I don't write negative reviews lightly. This, however, is ridiculous. We've had the car (09 Mazda 5) for less than 3 months. I work from home so I hardly ever drive it. I noticed an issue with the brakes when I test drove; I made them replace them all before I bought. So I'm not a total idiot. The noise problem was present when I bought it, and I called about it a couple of days after taking it home. They told me to take it in to their service area and they would diagnose. The service guys told me that the tires were worn unevenly and cupping (the car had 70k, this seemed reasonable to me) and that was causing the road noise. I knew I had to replace the tires soon, and that was fine with me, so I waited til I could get $ for tires. The noise continues, people comment about it, my Dad says "that's not cupping in the tires, they bullshitted you to get you to keep the car." Turns out, he was right. I took it in for the one free oil change they give you and asked them to examine the sound. Now that it was out of the 30 day bring it back for no reason thing, they told me right away, just by hearing the noise. "oh yeah, that's definitely a problem with the struts. I'd take it to a mazda dealer". The noise had not changed since I purchased the car. Remember, the first time I brought it in when it was making the same noise with the same severity, they could find nothing wrong with it except unevenly worn tires.

I ended up having to replace both front struts and mounts and both rear shocks were leaking so had to replace them too. That's $1000 depending on where you live. When I called Chris to complain (and Chris is a really nice guy, not sure why he'd sell me a car with obvious problems), he transferred me to Armando. Armando told me he had to go and would call me back. That was a week ago. I've heard nothing.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Yes, I should have taken the car to an independent mechanic. Yes, I should not have trusted these "nice" folks that told me it was just a tire issue that would be solved when I bought new ones. But for what I've put into this POS car, I could've bought a new one.

The best part... I had my 06 Honda Civic in their "consignment" program, where they sell it on their lot for you so you don't have to deal with craigslist, and they make a little $$ too. Chris assured me it would sell really quickly since it was in great shape and had low miles. TWO MONTHS LATER... "well, it's been a little slow." I picked it up, put it on craigslist that day, showed it that night, had cash in hand the next day. It sold in ONE DAY from a craigslist ad.

All in all, a huge, costly mistake on my part. Don't make the same mistake. If I could afford it, I'd drop the car off today. You won't get that sleazy feeling from them, but they will be selling you a POS. My Mom had a great experience at Hendricks of Durham with a used car.

I recently purchased my first car on my own from CBS Cars. I had a great experience. All of the staff that I came in contact were friendly and helpful. There is no pressure to buy here...which I loved! My salesman was very knowledgeable and had a wide range of information about the different cars on the lot. If he didn't know the answer he found the information for me. My financing was a breeze to get through. I love the environment there at the car lot. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a GREAT deal on a used car. You will love the people that work here.

People say that buying a car is the second hardest thing behind buying a home. Well, at CBS Cars, the experience is so easy and enjoyable that I??ve purchased three cars from them over the course of just six years. These include a Corvette, a Chevy Blazer, and a BMW 330ci and they have all been excellent buys. There are many reasons that have made me a repeat and loyal customer. One of the main reasons is the utmost friendliness and attention to customer-satisfaction by Rufus Greene. He is always willing to go the extra mile to take care of my needs. As soon as you let Them know what vehicle you are looking for, they get to work and start looking and not just around the local area but all along the East Coast. When they find your perfect car, they make sure to make it look immaculate before you take ownership. What makes their cars even better is their very good value. All of my cars have been better deals than compared to private owners or dealerships. Unlike dealerships, CBS Quality Cars also sells comprehensive warranties at very reasonable prices. With CBS, I may never have reason to purchase a new vehicle again. I only wish buying a home were this enjoyable.

Today I purchased my 5th car and I can honestly say that this was my best car buying experience I have ever had.
My husband was out of town for the weekend and it was my grand idea to buy a new cargo van for the business. He gave me some tips on what to ask the dealer and trusted that I would make a wise decision. I found the cargo van I wanted on the internet at CBS Quality Cars. Most of the dealing was done over the internet and phone with Taylor Mayo. He was very professional and answered all of my questions promptly. I had my two babies with me so I didn??t have time to go to the dealership and haggle back and forth. Taylor truly wanted to earn my business and did so without trying to smooth talk me or offer me empty promises like most car salespeople who just want to sell a car do. Once the deal was finalized over the phone, I went into the dealership to sign the paperwork.
The next person I met with was Ryan Pool, the sales manager. Now this is generally the part of the deal that is the most dreadful. The paperwork has to be done and the guy generally runs over everything so fast that you don??t really know what you are signing but you are afraid to ask too many questions because this is the big guy and you don??t want him to get irritated with you. Well not with Ryan. Rayn was so personable and friendly I felt like I could ask him any question. When I didn??t understand something he explained it again. Like I said before, I had my two babies with me and one was running around his office and he thought it was great. Ryan made this part of the car buying experience extremely pleasant. He was very honest and I could tell that he was more concerned with customer service than making a buck.
Another thing that I really appreciated was the fact that Taylor paired me with someone that he knew would deal well with all of the commotion from the kids. I liked not having to worry if the big guy was going to be getting irritated with my two year old acting like a two year old.
Overall I am a very satisfied customer. So dads and husbands, you can feel confident sending your daughters and wives to CBS Quality Cars. Ask for Taylor or Rayn and I can assure you they will be treated well.

Thank you for the best car buying experience ever!

Terrible salesmanship. Lied about car details and when something on the car was broken they refused to fix and admit they knew about it. Never offer them business. They are all liars and crooks.

On Nov. 1st I purchased a vehicle from CBS. With agreement to do the Schedule B maintenance. On Nov. 2nd smoke started coming from the exhaust from the tail pipe and the check engine light came on. I have an We owe you from the company that states they were suppose to do maintenance and fix the acceleration/smoke issue! But the owner Steve Smith doesn't care!! This didn't mean anything to him! To date I have spent over $2300 on getting this car repaired and it is still not repaired! The car had not been serviced at all! The mechanic i took it to removed leaves and sand from the inside of the car! The wrong oil was put in I had to get a oil change, engine flush, spark plug wires changed, and coil packs put on and its still a smoking train!
