tamba was a horrible experience very unsanitary , the people ware very rude, the food was cold and tasteless. Bottomline very unproffesional. we never go back or reffer anybody.

Hey, all of you out there if you think you can enjoy a single day at that depressing hotel, well don't have high hopes, I had the terrible experience with bad service, very bad food The food was never fresh in fact re-heated leftovers were served frequently, the meat needs power teeth to deal with. ?BETTER PLACE TO EAT IS MOUNT EVEREST INDIAN CUISINE. ITS REALLY THE BEST , ENJOY AS ITS THE BEST AND YOU GET GOOD FOOD.

best indian Restaurant in Las vegas.I have been to every indian restaurant in Las vegas,Tamba is by far the best.I ate here three times and every time food was fantastic and service was great.I was great and higly recomend it.

Wow, after reading all the reviews it seems that someone is out for a vendetta against this place. The food has always been good for years, probably the busiest indian restaurant iv seen. Please go check it out yourself and see.

Also id like to see who they're being compared against in las vegas.

Don't get me wrong, I know allyou can eat is not the quality road, but this place takes the cake as far as being sub par goes. It really sucks man. I try not to judge the place on one visit, although my first time to Tamba indian restaurant was a bad experience. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I can say I will never do back again. I don't know how they can feel its OK to serve food of such poor quality. The managers are so funny.. and the food it smells man. Don't think its fresh. Place looks good with decoration and all but when comes to food part it so so ..worst. I love indian food so i went to eat with my friends and they just treated us as we don't know anything about indian dishes.

Really no proper parking... no good food, its just a worst and worst restaurant. I HOPE NO ONE SHOULD GO THERE MY PERSONAL SUGGESTION.

I would like to say if you are hungry AND DIYING don't even go to "TAMBA INDIAN CUISINE. I AND MY FAMILY VISITED THIS RESTAURANT, as we were on a trip staying in nearby hotel. i should say it was the biggest mistake of my life. I ever took this decision to eat in such a worst hotel, such a worst food. i just came out and started vomitting, same time we met one of the old cook who left the job from there.. he told that these people keep food for 3 days and it is not the freshone its all left over.. they serve this in buffed. OH MY we eat the spolied and 3days leftover it was disgusting. how can these people do this... it was really horrible service and the food.

First of all, I hate writing reviews, but i had to write one. After reading some of the other negative reviews, this review will reinforce it a little more.

1. Parking: These guys need to advertise or at least put up signs on parking. Las Vegas BLVD is not the friendliest place especially when you are new in town and on top of that a tourist.

2. Service was generally good, but not the best. I think Sushi restaurants do a far better job that these guys.

3. Food quantity: I had some Nan(?) and some Chicken Makanni (I can't spell the name correctly) and it was more sauce than meat. The rice was decent, especially the flavored one (Starts with a B). Lentils was a little overcooked.

Overall, not too impressed. I was in the mood for some Indian food and I was totally disappointed.

Pros: Spacious compared to most indian restaurants

First of all, the location: How the hell does one park in this restaurant. There aren't any parking signs so i had to park somewhere in a casino across the street to get to this place in this blistering Vegas heat.

When I got there, I thought the place would be amazing based on the looks. WRONG..!

The food was horrible, there was more sauce than meat. Granted the only thing they have going is their buffet which is probably the only variety they have. Totally disappointed. My uncles own restaurants around the world and they would laugh at how they operate.

The Mango lassi, which I have had a ton elsewhere, was nowhere close to being good. Customer service sucked as does their "Tap Water" glass...!

Bottom line, don't go here if you are from out of town. I am from New York and we have restaurants that are far superior than here. I don't know how the locals can rave about this place.

I was totally unhappy with their service. The decor look decent, but not the best. Parking was ridiculous and I can't believe I had to park a ways in order to get to their place. What disappointed me the most was their timing for lunch where you only have a few hours.

The food on a scale of 1-10 is a 3.
I got an upset stomach after I went to their place and that's the first sign of food that isn't great. I've been to many restaurants around the west coast and these guys are definitely not the best.

Outsiders, Please avoid this place, unless you are up for an upset stomach and hours in the "Hole".

Did not like at all , the service was very very poor. I will not ever send someone to eat their. Also the Food is not that great , my chicken curry , the chicken was not even cooked.
I also asked for a glass water and it took them like 25mins too get it , and the glasses were dirty and smelly.

I would not tell any of my family or friends there.

IF YOU EVER GO TO LAS VEGAS AND HUNGRY ,STAY HUNGRY BUT DO NOT EVEN THINK OF TRYING THIS RESTRUANT.
FIRST OF ALL THEY WILL CHARGE YOU TOO MUCH BEYOND YOUR EXPECTATIONS ONCE YOU ARE IN THE RESTRUANT.

They use earlier day party left-over for buffet, (ONE OF THE COOK TOLD US THIS WHO IS NO MORE WORKING THERE)ONE OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS PLATE WE FOUND BEER CAP AND WHEN WE ASKED THE MANAGER SUNNY WAS VERY RUDE,UNFORTUNATELY ALL OF OUR FAMILY MEMBERS WILL THINK THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE GOING TO ANY OF THE INDIAN RESTRUANT

This restaurant was recommended to me by the concierge at my hotel upon my request for Indian dining. To my dismay, this turned out to be THE WORST indian dining experience I've had. There's more sauce than meat served in the dishes. The curries are extra greasy with low quality fattty meat. Unfortunately, I took some colleagues with me and I was embarrassed with my choice of dining. Try Gaylord at the Rio instead because Tamba or Gandhi's (sister properties I found out) are low grade, poor quality eateries.

I am not the type of person that writes reviews, I've worked in restaurants before, so I can understand and sympathize with servers and managers when something goes wrong. My experience is one that no diner can sympathize with, and deserves to have this review written. Tamba came highly recommended by the concierge at MGM so my husband and I decided to check it out. The place looked beautiful, and the restaurant was almost completely occupied with Indians, so we knew the food had to be good. Several servers took care of us that night, a little unusual but everyone was very nice and helpful. The problems started when we attempted to order drinks. We wanted bottled water, but they could only provide sparkling bottled water (fine), we stuck with tap water. We ordered a wine; and they happened to out of it. (understandable). A second wine was ordered; and again out of it. (still understandable). After 4 or 5 attempts (unusual) of jumping back and forth with wine and beer they kept denying us, the server apologized and suggested a nice wine they did have. We denied the Indian beer because we knew it was the only one they had, of course they will say it tastes good. At this point we were a little bit annoyed. We then attempted food. I requested eggplant, and guess what; they were out of eggplant. I settled for what was suggested which was ok. Next we attempted dessert. The one i wanted to try; they were out of as well, and they were out of coffee. This was ridiculous. Despite everyone being so nice and helpful; how can you run a business if you can't provide anything? Why do they even have a menu? Might as well have a fixed menu; because it was so annoying . They had nothing we asked for all night. I've never been to any restaurant that was out of everything in their "full" bar, or out of something as little as coffee. If you go to Tamba, just have the server order for you, because you are not going to get anything you ask for. I wanted to speak to a manager and in front of me was a kid. He said his uncle owned the restaurant. I just said forget about it and we left. I guess I would expect the lack of management if i put the responsibility of my restaurant on a kid. I suggest going to the Mcdonalds next door... at least they have everything on the menu.

Good food, atmosphere (incl. music), price, and location on the strip. I am not an expert on Indian food --but my friends were --one from Punjab and the other from Sri Lanka. They praised the food as authentic. The waiters were pleasant, attentive but not annoying and accomodated all our requests --and we had quite a few -- changing dishes -- etc. There is a large amount of seating and we did not need a reservation, We were so impressed --we went back the next night for dinner at Tamba's. We had more than enough food for a reasonable price ($40/person) --we could have eaten our fill for $25/person. Enjoy

This restuarant is set in the Hawaiin market place in Vegas.
After a week of vegas buffets, we were hungry for indian food and went to this place with a lot of expectations. The buffet was $15, though the menu card mentioned it as $13. It turned out to be the worst indian resturant I ever went.. Here are the pros and cons.
I would better suggest Bellagio, mirage buffets for a few dollars more or even at lesser prices.
Pros - Setting and environment was good
Cons - Bad quality food , tasteless, all plastic ware - spoons, forks, side dishes . You need to clear your own plates. The waiters don't do it. The only thing that was good was the sambar rice .

Even in california there are Indian restaurants, you will get better quality and different variety food in just $9 / person. Food quality is not matching with the price. Customer service was good.

18.?? USD per buffet, including tax it becomes around 20USD.
So much expensive.

I am a student here in Las Vegas and one thing I miss is mom's cooking. Me and a couple of friends were touring the strip one day when we came across a strange man with a sign. We couldn't understand him very well but he constantly repeated TAMBA. We would have kept walking but he also uttered... "Indian food" Why not? It was a little tucked in a shopping center, but we found it... the place is beautiful. Everyone is so nice, and most importantly the food reminded me of home. The smell, look, and of course the taste. I just wanted to share my experience... now i come back at least a couple times a month. Don't miss out.

We were around 8 guys went to this Restaurent. Before we go there, we read most of the reviews and also the hotels website. We were little happy on looking into those things.. With all the high hopes, we reached Tamba, it was a good queue and we were in line. They charged $22+tax per buffe.t Surprised a lot on this money. Hoping that food will be good.

Hotel sorrounding doesn't looks like STAR hotel or something bigger to ask for $22. Total number of items for Veg and Non-veg was not up to the mark. Not much desserts, not much varieties, and most
importantly no taste. It was a less ordinary hotel in Las Vegas.

These guys should go to Hotel Minerva located either at Atlanta or Washingon and see their Buffet.. That was a awesome food over. They have 4 to 5 rows of food from north, south, bengali everything. They provide icecreams, juice, soups, saladas and much more.. Everything is really good taste. All this is for just $13. If not, atleast visit nearby Gandhi Hotel in Las Vegas.

I strongly recommend that people please don't be fooled by seeing the websites and the colorful pictures. you will not see anything like that. All are just to attract the people. Please don't think of going over here.

I made reservations for my husbands birthday to this restaurant only knowing it was Indian food and near the strip. Our group of 15 enjoyed every bit of the experience. It was only 1 block from the Bellagio right on Las Vegas Avenue and an easy walk. The table was all set up and ready when we got there. The service was great and the waitstaff helped those in our party who were not familiar with the cuisine. They even brought out a dessert with a candle for the birthday boy. The prices are great, the atmosphere is perfect. Our guests who live in Vegas can't wait to go back for a return visit. I will definitley be back again when I come back to the area. Thanks for making my husbands birthday special.

Menu is the typical Indian restaurant stuff, though they do have some south Indian dishes. The food was surprisingly good, not cuisine , mind you, but much better than the usual . Since it is very reasonably priced, it is a great deal for Vegas. Definitely recommend for everyone. Food is not as spicy as we like it, but good for western palates.

I come to Las Vegas once a year for conventions. I am a vegetarian, so it is hard to get a good meal late in the evening. Some of my colleagues have told me that they know of an Indian restaurant that has large variety of vegetarian food. I said why not. They took me to a place call Tamba Indian Cuisine, and it was great. I had a mixed vegetarian curry that i cannot really pronounce but it was delicious. This meal was the best part of my trip.

My husband loves indian food, and since moving down to vegas, we have not found any good Indian restaurants. A friend of mine told us about this place on the strip called Tamba Indian Cuisine, and it was exactly what we were looking for. My husband has been to India several times, and he said the the food was very similar to India. Not to mention the entire place in general. Great decor and amazing service.

I am new to any type of food that is not Korean. After leaving home, I've been trying eveything. Tamba is one place that really stood out. One of my friends told me Indian food is not good; all the curry and everything. But he is wrong. There are a lot of curries, but it was really good. All colorful and vibrant. The taste, and the place in general was really great. So if you want to try something different but good, go to Tamba Indian Cuisine in Las Vegas.

If you are even looking for this place, it might be hard to find. Tamba Indian Cuisine is a hidden treasure. Its on the strip, but tucked away in some market place. Although this place is definitely worth the trouble. The food and service is remarkable.

My girlfriend and I are frequent restaurant hoppers. After eating out so much, its hard to find a new place. I looked in the Best Restaurant guide and I came across Tamba Indian Cuisine. We went there, and let me tell you, this place was great. From head to toe, this place was awesome.

Dont miss out if you have a chance to eat at Tamba Indian Cuisine. I hang out with a lot of indian people and if i got a dollar for every time I heard "lets have lunch at Tamba" I wouldn't be in college right now, i'd allready be rich. If you want something good, affordable, and not to mention, make you full. try Tamba's lunch buffet. it's really good.

I've had indian food several times before, and I did not enjoy any of them. Although I've heard really good things about Tamba Indian Cuisine, I was still hesitant about going because of my other experiences here in las vegas. Anyhow, my friends decided they wanted to go to tamba one night, and I agreed. I didn't want to be the party pooper. This was the best decision of my life. the waiter suggested some tandoori items, and it was great. I had a bite of my friends chicken tikka masala, and that was just amazing as well. As far as everything else goes, everything was perfect. By far the best indian place in Las Vegas.

Please check out this restaurant. I had the best time. I attended an event there, and everything was great. from the overall look to the food. I also went the next week for dinner, and I have no complaints. everything was on the ball.

All I can say about this place is WOW!!! The ambiance, decor, service, and food was out of this world. I've traveled the world, and I have to say this place is up in the top 10. You won't be sorry.

If you want to go anywhere in Las Vegas, go to Tamba Indian Cuisine. This place was recommended to me by one of my buddies, and i cant stop thanking him. I go there at least once a month now. They have great food, great service, and vary original. I highly recomend Tamba.

I have lived in Las Vegas for 13 years, and I never ate at an Indian Restaurant before... I was recommended Tamba Indian cuisine by a friend... and let me tell you... it was the best experience I have ever had...I went there on a Date and everything was perfect. Ambiance was great... romantic, and the music they played just flowed perfectly... thats not even mentioning the food... The food was great... a great cultural experience... I highly recomend this restaurant... check it out next time ur in vegas.

Food Quality: The Food was excellent. Right amount of spices. Great taste both Veg & Non-Veg items were good.

Quantity: Worth the money, lot of food. I couldn't finish my Chicken Briyani. I had to take some with me.

Price: Decent price for a Vegas Restaurant.

Crowded: No. You don't need a Reservation. It is a big Place. Kids friendly too.

Service: Customer Service was good. It takes little bit of time to bring the Food but it is same at all India Places.

Clean: The place was very clean and nicely decorated. A Classical India music in the back ground playing all the time.

I have been to many indian restaurants and this one by far is the worst one. They have bad food, bad service and on top of that expensive prices.

The host and the waiter were non-courteous, and the service was horriable. I will never go to this place again and I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Go next door to the hamburger place and you will get your money's worth
