What an amazing school! We just started a few months ago and I can't believe what my twin 3-year-olds have already learned. This school has a great balance of academics, socialization, current issues (environment, stranger awareness, etc), and most of all FUN!! They let kids be kids, and still manage to teach them a TON!! It's awesome.

I am a parent at Future Stars and personally, I love this school. The teachers here are friendly and really take the time out to get to know your child and know their needs. The director Cindy is amazing and holds everything together at this school. She is so friendly, and just an honest person. My children have been at this school since they were infants and the infants have awesome curriculum as well as the older children. I would definitely reccommend this school to my other family members with children and friends with children.

I can't even express how happy I am to have found Future Stars Academy. I had sent my son to another day care previously and he was very unhappy, crying for hours. I just didn't get a good feeling so I started looking around at other schools. As soon as I walked in to FSA, I was immediately impressed by the energetic administrator, Cindy! At the time she was a 3-year-old teacher, who brought so much fun and warmth to her group of kids. As an administrator, she brings that same energy and love to the whole school! I have never seen such an involved administrator! All the kids know and love Cindy. She's always there to make an owie feel better, put a smile or laugh on a child's face, and is always full of big hugs! She's so down-to-earth and out-of this-world at the same time! She's even there to lend an ear if I need to vent about my work! She'll also give my child special attention if I have a concern. She really knows how to make each child feel like they're someone special. The teachers are also awesome. My older son just graduated inJune and loves to go with me to pick up his brother. He loves visiting Ms. Amanda and Ms. Kristi, and of course Ms Cindy! My younger son is now in Ms. Sharliene and Ms. Tanya's class and he is just loving it! Ms. Sharliene is so creative - just look at her walls and you'll be impressed with all the cool things she does with 2-year-olds! My son already knows the ABC's, he loves counting (loudly), and he has learned how to say sorry and give hugs! She also gives e-mail updates on what they did in class. Ms. Tanya is also so wonderful! She is so warm and loving! When I come to pick up my son she always gives me an update on his day, whether he ate all his food, if he had a good day, or seemed "not himself" She can always put a smile on my son's face! I highly reccommend this school as I have to many of my friends who now are FSA families! They as well were very impressed with Cindy and the staff!

I have 2 boys and both LOVE FSA!! One is now an "alumni" and still loves visiting the school. The teachers are awesome, very friendly, gentle and inspiring for both of my "future stars". Especially the director Cindy, has done WONDERS with the school since she stepped into that role. She really makes the school what it is....FUN, FAMILY ORIENTED, and FABULOULSY ENRICHING!! My boys have learned soo much there, not just academics, but socialization and treating others with respect and kindness. Cindy and her crew has truly made this place a home away from home for my children. My oldest has gone through FSA from beginning to end and has learned such essential values in every class he has experienced. My youngest, now in the 2 class is always singing and dancing all the wonderful things he is taught in class (including sign language!!)
I genuinely LOVE and would recommend FSA to others looking for a warm, enriching, and fun enviromnent to have your child(ren) experience. Again, the school director is wonderful, really listens to the parent's needs and works together with the family so that everyone, especially the child, is safe, happy, and well taken care of. All the teachers there are the same way. I also have to give to the owners for picking such a great bunch!!!

My son has been in this school a little over two years now. He loves it. The children get along great with one another, they all know eachothers name. If there is a new kid in school the kids really make it a point to welcome him/her. If some body is sad or having a bad day the other kids come over and give hugs and ask "you wanna come play with me?"
This is really a wonderful school. The teachers are all awesome! Ms. Tanya is I think, the best of the bunch! My son is no longer in her class but he always talks about her at home. She always takes the time to talk to parents about ANYTHING that has to do with their child even if they are no longer in her class room.
Ms. Cindy is also wonderful! she is always (really) full of energy and she will tell it like it is. At first, I thought she was kind of loud but honestly, its just enthusiasm. She trully cares about the kids.
Ms. Marina, is the school's housekeeper, she is there all day long and she too is awesome. Shes like the kids second grandmother.
I think the meals should be a little bit on the healthier side but they really do try to introduce new foods to the kids (like cream spinach, beans. you know, healthy stuff)
Yes, tuition is on the expensive side but its worth every penny!
The school even has "Parents night out" where one of the trusty teachers watches you kid while you go out for a few hours!
Parents are encouraged to participate. in all school activities. And you wont be let down if you do!
Summer camp is so much fun!
The school introduces, sign language and spanish. Every month has a theme. Like Ocean, Jungle... And the kids learn about animals/plants/environment!
The kids bring seeds in and plant their own garden too!

Pros: Great programs and staff. Clean school. If ar child has an allergy, its posted everywhere so that everyone knows to take extra care of that child.

Cons: Expensive (but worth it) Not enough parking space.

I sent my son to Future Stars Academy when he was one. I was very impressed with the programs and activities they offer the kids. The teacher are great especially the director Cindy. They were very helpful and informative about the potty training program and my son was 100% potty trained within a week. They work so well with the kids and have great summer activites that the parents are able to participate in. I loved this school and recommend it highly to all my friends.

This school is truly amazing! After reading the last review, I had to comment. I agree that this school is not cheap, but it is pretty comparable with the other schools in the area. I looked everywhere for a school for my son and most schools charged about the same. The places that were cheaper were in worse neighborhoods and could not hold a candle to Future Stars. I really feel that your child's care is not the place to scrimp and what you and your children get in return at Future Stars is priceless! My son has gone to this school for a year and a half and I am so happy we found it. The teachers and administrators are incredible, always doing new and exciting things with the kids. It breaks my heart to know that my son will be leaving soon for kindergarten!

The tuition rates are high for a school like this. Especially for the infant program. They are twice at what you would pay for an at-home-daycare and the service doesn't seem twice as great.

My wife and I spent over a year looking for quality child care for our son. Much of that was spent on waiting lists for schools we deemed "good enough" but left us wondering "What's wrong with child care in this state?" Driving home one day we drove by Future Stars and decided to add it to the list of places we've checked out. Immediately they set themselves apart. If you spend 5 minutes speaking with the director you realize that the education, safety and general development of your child is as important to them as it is to you. The children are taught in fun and engaging ways that makes school fun. From the time they're infants they're being taught sign language so they can communicate their needs before they're able to speak. At 3 years old they offer the "Don't talk to Strangers" program informing children how to handle those situations we all pray our child never finds. They even work to schedule a night each month for the parents to have time to themselves. This school is everything we hoped to find in child care but couldn't find anywhere else. Take it from soneone who has looked at most places around Long Beach, Torrance, Carson, Lomita, Wilmington and all the surrounding cities even up to LA. This is where you want to drop off your child each morning.

Cons: I have to go to work and can't spend the day there myself.

My daughter was a student at Future Stars for several years. I recently moved out of the Torrance/Lomita area and cannot find a preschool that even comes close to Future Stars. I now realize what an amazing program they have, and I want to highly recommend them. The teachers are amazing! Honestly, teachers are EVERYTHING to a school, and theirs are the best. They are dedicated, creative, and the DON'T LEAVE. Where I'm at now, there is a teacher leaving once a month, it seems...Future Stars also has an energy level and excitement that makes the kids and adults want to be there. I highly recommend the school to any parents looks for a program for their little ones.

So many activities... 3 tons of snow brought in...animal farm days...career week...camping week sleeping in tents... But most importantly staff that's really grounded and caring. No staff turnover like at most schools... what a great energy at this place. Top infant program too!
