's is decorated like a sweet little french Cafe and really does transport you! \r

The Sweet crepes are delish! The Savory crepes can be a bit rich, I like to order the sauces on the side. Great service yummy food, and its quite cozy. Try it!

In honor of restaurant week, my husband and I decided to take an extended lunch break from work and shower Lulu's with our patronage. The prix fixe menu here was truly an exceptional deal - $10 for a three course meal, including appetizer, entree and dessert!
I enjoyed the soup du jour (lentil on the day I dined), french dip sandwich with fries, and the strawberry nutella crepe for dessert. My other half commissioned the Indian lunch crepe for an entree. I found the soup and sandwich to be rather mundane; they were decent, but not exactly distinct from similar fare found at typical family diners. The dessert crepe was significantly more pleasing to the palate though. My consort found his Indian crepe savory and appetizing, though sadly not as filling as he would have wished.
The courses came out rather slowly and our drink glasses sat empty without refills for the majority of our meal. I was in a placid mood so it didn't bother me too much, but normally I would've expected more attentive service. I don't think we were deliberately neglected; rather, they were seriously understaffed.
All in all I found Lulu's to be quite the little bijou. I will definitely revisit to try some of the other crepes, and I hope they will hire a few more servers and chefs!

This place is seriously a hidden gem! I loved the creperie and I loved the owner of this little piece of heaven in Laguna Hills :)
The crepes were all perfect. My friend and I went there and ordered two savory crepes and one sweet one as a dessert and we loved each bite!
Will definitely be back here soon!

My friends and I went to Lulus for dinner and had a terrific time. We not only enjoyed the food, but the wonderful singer that they had there during dinner. The service was prompt and the waitress was very sweet. I had the rack of lamb with a delicious rice pilaf and the most incredible green beans I have ever eaten! My friends had the filet mignon and a seafood crepe --- both were very tasty. However, for dessert, we had a Bananas Foster Crepe topped with this incredible homemade vanilla ice cream --- so yummy!!! I am going back to try the rest of the dessert crepes they offer there!

The crepes at Lulu's are the BEST I have had outside of Paris! My favorites are the Chocolate-Hazelnut Crepe (i.e. Nutella) with fresh strawberries and the Irish -- a delightful crepe flambe with Baileys Irish Cream, bananas, and fresh strawberries.\r
\r
For dinner, I have tried (and loved) both the La Mer (seafood crepe) and the Francaise (chicken & portobello mushrooms). \r
\r
The crepes at Lulus are the Brittany-Style -- if you haven't tried them yet -- they are just like you would get in Paris!

It was the first time that I was back to Lulu's Cafe, now Lulu's Crepererie in 2 years. The chef is not the same. If the decoration has not changed, it is not the case of the food. Before it was not a creperie, now it is. I do not know where the ""chef"" learned how to do crepes, but he should go back to school. \r
First and foremost, he does not cook them enough. The dough is far from the real stuff and moreover the salty ones are swimming into their sauce (it at least cover the poor taste, or add taste to the tasteless dough). The sweet ones are dry and the dough has no taste either.\r
Please give up and cook juicy hamburgers instead.

WoW! The dessert was fantastic!!! Do yourself a favor and order Le Pomme Crepe! Also, I would suggest visiting on a Friday or Saturday night for the free live entertainment. The Violinist was very good and added to the pleasant atmosphere.

My husband and I went to Lulu's this weekend for the first time. Several friends had highly recommended it, so we decided to try it. We had the BEST time. The violinist there is top notch --- she has toured with major Broadway musicals and is truly exceptional! At the next table from us was a retired director from the LA Philharmonic and a renowned cellist himself who commented on the exceptional talent of this lovely lady! \r
\r
If she wasn't so talented, I would have started with the food! We started our dinner with a lovely Chardonnay -- and to our surprise, a complementary Pate Platter was served with our wine --- delicious! We then had the French Onion Soup --- some of the best I have ever tasted in the United States. It took me back to my travels in France. We then had the Salmon (tender, delicious!) and the Osso Bucco (absolutely perfect!). We finished our dinner with Creme Brulee. This was one of the best creme brulees I have had. I cannot believe it took us so long to go to this quaint, family-owned restaurant. You should try it --- it won't disappoint!\r

My friends and I went there on Saturday night --- and were blown away by both the food (we went for the crepes) and the entertainment. Since we wanted to try the Irish Crepe (a dessert made with Baileys Irish Cream, Bananas, Strawberries --- and filled with Nutella), we decided to have something different for dinner. Between us, we shared the Osso Bucco (YUM!!!), Poached Salmon (SOOOO tender and delicious), and Lamb (OMG!!!). Of course, we started with wine (and received a complimentary pate platter (!!!) with it. Then we moved on to some of the BEST french onion soup I have ever tasted. The bad news was that we hardly had ROOM LEFT for the dessert, but we forced ourselves anyway! To top it off, we had them add some of their homemade vanilla bean ice cream, aka frozen creme brulee (my favorite). So delish!\r
\r
The entertainment that night was a concert violinist playing some of the greatest show tunes (Phantom, anyone?) We just had the greatest evening. The only downside was that quite a few others ALSO were having a great evening! We had plenty of time between our courses, which was fine for us since we were having such an enjoyable time.\r
\r
The staff at Lulu's is great --- they got us everything we needed and checked back to make sure we were fine. Our waiter was the NICEST GUY as well. This is certainly our new favorite place!

I came upon this restaurant while searching on line for other things and it stuck in my head. As we bemoaned that there are no Mom & Pop type places in South Orange County to go to for breakfast/lunch, I remembered seeing this place on line. We decided to give it a try. All I can say is that I am a convert and will be a regular at this place. I have spent at least half of my life in France and I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world, so my expectations are pretty high. The menu is truly diverse and offers options for practically everyone (including lots of vegetarian choices). My partner had the Normandie Omelette (sausage, bacon, tomatoes, scallions) and raved about it. The roasted potatoes served with it were amazing....perfect. As for me, I tried one of the Gallettes: La Zorba Crepe (gallette with spinach, mushroom, tomatoes, feta cheese, kalamata olives) in a light cream sauce. I had not had a gallette since my last visit to St. Malo and Lulu's did not disappoint. The service was great and the staff all very friendly. The Provence decor was very pleasing as well. I look forward to my next visit and more menu exploration.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who told us great things about the food and entertainment, so we went last week-end with several friends. We had wine (which came with a complimentary pate platter), and then ordered the Osso Bucco, Monk Fish, and several dinner crepes. The dinner was delicious, but even better was the delightful entetainment offered. The singer does many classics, and it was a perfect accompanyment to our dinner. We stayed the entire evening talking and listening to the music. At the end, we shared a full order of Profiteroles (comes with 4 -- one for each of us). They were filled with the most delightful homemade vanilla ice cream, decidedly the best I have ever tasted! This is a delightful dinner experience and a great place to spend the evening relaxing, eating, and listening to music.

My friends and I tried Lulu?s for brunch on Sunday ? and it was hopping!!! We had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table --- it was WELL WORTH IT! We had the eggs benedict, an omelet they call the ?Zorba? (a Greek omelet filled with feta cheese and Kalamata olives), a ?Mission? crepe (Southwestern topped avocados), and the ?Sicilian? (Italian with sausage). I think I now need to go back to try them all! If you go on Sunday, be prepared for a wait ? the place is really popular on the week-ends! We thought it was well worth the few minutes wait. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee was ?bottomless? --- and delicious! I asked and found out it was Dietrich?s coffee --- very good!!! Now I know why I miss Dietrich?s.

We have been coming to Lulu's Creperie Cafe for several years now, and we love this place. We go for a quiet evening of wine, food, and entertainment. It is quaint -- family-owned, and the owner comes out to check to make sure everything is to our satisfaction. Our favorite foods include the Osso Bucco, Salmon, and, of course -- the crepes! At the end of out meal, we usually have a scoop of their homemade ice cream on top their very best dessert crepe --- the ""Irish"". The Irish has Bailey's Irish Cream in it -- topped with carmelized bananas and fresh strawberries. \r
\r
They have added excellent entertainment as well on the week-ends --- currently they have a jazz singer who is worth the trip to hear! All in all, a great experience!

We visited Lulu's Creperie Cafe for dinner on Friday evening this week and were treated to the most memorable jazz singer over dinner. It was incredible! My husband and I went with several friends and stayed on just to continue to hear the performance. We had the most incredible frog's legs (where can you get those in Orange County???) that were so authentic, we thought we were back in France! The Coq au Vin was delicious as was the Sweetbreads (wow!) Oh, for dessert, we had profiteroles with the most delicious homemade ice cream! The profiteroles alone were worth the trip. The service was perfect. We love this place --- a new favorite for us!

We ate several meals at Lulus on a recent trip to Southern California. My eleven year old son and seven year old daughter loved the sandwiches, crepes and breakfast. My husband and I enjoyed delicious sand dabs and French onion soup one night and we decided to have Thanksgiving dinner there as well. The meal exceeded our expectations. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality and the service is friendly and efficient.

We are from Northern California and consider ourselves very discerning about food. I can tell you, we were totally BLOWN AWAY by the quality of the food at Lulu's Creperie Cafe!!! We are so grateful for the friends who recommended this restaurant to us during our stay. We must have eaten there daily during our recent trip. The crepes are some of the best we have ever had. We found out that the chef was one of the first to bring Brittany crepes to the West Coast over 30 years ago! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The variety and the quality of the meals are outstanding. The decor is lovely --- it makes you forget you are in the heart of Orange County and can easily imaging yourself in the middle of the French countryside!

Pros: Delicious Food

Cons: Hard to find

.

This is a great little restaurant with the best Brittany crepes I have tasted outside of France! However, they have many other choices as well --- the Salmon is another favorite of mine! The ambiance is delightful --- a romantic place to go at dinnertime! This listing is a duplicate --- it is now called Lulu's Creperie & Cafe --- just so you don't get confused!

My husband and I heard through the grapevine that Lulu Cafe offers wonderful selection of breakfast and lunch menu so we decided to try it out. The first time we came was 2 weeks ago and had a good first impression of the place and the service it offered. So we came back again to try out different items just last weekend and was sat down at the outside patio table. As I was settling down on my seat and laying out the knapkin on my laps, the corner of my eyes notice a moving 'little thing' against the wall under our table. Not in my dream I would have guessed that 'little thing' that was moving and nibbling was a 'tiny version of the MickeyMouse'! Yes, you read it right and I'm not kidding. I'm not sure how important this piece of information sounds to you, but I know for sure I will never come back there again. Even though the staffs were trying to 'trap the creature' and assured us that because the seats were on the outside patio instead of being inside, it does not make it right for us as customers to see such things in an environment where sanitation should be the main concern. Also, the french door to the outside patio is always wide open, there is a great chance that there would be more than 1 of those creatures could be running around and get inside and who knows, perhaps in the kitchen. Anyhow, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, unless you don't mind to run in an unvited guest like I did!

Lulu's has one of the best atmospheres of any cafe around! During the day, it is light and cheery, and the patio is perfect in all kinds of weather. We have been dining here for years, not only for the warm smiles and 'Bon Jour' that greet us, but also for the delicious and unique cuisine. While we enjoy indulging in the heavenly croissants, scrumptious crepes and amazing dinners, my frequent requirements for low-cal meals are easy to accommodate. Lulu's is a very special place, an oasis from the chain restaurants and predictable menus that have invaded the world of dining. For a meal at least, we feel that we're in Europe . . . tasty food, unhurried atmosphere, comfortable decor . . . nothing 'cookie-cutter' here! And if you come frequently, as we do, you'll soon find that you're one of the many 'regulars' who are blessed to feel at home here.

Pros: Very friendly, bright & pretty, delicious food

I am a regular at Lulu's Cafe and I eat breakfast or lunch there several times per week. I simply love the Eggs Benedict and the Pain Perdu --- and I have recently added their wonderful crepes to my list of favorites!. They have a wide variety of both savory and sweet crepes that are simply scrumptous. The food would be enough to keep me coming back. However --- add to that the wonderful ambiance. The decor is LOVELY, and the atmosphere is like a ""home away from home"". If you remember the old TV Series, ""Cheers"" where ""everyone knowns your name"" --- that would describe Lulu's Cafe! However, instead of a bar, it is a quaint French restaurant. I hesitated at writing this --- because I do not want them to become too popular --- those of us who are regulars like having them all to ourselves! However, I guess it is time to share our wonderful little secret with the rest of Orange County!

Pros: The atmosphere --- A French ""Cheers""

Cons: Cons? None for me!

We also read about Lulu's Cafe on Citysearch, and decided to try it late one Sunday evening. Even though we arrived near closing --- and were also young and wanted only an inexpensive meal --- we were treated like their most important guests! We had a wonderful time --- both food and service. We ordered the Cajun and Francaise crepes --- and they were the best we have had anywhere! We were also offered tastes of French cider and pastries by the owners. Since we wanted to sit and talk awhile, the owners stayed open for us. We talked with the owners and found they only have had the restaurant for 3 months, and are doing great things there. They are seeing continually increasing business --- and going through ""growing pains"" as they described it. We will definitely become one of their ""new regulars""!

We read great reviews about this restaurant and decided to try it for ourselves. We were seated right away but had to wait 20 mins to receive our menus. We noticed that the other middle-aged waitress had refused to even acknowledge us as she seemed to be more interested in helping out a 6-top table of middle aged group wine drinkers and etc vs helping out the rest of the crowd forcing the other waitress to single handle the entire restaurant herself causing the service to be extremely slow. We were there for another hour waiting for our food to arrive to where we finally asked for the food to go. We ordered the crepes and they were horrible, too salty, and not full of flavor. We were dissapointed by the service and the quality of the meal and it was really pricy for what it was. We also feel as though that middle-aged waitress had judged us immediately because we appear to be young and maybe have no money per say. We are regular customers of Taste of France in Huntington Beach where a wonderful meal is about 6 dollars average, the customer service is wonderful there, they occasionally give out free pastries and desserts to customers on their way out; the quiche, pastries, and crepes are also very flavorful. I would recommend this restaurant over Lulu's easily.

Pros: Good bread

Cons: Service, food, location

This is the place to enjoy fabulous food at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is tucked away in a small mini mall area. Once you walk in you feel like you are in Paris. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and charming. Don't let the name fool you; this restaurant has a large variety of menu options. The service is A+-- I was treated like royalty. This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch Tuesday-Sunday and dinner during the weekends. I began my dinner experience with an excellent salad and soup. My main entree was the filet mignon (Wow). I would compare it to a Ruth Chris Steak House. To end the meal I had an unbelievable fruit crepe with fresh raspberries and strawberries. What a fantastic dining experience it was. I hope to come back to this restaurant soon. My advise to anyone is you better go now and enjoy or later you will be waiting for a table.

This restaurant is a gem --- the crepes are the best I have tasted in Orange County. The week-end dinners feature excellent French cuisine at very affordable prices. Some of my favorites include the Sand Dabs in Lemon Caper Sauce, Scallops Pernod, and the Coq au Vin. The wines are excellent and very reasonably priced.. I would highly recommend it.
