Never ever will i purchase one thing from this store. I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer in June 2010; May of 2011 it broke. I called a service repair. He came out; Didn't fix it. Ordered part. Waited 1.5 months for the part. Got it. 2 guys come to fix it and didn't have the correct part. 3rd repair guys (yes 2 guys to fix 1 machine) come out and still can't fix it. They need to order another part!! Meanwhile, it's been almost 2 months, i've been dragging my kids to the laundrymat every other day after work, wasting money, time and growing more and more frustrated. When you call the store for status, the receptionist is rude on the phone, but i just keep calling. They won't give me a replacement or a loaner. I've wasted time away from my job to be there for service calls that don't resolve a damn thing and i've wasted $$ at the laundrymat washing clothes while a useless piece of machinery sits in my garage. Less than a year old and the motor is blown. I will never buy one thing from them and I will let everybody on my Facebook account know that Howard's is the worst company when it comes to taking responsibility. I am 100% DONE with them.

Bought two items from Howards.
1. Whirlpool Washer.Told by Howard that is it ellegible for a state refund,. According to the state this model wasn't.
Howard's pretended they didn't know about it. THEY LIED Lost $100 buck.
Being an optimist I bought a GE dryer from them. Had the most terrible delivery service experience of my life. Promises prior notification before delivery. Failed to do so. Showed up at the door without a prior call. No one was home, obviously. Supervisor Elia promised next day delivery 8Am-11am a one hour prior call. THAT WAS A LIE. Delivery showed up at the door at a wrong time. No prior call.

Installed gas dryer incorrectly. Lost hot water in the house ON CHRISTMAS WEEKEND. Howard's told me it was my fault and they have no one who can fix it. The miserable manager named Alfred told me it was a "coincidence" (!!!!) that my water heater stopped working immediately after dryer installation. Another LIE in a long string of lies

Terrible consumer experience! i have bought from Howard's over the years. Recently, i just bought a new washer/dryer. The delivery people came in and install it. after they left, we ran a load. The machine started to jump all over the place! I called Howard's. They said it wold cost me $40.00 to have someone come out and check it. I told them your guys just left and it is not working right. They said "TOO BAD." I ask to speak to a manager. I am still waiting for his phone call. I will probably have to take legal action to resolve this issue. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!. Next time, i will buy over the internet. They are quick to take your money!!

We purchase a Frigidaire Refrigerator in 2005 got extended warranty which will expire at the end of this year. We purchased it for my mother, then a couple of months went by, can't remember what the problem was.My brother who lived with my mother at the time called my husband, since the paperwork was in our name. He said that refrigerator was not working. My husband called Howard's Appliance for service. They took the refrigerator and called to tell my brother they could not fix it and replaced with another new refrigerator that we know of. We know have the refrigerator at our home and the freezer was going out. My husband called Howards to check on the warranty time. They said that we were okay. So the sent some one out. He checked it and said it was the computer board that needed to be replaced. We then find out the serial # does not match with the original one that was replaced. No record of this. My husband has been back and forth with Howards store and service. They do not have record of that nor paperwork regarding this refrigerator. They will not service it without charge. I don't understand how they don't keep record for services. We are now having the dilemma of having to replace. What is the sense of paying to have extended warranty if no records are kept. They also have lost us as a customer for ever. What sort of service department do they have and to allow this to go on. They don't deserve a star!

Howard's Tv & Appliances is verry good in taking uopr money but when they need to pay up they will fight
i have the same washer and dryer i am sewing them for a full refund..Whirlpool Duet washer stopped working 2 weeks the only person that knows but is limmtied to what he can do is Henry I had an extended warranty.they CXLed it they are so full of them selfs thank god i was thinking it was just me i feel so bad for the 1 or two workers that work there.

Called on a friday about refrigerator not staying cool said they would have a service rep come out and look at it either Saturday or Monday. Monday 1-3pm Service rep came to the house to look at Refrigerator bad computer and the fan was going out which had caused the fruit/ vegetable drawer to freeze over, said he would be back in about a week.
1 week two 4 days later they came out to repair the refrigerator and brought only the computer and not the fan. He said the fan was going out but didn??t actually think it would so he did not bring it, and he said service would call us back. No call even after calling the parts manager a dozen time. Talk to customer service during business hrs they told me numerous times parts was closed when it was not.
Called the store in La Habra and spoke with the manager and complained about how bad there service was, he said he would have the service manager call me Monday 1st thing.
Never did.Mngr called me back waiting for a part and that it would be about a week, I old them it was unacceptable he said he would have the service manager call me. Never did. I called the customer service and asked them if the part had even been ordered and why they couldn??t have it over nighted, they said they usually do. I asked them for a part # so I could get it overnighted and they put me on hold. Then another girl picked up and schedules service for Wednesday (like all the sudden they have a part) Then Larry shows up again to fix the refrigerator and has the wrong part. He made 3 calls before he left my house.Called to speak to Issac the service manager, but they would not give me him and took a message, I told the girl I had to have a call back tomorrow.Still no call from parts mgr, I called back and they still would not let me talk to him the girl told me he had left to go out to the warehouse and that Larry was already off so they could not find out what was going on until tomorrow when Larry was back on the clock. I asked if they could call Larry and home and they would not.Called and spoke with Jessica she would not let me hold for Issac she said he was on the phone finding out about my part and would call me back in the next 30 min for sure.Finally called an hr 1/2 later said they would be at my house the tomorrow morning. We'll see.
3 weeks I have had tv's repaired faster.

We purchased Plasma and return the merchandise next day, it looks like it was refurbished item.

I recently purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Howard's in Long Beach, CA.. I was told by the sales person that the delivery included taking the old refrigerator and putting the new one in its place. The delivery came about 6:00 pm. The two delivery people
unloaded the refrigerator and took off the packing material in the street. They then proceeded to been the refigerator into the house and set it in the middle of the living room.

One of the delivery people when over to the old refigerator and measured it. Then he went and measured between the counters to see the what the distance was. He then said they could not take it because the distance between the counters was too narrow.
In the first place they should have taken the old refrigerator out firstand then bring the new one in to the kitchen.

They flatly refused to take the old refigerator out of my kitchen, because the said it would take 4 people to lift it over a 34 inch counter and that would cost more money. They said that there were no other people available to help and by this time it was about 7:00pm. They then left me with the new refrigerator sitting in the middle of my living room. and my old refigerator in the kitchen.

Well, I am only one person and I rolled the old refigerator out the front door , by my self and to the garage. Then I lifted the new refrigerator over the counter and put it down on the kitchen floor, by my self! Then I proceeded to connect up the water line and rolled the new refrigerator in place in the kitchen,

What the people at these Howard store told me at the store about the delivery was a large faslehood and I for one will never go into another Howard's store because they are atrocious about what they say they will do. I would encourage everyone not to shop at Howard,s or get every word they tell you in written form if you do shop there. Well that was my experience on the Refrigerator and Delivery from Howard's Appliances.

When my Whirlpool Duet washer stopped working last month I called Howard's Service Center because I have an extended warranty. Since then I've called several times and I've been disconnected twice, been put on hold as long as 15 minutes and discovered that all the managers are out of the building at the same time. No trouble shooting was done over the phone which could have saved at least a week. I was told they don't do service calls on Sat. but my husband called back and immediately got a Sat. appt. When the tech came he didn't have the right part and said it would take 7-14 days to get it. It came in 7 but then no tech was avail for another 2 weeks. After several irrate calls I was given an appt in a week. The part did not work so the techs gigled the wires and called it fixed. It worked for 3 laundry loads then stopped. Another week and another tech and this one says the mother board needs replacement. I have been a month w/o a washer. This during CA's most severe heat wave and I'm dragging my laundry and a 5 month old to a laundry mat. Howard's is unwiling to give me a replacement washer or a loaner. No one will take charge and claim to have any authority, including the Customer Service Manager and the Long Beach Store Manager where I bought it. I recommend buying elsewhere but if you have to buy from Howard's, don't waste your money on the extended warranty.

PROS: None of the pros make it worth what I'm going through
CONS: They are not standing behind their product.

Just moved here from New York, NY and I had to sell most of my electronics and televisions. But I really wanted to start fresh with new equipment anyway. I went to Howard's to find a couple of pieces for my new home. What i found was AMAZING!!! Not only did they beat Beast Buy prices! But they beat Beast Buy's SERVICE and SELECTION!!!!

I see the commericals so I went in there looking to buy some appliances and a bigger TV. I had envisioned a large electronic/appliance store. Instead what I found was a small interier store with not that much to choose from. One small section was TV's and the other end was appliances. They had very few selections for my viewing choice and they didn't have a large selection of TV sizes. They didn't carry a large selection of any appliances except fridges. And I didn't want to buy one of those. I was looking more for dishwashers and ranges. They just didn't have much. I was kind of disappointed. The prices were decent but again, not what I had been led to believe by what is advertised.

PROS: Had some good deals
CONS: didn't have a thing I wanted
